Sadly it is time to retire this cache. The hide has been compromised - by muggles and prickly vines combined. It is a wonderful location that we love to visit. I hope to see someone else posing a cache hereabouts soon!

10-Aug-19
Frustratingly I had to concede defeat. I followed all the tips and approached the tree from every conceivable angle but just didn’t see the cache . Maybe it was staring me in the face. The kids were patient for quite a while and enjoyed playing in the creek bed. Off home now to lick my prickle wounds and my pride

12-Jun-19
Thanks to previous guidance we found this quite easily. The lid is broken, needs maintenance. Swapped out a little princess token and a ladybug and left a sheep and a gold coin. Climbing required!

12-May-19
Watch those vines! Log book still dry but holes in the plastic bag so won't last long with a broken lid!

18-Apr-19
Cache find no. 75! Took us a little while because the GPS was bouncing around a bit taking us to different trees. We finally found the right tree and after walking through the thorny bushes and climbing down the embankment it was just sitting the in plain sight. (WARNING: there are nails on the back of the container!) tftc!

18-Apr-19
Container is cracked on the lid.

18-Apr-19
This geocacher reported that the container is damaged.

13-Apr-19
Take care with lots of pickles in surrounding bushes

03-Feb-19
Found it the cache needs some attention as the lid is broken
Also be careful as the embankment gave way under me so ended up going for trip to the bottom of the embankment

27-Jan-19
Luckily creek bed is very dry at the moment, approached from the back, wear protective equipment if you can(long pants/sleeves), easy to spot hard to get to -sent Geohubby in for the find. TFTC

09-Jan-19
Took some stars because I earnt them on this one. Left behind a piece of myself for the next princess who wants to save herself from this castle covered in thorns. Fairytale cache ty.

06-Jan-19
Ouch!! Recommend long pants for this one.

07-Nov-18
Is it in this overgrown thing?

08-Sep-18
An interesting route to gz as indicated by previous logs. Want sure that the root system would hold my weight but it did. Signed log and returned. Tftc.

Thursday. The SPs were out around the Pullenvale area today. We followed our arrows along this really pretty trail in this bit of green land and passed a couple with a couple of dogs as we continued along the path to GZ. We came across one tree and thought, hmmm….not in here. Then we read some of the previous logs and jumped down into the creekbed which didn’t have much water in it and went to the tree only a few metres away. We thought we could see a way through the bougainvillea and made our way up closer and closer to the cache. I managed to only get caught on the spiky plant which seemed to encompass this cache. I would agree with a previous log that a T3 would be closer to the mark Razz Log signed and cache replaced. Lid still cracked and open but log is dry.

This was the 2nd of 22 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***5Meerkats***, for showing us this place. Smile

21-Jul-18
So many thorns! I was very glad I went for the jeans this morning and not my usual shorts. The lid has a big crack in it, but the log was nice and dry. TFTC!

15-Jul-18
Found on a delightful afternoon walk with the family, though it was well earned. Got punctured by smilax or something similar several times. Watch your footing; bit of a scramble ! Difficulty closer to 3.0, methinks. Totally worth it as we found a delightful little trackable who will be joining us for a trip to Sydney tomorrow. TFTC!

02-Jul-18
Nice cache hard to get though.

In a nasty place surrounded by thorny
Vines akin to those from Jumanji! ARF was brave. Liberated the TB!

15-Apr-18
Doing an autumn run out west with Gcoven to collect more of the solved pick 'n' hammer GeoArt series. With these puzzles locked away, had some time to collect a few on the way home. This trail looked interesting on the map so a stop by was always going to happen.

Good to stretch the legs after a number of earlier drive bys. At GZ spotted the container around the corner. How the hell . . . Wanting to stay dry and blood free, took my time clambering around the end. Best to watch the thorns!!! Thanks for the cache 5Meerkats.

02-Apr-18
TFTC! Highly recommend bringing some mozzie spray!

20-Mar-18
Tftc. It‘s not easy to grab it as there are lots of branches with thorns in front of it. Don‘t fall into the water

10/5/17, 11:20 am Find #800
Number 800!! Out with Totalube and NyssaFlutterby in the drizzling rain today and it was time. Time to make my 800th find, so as we arrived at GZ NyssaFlutterby and totalube stopped and chatted and I went on my search. First the gps took me that side of the path, due to the bad cloud cover, but soon I realised I needed to be over the other side, and I spied the cache almost immediately at this stage.
Signed my name in the logbook and went to replace until NyssaFlutterby mentioned that she hadn't actually done this cache yet either, so I handed the log over for her to make her mark as well.
Thanks for the cache 5Meerkats.

