I was after an Earthcache today and this cache was nice and close. No trouble with the find even though I only had a black screen to look at. Lovely weather. Thanks.
TwoEms didnt get sprung by the Inspector of Nuisances. Is that because we were model citizens for not riding a bicycle on the footpath, or because we paid the nuisance fee upfront, before we even set foot on the pavement? The online parking meter charged us $13.57 for the two hour privilege of parking our car nearby. We used our virtual ticket wisely and picked up a handful of smiles on ourlegalbeachside stroll. Thank you for the cacheit was worth the 10 shillings plus two shillings and six pence.
We were out and about with SkippingGirl11 and found this cache on the way to an Earthcache we had targeted. We went along the cliff-top track to take in the view while a gaggle of muggles wandered past.We ducked off the track once the coast was clear and quickly found the cache. The cache is in excellent condition.Thank you, gmj3191, for this Traditional cache.
An easy find as the cache was quite exposed when we turned up - anyone approaching from the other direction would have been able to see it from quite some way away, so we attempted to give it a bit of cover. TFTC!
This was fun. Had to park on side street and then just follow the direction. Easy to find and beautiful spot on this beautiful day.
A perfect Friday afternoon to wander these seaside paths. Found the cache and signed the logbook. Decided to visit here today after delivering two of my artworks to an exhibition in Mentone that I'm part of next weekend.I get a lot of inspiration from geocaching and often my artwork is based on places I discover through caching.
Found around 1:30am after an afterparty with ClaudeRestainsYourCarseatWithScotch. Nice easy find. TFTC
good find enjoyed a nice walk to the yacht club and the pier also stopped into the gin dispensary for a cold beverage nice find
Out early together over this side of town to deliver one of Rick's bike parts for repair, so thought we'd do the nearby Earthcache and this one. A quick find and great to see it's not causing erosion as you can access from the path. Thanks.
Not a nuisance at all. In marvellous Melbs and on a multi mission to attend an event, cact up with GEO-buddies and find a few caches whilst in the hood of course! Cache located and logbook signed. TFTC and the FUN.
Really like your hints and that your caches dont involve trampling of precious coastal flora. After reading about the nuisance Act, how much money would be made today if this act was still in force! Today there were a gazillion cyclists riding the footpaths and roads and everywhere really - love it!Tftc gmj3191 - it was lovely to meet you today at Julies cacheaversaryRegardskbucky
"Conduit of Nonsense"Thats what I had been dubbed as recently upon Brain and my recent geocaching runs... so finding an inspector of nuisances is quite apt. After completing the Earthcache below I made my way up hear to turn this frown into a smile. And after a quick amount of toing and frow-ing the cache was soon in hand and we were off. Thanks again for the cache and bringing me back into the area once again.
A very interesting read! I'm certainly grateful they decided to embrace cycling on the path since I've used it many times over the years! TFTC
Very very fun. Found it quite easily. Lovely walk and view If you turn and face the sea
Walking between earth caches on international earth cache day and it would be silly to ignore other caches along the way even though I only found a few of them. I was certain I had seen another cacher along the trails who was known to me, although once I found this cache I wondered why their name wasn't in the log book until I realised they'd probably found these long ago. This was found pretty quickly, nicely tucked away. Signed the log whilst keeping my eyes peeled in either direction for muggles. As soon as I'd replaced the cache and continued on my way, muggles appeared. Good timing. Thanks to the cache owner for this one.
Chook travelled down from Beaufort to Melbourne for the weekend, with the aim of caching with her son LazyAde and finding a few more Cache of the Year nominees and TDOC23 caches along the way. This cache was nearby to the TDOC Earthcache, so was a nice easy find while walking in the area. Loved the story of the Inspector of Nuisances - what a funny "title" but the responsibilities were not a lot different to our current Rangers out here in the country. It could also be a role description for a geocaching reviewer - but without the fines of course (LOL). Anyway TFTC and description gmj3191
This was an impromptu random cache stop while I was in the area. Cache found, log signed.
Found with icw. The CO includes an interesting report on activities of the inspector of nuisances in the 19th century, particularly riding bicycles on the footpath. This upright representative of the municipality was applying local by-laws, which have been with us for a long time. The original Middle English word 'birlaw' meant special laws of the village and was derived from a much older Old Norse word. Tftc.
U was able to turn my DNF of 2014 to a smiley today. Great cache container!
Thanks for the cache gmj3191

After my biggest month caching in April, I realised that the month of May was almost over and I had done much caching at all. As such, I thought I should go out and find a few more geocaches on the last day of May. I selected this Beaumaris area again for my dusk-ish adventure. Pleased to have no DNFs.
Fortunately the few people who past me while I was at this GZ were all noisy enough that I was able to be 'taking photos of the water' while they past me.
Thanks for the cache GMJ 3191

With echidna44. Took the steep way down then had to retrace our steps all the way back up Once at gz we made a quick find to end our day.
A beautiful sunny day, perfect for caching in the Beaumaris area with pinnacle333.
Tired, at the end of the day, we took a steep walk before realising our mistake. Once corrected, it was a quick find of a well hidden cache. Thanks gmj3191.

Found it! At the end of our Walkabouters walk today, I went searching for a few caches. This was one of them. A quick find next to the track. TFTC SL. Also thanks for sharing some history of the area!
Frankie, Floyd, pearl, arabella, Katie, smitho. Found it. Thanks! Good one. Smitho legend.
We where in the area for a funeral related thing and had some spare time so decided to do a catch this one was easy because t
If the clue but it was still fun to find

Continued our little walk along this path, just to see what was around. This area is very popular with hikers and picnic-ers, so watch out for muggles! Anyway, pretty easy find, cache was in very good condition. We picked up a cheeky little TB that was residing in there. Also spotted Elvis the Fire Fighting Helicopter roaring overhead, see attached photo.
As a walker, I've nearly been knocked over several times by cyclists who don't seem to give a second thought to other users. I don't think fines are necessary, but bike registration should be considered for anyone over 15. This cache was found fairly easily, thanks to the hint. I stopped here to sign the log and place a trackable in the good-sized cache. Thanks for adding this to my daily walk.
Walked straight past this one countless times before starting our geocache adventures!!
