It is with a heavy heart that we announce Lucy has gone. Concerted efforts to find her have proved fruitless and as she was a "one off" she cannot be replaced. There is no doubt that where ever she is she will be very contented and also have fond memories of those who sought her out and entertained her through those cold lonely nights. R.I.P. Lucy
Unfortunately Lucy appears to have done a runner with a fisherman and is nowhere to be seen. So until we find her you will just have to queue up like everyone else and wait patiently. Cheers
What an awesome place for a geo, waves were crashing thru the gorjus rocks nice breeze while wondering … found decoy as well
Looks like Lucy has had a party!!!
Bloody decoy got us... but we had a laugh and searched on. Turns out the actual geo had already been picked up by hubby but clearly he was having a "mans look"

Well, almost spat the chewy and called it… then! Der! Right there. Thanks for the challenge!
Out with the boys on an epic few days of finding smilies. Thanks to the co's for placing these caches to enjoy. Sorry for the genetic log
Loving the 4x4 adventures
Loving the 4x4 adventures
Another day in Geraldton and we cleaned up a bunch of 4x4 caches north of Drummond Cove and then ventured south towards Greenough. We missed a few caches due to heavy rains and some fast flowing water.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Caching in the Greater Geraldton area today. Our intention for the day was to attack some power trails and do map cleanup around town.
Cheers Squash2!
Cheers Squash2!
What an awesome location - another gem that I would not have found without geocaching! An easy drive along the track in the 4WD and with the two vehicles leaving earlier while I was picking up a nearby cache, when I got to Lucy there was no-one else around. Wild, remote and peaceful - loved it. Lucy was looking lovely too... and she seems to have a new outfit since the last photo was taken Wandered over to GZ and was lucky enough to make a very quick find - and no decoy seen either! Stayed for a while to explore after replacing the cache. A fave point for sure All ok here today - TFTC
Wow.....beautiful wild ocean.
Yes, like others I found the decoy first and it took a bit of searching on my hands and knees until muggle hubby found it....
Stayed and admired the scenery until it was time to grab some lunch.
Thanks for the cache and for showing us this beautiful stretch of coastline.
Favourite point from me and I love Lucy

Hi there Squash2. While out on the road today we found this cache after a short search - and the container and log are in good condition. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to Squash2 for this cache - our find 8000
Out ‘n about with m4yb getting a few caches.
She got all excited but then......doh! But not long after she turned up the prize. Nice spot but the winds pretty cold.
Thanks for the hide and Squash2team.

On our way south, megawat60 and I are now in Greenough exploring the swag of new caches. This one was tricky indeed but got there, thanks for bringing us to this great spot.
Decided to head to Geraldton to pick up all the new caches that had recently come out and also rectify some of our previous DNFS. Had a good days caching with 57 finds and amazingly only 1DNF. Most of the caches were quickly found. Thanks to all the CO,S for placing these caches
We decided to spend the Easter weekend in camping in Dongara.
Great spot, loved the waves crushing on the rocks, perfect spot for a lunch
Thanks Squash2 for the hide.

Thanks Squash2 for the hide.
Today we went to Geenough to The Open-air Museum and then to Lucy's Beach. The Car parked in front of the 4WD Panel and started on Foot to search for this Cache. What a beautiful Beach! It was worth coming here! Thanks for the Cache.
The decoy was a fun element which stonewalled us for a short time. Nice hide. TFTC.
Enjoying the journey with iluvtrekking as we head towards Geraldton. So many great spots to check out along the way. Lucy looked particularly fetching today but she didn't distract us from the task at hand. Soon had the container in hand to record our visit. Thanks Squash2
Caching our way to Geraldton with richlink, Lucy was looking splended today. Thanks for the cache Squash2
Checked today. Lucy is looking lovely and awaiting visitors........Preferably males.
Whoops I was too quick to log it when it was only the decoy! As much as we tried none of us including the kids who were searching everywhere could find the actual cache!
TFTH thought this was great!! Glad we came on down. Spent a bit of time amongst the rocks and small pools. The Geograndkids got a few scratches. Geo H found the cache. He excelled himself today. Great place. Loved it.
Lovely Lucy raised a chuckle from us all before we head off for the hunt. Younger members of our teams were quick to find it before the "elders" had even caught up. We signed the log and then explored the area. It was also a great waiting spot for half the teams while the others continued on to another less accessible cache in the 4WD. A fave point for the fabulous location choice. Thanks for bringing us here Squash2!
Locations like this one is why we love geocaching! Thankfully we were able to borrow a 4WD today to be able to experience this wonderful bit of coastline! Lucy was looking good by the way! Geo H made the find then we all enjoyed the beach for a while before half of the teams went further along the sandy track to retrieve the next cache! TFTC a favourite point from us, we had lots of fun here!
Found TFTC. Lovely talk to a man camping with his dog. He didnt know what it was all about he had found it but we said do t tell us where. 2.15 pm
Well finally we got here again! We were here in 2012 just before the cache was published and never made it back here until now. Navigating up here with our new geo-4wd was a fair bit easier than with our geo-motorhome. Of course we found the decoy first but not long after that we found the real cache too! A lovely spot, maybe set up camp here one day! TFTC Squash2.
Lucy is indeed lovely and we managed to quickly locate the very good camo'd cache. Nice one Squash2 - thank you.
Lucy hey just love her!! What a great place to have a GC. Had lunch here watching the water belt up on the rocks. TFTC
Got to the 4WD Only sign but wasn't brave enough to take the 2WD on the track, despite the reassurances of the CO. Still a 500+m walk, kids weren't keen so we decided to give this one a miss. Off to the Hampton Arms now for the best steak and Guiness pie around! Thanks anyway.
On our way to a volunteer morning tea at the Greenough Museum and decided to check out Lucy's. Mother Duck has never been here before. Well hid Squash2. TFTC

