All four of us had a good look around for this one and had no luck. Thanks for the search though!
On a long weekend caching around albury and district.
Quick grab in between the muggle traffic.
Thanks Yowie3747

Managed a quick park and grab as we were leaving town today after doing a little sightseeing and caching around Beechworth. Thanks again Yowie 3747 for the cache and the bit of history lesson also.
Found it easily as it was sitting slightly out of it's hiding spot
As we drove back though town later in the day we saw a few boys standing around looking in the area
Great hide

The weather is a bit better today, so grab a couple of caches as we leave town. We had noticed this ones existence yesterday, but had already passed, and knew that we could get it today. A nice hide, and some very interesting history. We wondered what happened to the horseshoes after the election.
A quick find after a bit of thought. SL

Met up with Team Crackers and Alansee, for 5 days of fantastic caching around Beechworth,
Myrtleford & Yackandandah.
Took a break from the power series, to do a few other caches in the area.
This cache found quickly, and in good condition.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Yowie3747, for us and others to find.

Found with The Drovers. Our companions had been here before so it was a pretty quick find. The next day someone remembered the hide but not the item! Such is caching.
A clever hide with a little surprise makes for a memorable cache. Found en route to a few in the historical area. TFTC.
This cache was found during a big three day cache run, up to and around Kelly country which included Benalla, Tolmie, Beechworth and Glenrowan. A great three days spent exploring and discovering with a fantastic group of fellow cachers, which we collectively called ourselves 'The Kelly Gang'.
We had camped the previous night at a great little spot in the Woolshed Valley. A small creek ran by the camping ground and there was a large 'firepit' on which dinner the night before was cooked. After a good nights sleep and some breakfast, we packed up camp and set out for the days adventure. We visited some amazing locations, some that took some effort to get to, but the effort was very much worth it, both for the views and the significance of the sites.
Jamin Appleford joined me for some caching in the hills this afternoon. A nice easy and quick park and grab. Thanks for the hide.

This cache has been back in place for some weeks, sorry I thought it had been re-enabled.
On the way home after a lovely afternoon caching. The GPS was playing up and we had trouble pinpointing the exact location. After 10 minutes off fruitless searching, we actually tripped on it in the middle of the leaf covered footpath. I think the cache had been muggled. We put it back together and re-hid however may not be the correct location.
[:(!] Spending the weekend with my son and his family, having some spare time on my hands I went for a couple of hours of caching, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was located and it was in hand in a matter of minutes, what a missable day for caching.

Up this way to catch up with one of my cousins and chip away at a few caches in the area,
armed with loaded our GPS’s and enthusiasm we split the time between the two.
The caching proved interesting and varied with the types of hides found, Manny thanks to

Slink1 had some family business up up this way so it was an opportunity to pick up some caches at the same time. GPS's loaded and filled with caches we havn't found we set off to make the trip worthwhile. Thats the best thing about geocaching - there is always some you haven't found. We had a great time and Slink1 did what he had to do too. Thanks to Yowie3747. TNLN SL
What a sneaky little hide that I was very lucky to stumble across in near darkness.

This one took me several minutes to locate, a good hide. It is a very interesting story about the Golden Horseshoes. It would seem that in those days Gold was inn plentiful supply, even to make a set of shoes for a horse. I found the town of Beechworth to be a charming town with all of it's original architecture in tact. I could not resist a visit to the Bakery for coffee and cakes, as well as buying my Hot Cross buns for Easter in Murray Bridge for the Caching event.
Found as Nicnax with SciFiRulz. TFTC

Heading off to an event in Beechworth and grabbing a few caches along the way with Snap Happy. Stood around chatting to other cachers between the rain and got bitten by the bullants, so it was then a quick grab, sign and back in the car. Thanks Yowie FTC.
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. Went looking for some caches after attending the event nearby, this was the closest to the school that we had transferred to because of the rain. The horses were curious to see what we were doing. TFTC
Came to Beechworth for the Maker Madness event. The sun came out and the rain stopped after and it was just right for caching. TFTC.
Staying in Beechworth for the weekend picking up some of the local caches.
Thanks Yowie3747 for the hide,

A Maker Madness event in Beechworth is a good chance to knock over a few more caches in the beautiful north east corner of the state.
After a great meal with The Coffees at a pizza and brewery in town we headed out here to find a couple more caches before the end of the day. The horseshoes came up to the fence to watch us in the dark and gave the Wenchette quite a fright.
Thank you for the cache Yowie3747.

