Hi there Squash2. While out on the road today we found this cache at 0353pm after a short search - and the container and log are in good condition. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to Squash2 for this cache - our find 10906 and the 4th of 4 finds for the day.FieldNotes: The container needs Maintenance. The contaner is damaged (beyond repair) and will need to be replaced. While the log was dry and quite useable, there was no plastic bag for it. I retrieved the lid and left it on top of the cache is in a protected postion.
Out with the boys on an epic few days of finding smilies. Thanks to the co's for placing these caches to enjoy. Sorry for the genetic log
Headed up to Geraldton for a couple of days of geocaching with Lachlan177, Geotrakka and Cravo10.
Venturing up through the towns along Indian Ocean Drive, we collected caches on the way up and then ventured around town cleaning up all of the latest placements before eventually retiring to our accomodation, dinner and then even more caching.
Enjoyed the variety of sizes, walks, park and grabs, labs of the caches which always makes for a good day out. Thanks to the local COs for the days fun.

Another day out while up in Gero, enjoyable weather with a little sprinkle of rain.
Thanks to the local COs for recent maintenance and also placing to start with.
Great to finalise the series

Caching in the Greater Geraldton area today. Our intention for the day was to attack some power trails and do map cleanup around town.
Cheers Squash2!

pug002 found it 32/10/20, Squash2 we think we found this, we got confused but if we didn't please delete it. TFTC
Out trying to grab a few more in the Chapman River series. Very pretty walk to this spot to make a quick find. Thanks Squash2
Accompanied with iluvtrekking for the day - the weather was so beautiful day. Signed the log as " EV + ILT" ,
Thanks Squash2 for the cache and hunt. [^][^]

Mr ILT set off on the Chapman River walk with Everlasting just after lunch. They started with #4 and worked their way up the river. Mrs ILT mirrored their progress in the 4WD giving them an out when required. They enjoyed their, sometimes difficult, walk in this beautiful and peaceful spot.
Thanks to all involved in placing and maintaining the caches, quite an effort.

As the weather has picked up after yesterday’s grey sky and rain we decided that we needed to get back out there and pick up some more of the Geraldton caches. As we have come to expect we have ended up with a real mixed bag. Some we expected to be easy proved themselves to be a real challenge, some with higher difficulty we found easily, and some we missed altogether! Still, we did add to our smilies today, but we had to work hard for it!
We parked in the designated car park, and thought we followed the directions in the CO’s description, but the shortcut path was a bit more challenging than we had expected. It might have been due to the rain yesterday on the clay base, but there were a few slips and skids on the way down. Nothing was injured except pride! Got to GZ relatively easily after that but it still took us a few minutes before we got to sign the log.
We passed some lovely wildflowers on the way to GZ, and just had to take a photo of this lemon scented sun orchid (thelymitra antennifera)

Glad i decided to be adventurous and try this one! Enjoyed the scenic walk through the bush...
Decided to take the main path as i thought it would be the easiest, little did I know the next minute I was scaling down a small cliff.. haha. Once i was down searching for the cache was an easy find.
Didnt want to climb back up the cliff so followed a small bike trail back towards the general carpark direction. TFTC. Nature walk caches are definitely my fave!

I parked the geomobile at the end of Fairfax and went a strolling
A trio of caches beckoned me along the banks of the Chapman this morning
I may as well find them in numerical order [:o)]
So # 5 it was
The vehicular type track took me within 30 metres of GZ.
But 30 metres of impenetrable scrub stood between me and a cache find [:o]
I wandered back to where I had seen another trail branching off into the scenery and followed that.
At GZ at last,
I looked up at the cliff line and wondered where in this mess a cache might hide [:o]
It did not stay hiding for long
TFTC and a wonderful morning stroll along the Chapman [^]

Had fun getting onto the right track. A lot nicer walking on the walking track instead of the sandy road. Thanks for the adventure. Our only find for Geraldton.
I love finding caches in the scrub, they tend to be a tad larger & easier to find. Thanks for the hide Squash2.

Continuing our Chapman River geocaching adventure we had the choice again. Track 1 or track 2. Based on our previous experience we took "same" track as the previous cache but of course we were wrong again. But it was not too bad, some goat-climbing, found the cache easily, signed the log and took the other track back. TFTC Squash2.
A nice walk on a Saturday afternoon. This area is always nice in the spring time. TFTC. SL.
Thanks for the great walk, took our 6yr old and he took the spider, left a green frog.
Found a few weeks ago and have forgotten the exact date. Hopefully this is close to what i logged in the cache. TFTC.
This was our 1st cache find in a caching run of 4 Finds & 0 DNFs today.
We found it at 13:48 so this now makes our total find count 7163.

We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area today. We heard lots of music and voices, but they were coming from waaay ovr the other side of the river.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Perfect (Around 0 metres).
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Car.
Dropped: TB "Felix II"

Day 3, caching around Geraldton, on our 2nd trip around Australia.
Geo-hubby took a bike ride with Ian from team Pathfinder, along the Chapman River.
This is not a regular bike trail, being quite rough and extreme in places.
A good variety of caches hidden along the way, makes for a great ride or walk.
Thanks for the caches, Squash2.

Lol my gps was a bit off here, had to restart it, then found it =) definately a little more challenging for me
As suggested in the cache description we parked at the end of Fairfax St and walked to the cache. A beautiful bright sunny day and quite a few wildflowers are starting to put on a show.
It looks like the Chapman River hasn't flowed for quite some time....several years maybe??
We are from SA so not sure of the local weather patterns.
The cache was found quickly and easily, is in good condition, and has plenty of goodies for swaps.
Thanks for a nice one Squash2 [^]

Took a stroll this morning to find this cache as it is very close to home and we needed a cache to fill our caching calendar for today. Although not hot we couldn't believe how humid the morning was and needed a complete change of clothes when we arrived home even though we only walked, hmmm... thought we had left this sort of stuff behind in Karratha.
It was such a shame to find the bush surrounding the cache has been burnt as when I was briefly home in November I had taken a stroll down here and was thinking how lovely the bush was becoming again. I do hope the rain and humidity brings everything back to life and that they catch the idiots who started the fire in the first place.
Despite the fire the cache was safe and sound as Squash2 had found a wonderfully safe spot to hide it - I doubt even rain (if we ever get any) will affect this cache.
Thanks for helping us fill our calendar - we are rationing out the Geraldton caches at the moment so that we can fill a few more days.
Cheers
Sue

Our first cache! Found at 3.40pm 20/09/12. A great introduction as it was a lovely walk to GZ. Apart from a few motorbikes in the distance it was a peaceful and interesting walk. It was really nice to walk amongst the wildflowers.
Thanks Squash 2. This was a real treat and it's great to experience a part of town we didn't know existed.