While travelling to Kalbarri for some R and R stopped at Greenough for a rest and to find some caches. This was one of them. TFTC
Found at 2:40:00 PM with thepope. A nice drive into a great spot with fantastic views and a crafty hide as a bonus.
Thanks Squash2.
Thanks Squash2.
Found with my Pop, Gran & brother. Didn't take long then we walked on the beach and found a sick fox eating crabs. SL TFTC Squash2
We spent a lot of time a while ago finding this cache.today it took 30 seconds . unbelievable. Logged and returned. TFTF!
This was our 8th cache find in a caching run of 11 Finds & 1 DNFs today.
We found it at 12:49 so this now makes our total find count 7232.
[blue]
This cache is a micro [Red]not [/Red]a regular.
After finding over 7232 caches, it is really sad to note that the trend of placing small caches without swaps is increasing, especially in a spots such as this - where a larger container could have been placed. Doesn't anyone want to place large, kid friendly caches any more. [?]
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (Around 2 metres).
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks Squash2 for the hunt today.

Travelling south towards Perth, on our 2nd trip around Australia.
Drove down to the waters edge, to see the stunning rock formations, then visited Lucy and her friend.
A short search, and the cache was soon located.
Thanks for the hunt today, Squash2.

well that was fun getting there in the little starlet lol shes a mean off road machine lol. got there and it took me a while to actually find it and it was just by shear luck that i did hmmmm lol. TFTC
Left Mr Swaggie talking to Lucy and went to look for the cache! Quick find, yay, GRRR, a decoy! Spent the next ten minutes grazing knuckles, there sure are alot of hidey holes in those limestone rocks until finally all was revealed!
after finding... no thats not it. i nearly gave up as its pouring with rain!! but yay... found. nice area... shame the suns not out. said hi to lucy. tftc
I promised Geohubby he could stop and have a chat to Lucy just as soon as he'd helped me find the cache . Funnily enough he had it in hand in less than a minute (along with the decoy) ......Lucy had obviously worked her charms on him
A couple of camper trailers along the dunes about 150 metres away. Bright sunshine and a light but steady breeze....but enough to send the big rollers crashing over the rocks. We could have stood there all day watching each one roll in....this is the biggest so far...no the next one will be bigger....no the next one...
Lots of flotsam on the beach. I think if I was shipwrecked off shore from here I'd rather take my chances in the water than be dashed up on this beach
Geohubby enjoyed his chat with Lucy on the way back to the car and after she tantalisingly whispered in his ear he did an internet search and left her with the names of several good cosmetic surgeons.
Thanks for bringing us to this beautiful spot showing us the power of nature Squash2 [^][^][^]

Great camo, needed extra eyes to help with this one. Found with elpamyelhsa. TFTC
After driving up the road in an under-powered camper van, we stopped at the 4wd drive sign and walked the rest of the way. Found the decoy as soon as we got there, but no luck for the actual cache! Lucy looking very nice with here dinner now served!
Now we had got back to the campervan, and guess what! The side wheels had sunk into the sand, so after a bit of wheel spinning, a friendly local pulled us out! Wheeh!

This morning I was certain I had a fair idea where the cache would be hidden and we spent around 30 minutes disproving my theory, I was so sure that when I had chatted with Mr Squash the information I had gleened would have us cache in hand in a flash. That was not to be and in absolute desparation, as we needed a find today, I grabbed the mobile and prayed that the very weak signal would be adequate to ask for a hint or three. I had all my fingers and toes crossed that he was not going to slam the phone down on me after having no luck with our devilishly nasty Chapman River #6 cache. Fortunately for us he doesn't seem to hold a grudge so finally with much help from Squash2 we are able to stake a claim to a find on this elusive cache! As we stood looking at it, an in plain site hide, we had to wonder how the three of us didn't find it a couple of days back!
This is indeed a very beautiful spot to visit quite different to other coastal parts of Geraldton with many large rocks sitting on a ledged of rock along the beachline. The waves pounding through as a sight to behold! Although 4WD is mentioned on the sign at the track to the cache a high clearance 2WD could get in and turn around easily with just a short walk to GZ. This spot is definately well worth a visit for the coastal scenery alone and a cache makes it doubly good.
Thanks for sharing with us Squash2.

I think we are going cache blind when we hunt Squash2 caches - or perhaps we just like to go back several times to really enjoy the hunt. Hmmm... yes that is it, take our time and enjoy the hunt.
This spot is really worthy of a second or third visit and as we left it late in the afternoon to go out I was actually glad we didn't find the cache (searched for at least 30 minutes) as I spotted some wonderful old buildings along a heritage trail I hadn't realised existed so have an excuse to return.
We have emailed Squash2 to query what we did find just incase.

Called in on Lucy today and it seems she has found herself a friend, nauseous Nick . After hunting for a while and hunting a bit more we finally came up with the prize . Thanks Squash2 for bringing us to this spot.

Just returned from a conference in Tassie and noticed this new cache close to home. Just like an itch that needs scratching. I couldn't let it sit there 'unfound'. Two Geosons were keen to help so off we went in the Patrol. Torches in hand. Yes it was dark but this is one of my favourite places and I know it well. Lucy and I are great mates and have been known to share 'fashion' tips while the boys are 'fishin'. Many a bottle has been shared watching a beautiful sunset or enormous waves crashing on the rocks. A short distance to the South supplies bountiful Tailor. A true paradise.
I was barely out of the ute when Geoson had the cache in his hand. Clever hide. I had a giggle. Thanks Squash2.