7915 + 970 = 8885. Found during a 3 day visit to the region with Sol de Lune, Albida33 and Mtrax.
The main event for our visit was the HSS Series with many many more in between. SDL says it all in his log. All my fault really !! Lol...
Apart from the series there were many bonus caches we found during the trip - this being one of them. We made a hasty trip north to beat the rain for a while and grabbed this one while we did.
Thanks again Yowie3747 !!

This one is a couple of metres up the road from where I have lunch everyday and I really wanted to find it. Great fun and the horses are awesome. The Rainbow Warrior himself can't stop talking about being licked by a horse! TFTC

Not so easy, looked and looked while Mrs 1SR patted the clydesdale in the neighbouring paddock. About to give up when I nearly trod on it.

Off on our tour of Beechworth, took a few minutes before trying there! TFTC Yowie3747, we will see more of your work.
My 50th find! Seems fitting that it's at a place nowhere near home and which caching brought me to. TFTC!
No luck with this- seems to be the case with all your caches Yowie!
Looking at the pictures we were very close though.

Thanks for the hide! Found a lot of yours Yowie! Thanks for making this a great stay in Beechworth!
Found on a great caching day with Roostaman. Glad to be back caching in the area, if only for a few weeks while on holidays visiting family in Tocumwal. We made finds in the Letterbox and HSS series, and many other caches scattered around on our travels, including many challenge caches.

# 7018 Found with Blacklegend on a great trek around the area finding some of the letterboxes & the HSS series and other caches. Not many muggles around here today, and nice warm weather as well. Nice hide too. Thanks for the cache Yowie3747,
Roostaman.

Found on our 2013 Geelong Christmas trip. Always love coming to Beechworth, it's a very interesting and classic place. On the way out, we got this cache. Parked near the horseshoe, but not in front because there were cars stopping in front of it and reading it from the car window. A short walk to GZ where the cache was found in an ironic position after a few minutes. Didn't expect that, nice hide. Love the little extra "trinket" that is attached to the cache as well, very original. TFTC Yowie3747!
Walked straight to what appeared to be the obvious hide....but no...it's over there instead. good hide. Tftc.
Great bit of history. Cache bonus most appropriate. Had to keep an eye out for muggle joggers who seemed to pop up from nowhere. Clever hide. TFTC
Checked the obvious spot, and the fence line before trusting the coords and grabbing this sneaky hide.
Nice addition to the prize too, thanks Yowie

We were pleased that when we arrived in mid to late afternoon, the area ws totally devoid of muggles. Our GPS took us to a particular object but after a few minutes, we concluded that the cache was not hidden there. We gradually widened our search area and soon the cache was discovered, with an appropriate attachment. The cache and it's contents were in good condition. TFTC Ypwie3747.
Suscoe's 19th find of 20 for today.
A delightfully cloudy day with a little cooler temperature than yesterday.
This took us a little while as the GPS had trouble settling.
Logged and returned.

Found the golden horseshoe tucked away in its hide. This took a small hunt as was not where we expected it to be.
Thanks Yowie3747

The cache page was a great read and weather it is true or urban legend it shows our politicians have not changed much over the years. We have passed by here many times but this is the first time we have understood what the monument was all about.
Being watch by some horses, not wearing Golden horse shoes, we searched for the cache and Diane made a nice quick find of the nice hide.
Thanks Yowie3747 for the cache and story.

Replaced worn camouflage and also added a little something to make this cache more fun.
Been past this horseshoe many times over the years, but never stopped to read the plaque. Thanks for making us stop. TFTC
Found this one as CC & Tasie_devil got distracted patting the horses in the paddock. TFTC!
Driving past here this morning and there was hardly anyone about so I pulled over and made my way to GZ. Well I thought there is a most likely candidate, so after a thorough search and narrowly missing a very large bull ant I decided to reconsider my approach and was rewarded for my efforts. Very sneaky, very very sneaky, nice one. slt4tc
2423. Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1055 on a tour of some of the region. We love the alternate Mondays to go seeking caches. We had been to the monument on a previous trip when we did the Monuments and Memorials Multi.Good to come back for a second look.SL Tnx yowie3747
Stopped here to get information on another cache so were pleased to get this as well. TFTC
It is interesting that the closest paddock has horses in it - maybe they have golden horse shoes?? TFTC
It was not that easy to find this one! But I kept on trying and finally I was successful. TFTC.

Hey !! I wouldn't mind finding a golden horseshoe or two at today's prices
Instead I settled for finding a well hidden, golden geocache, here today
I'm guessing the horseshoe on the nearby monument isn't gold.... hey
There were a couple of friendly horses on the other side of the fence that might like some new shoes, or apples

Wangaratta Area 2013 with Mtrax. Having finished with the caches around the lake it was time to go a bit further afield. Quite an interesting story for this location. The cache hide was another special effort. Thanks.