27-Dec-16
I was in the area today spending some of the Christmas break with relatives and as I had an hour or so to spare, I thought that I should grab a couple of caches as they were nearby.

Enjoyed the lovely walk up the creek and from that angle the cache was easy to spot.

The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found.

All is good with this cache.

Find #813

I am running out of handy finds close to home so find myself travelling to surrounding suburbs to get my fix.
I found this peaceful spot today and decided this area was my target for the day.
I'm sure there are plenty of Brisbanites, cachers or not, that don't know this area exists.
Geo-sense was all that was needed to find this cache.
Quickly signed my name and replaced as found. Tftc

03-Jul-16

11-Jun-16
This was the third cache we found as part of our cadet leaders conference workshop on geocaching. We had about 20 people attend to find out more about the game and the cadet badge, that cadet boys can earn. We took the group up this trail to find some physical caches and get a good idea of the real adventure hunt. Thanks for the cache today! Lovey trail and good caches.

04-Aug-15
I found a good parking spot up on the main road and set off following the path. Soon enough I was on the trail enjoying the walk and it is most definitely A Beautiful Trail.

I was close to GZ and started for a little look, a check of one item turned up nothing, a look back to the GPSr and oh not quite close enough, soon enough cache in hand and my name added to the log. The bag is torn and unfortunately I did not have a spare on me.

This was my second attempt at this one and was happy to finally find it. I can see now why I missed it last time. I didn't get to sign the log as I was hesitant to reach around to it, especially as I was with three little ones, but we did spot it from safer ground on the other side. TFTC and nice, easy walk for the little ones

20-Dec-14
On my way to what I consider to be a great morning out. A bit of a tour on the geocycle in the forest along some nice fire trails and a bit of a blast along some nice single tracks. Lumps, bumps, jumps, berms and corners. Cool

With a minor mile stone approaching I needed to find some in the geomobile before I set off on the bike.

A short walk to this one, but not worth the effort of get the cycle of the car. A quick scout around GZ soon found the cache Smile

As I was walking back I ran into some biker friends who were very confused about the bike being on the car and it being so far away. They were quite shocked that I had walked so far. Wink

I have driven past this street countless times in years gone by without ever bothering to contemplate where it might lead. Such a lovely name for a cache that I decided it would be an way grab just before the sun set. I headed down the obvious track but as my GPS was telling me I was getting further away from my target I decided to follow what looked like it might be a smaller track that was going I. The right direction. Not such a beautiful trail, it quickly disappeared to no trail and I found myself at a wire strand that appeared to be a fence line. At that moment, a large dog acknowledged my presence with a loud bark. Thankfully, he seemed to understand that the thin piece of wire was to stop him from crossing over the boundary in order to eat me. A bit of cross country and a scramble down a bank and I was finally on the "beautiful trail". I had downloaded the paid version of the geocaching app yesterday as I had acquired a new phone. It navigates differently to the free version and I ended up passing the geocache and needing to double back. I eventually spotted what I assumed to be gz according to the hint and was poking around with a stick (to avoid grabbing a spider instead of a cache) when a dog comes up behind me and startles me. The muggle owner out for a walk was apologetic and didn't seem concerned that I was in the bush on dusk poking a tree with a stick. Once he was gone I signed the cache and headed back along the track. Still haven't found my way back so I hope I rediscover civilisation before the cold sets in. Not quite the easy grab I had anticipated but an adventure nonetheless. Smile

20-Jul-14
Very scenic.

13-Jul-14
Went out on a stroll with Grandad and most of Linguafile yesterday. This was a convenient trail to take after a big lunch at the Brookfield General Store.

The TB proved just too tempting so we picked it up and will move it along soon.

11-Jul-14
Nice walk, left trackable

24-May-14
Lovely walk. Thanks for showing us our own area.

17-May-14
I was out and about today grabbing some caches around the Kenmore and Brookfield area. Unfortunately I did not count on the Brookfield Show being on today. After taking a slight detour to avoid some closed off roads I managed to find a parking spot well away from the parking chaos just down the road. A pleasant stroll along the path and I was soon at GZ where I knew I was in the right place having found a small pen on the ground. A quick adjustment to my viewpoint and the cache was revealed. Signed the log and replaced it in the pen in the cache. A nice spot. Tftc

11-May-14
A beautiful walk along the creek. Will go back just for the walk! Thank you for hiding a little treasure.

26-Apr-14
Lovely view of the water, don't get wet

26-Apr-14

26-Apr-14
That’s one more find for me! Thanks so much for hiding this geocache.

21-Apr-14
I saw it from the opposite side of its hiding place. The lid was off the container, which made it easier to spot. We replaced the lid after signing the log.

15-Apr-14
Good find, just got to
