#24519. Given the FP count for this cache, it was a must-find cache for our visit (and turned out to be the last find for our stay in Moonta). We drove to the shaft an a new-ish looking road, and made a quick find once there. Really nicely done. TFTC.
A nice cache to finish the days caching. When we saw GZ, we had an inkling about how the cache would be hidden and we were right. Nicely done, and I liked the bell. Now time to head back to our accommodation and dinner. TFTC.
We are on a caravanning trip around Australia and are visiting Moonta to check out the sites and grab a few caches. After doing the railway ride we jumped on the bikes abd headed over here. This is a very cool cache so are giving it a fav pointThanks for the cache
A fun day of adventure with Aussie Sparkie! Thanks to the cache owners for placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment!
This a new account but I found this cache with my mum (EmsDan1315) and my brother (maggies123) on 31-3-2024. TFTC.
We found the geocashe and by that I mean mostly my nana. She likes to call them neoplasims. It was hard to get open but we did get it open and that was our first ever geocache !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Checked in on this today and cache is in as good condition as the day I placed it. It does need a new log so will make one up and replace it next time I am passing by but still plenty of room for now.
TFTC Dazzatron your cache Taylor's Shaft that we found today. Day 2 in Moonta. We tackled the many caches in and around the Mine Heritage area and other caches as we passed by. 21 for the time invested was a good few hours well spent. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining caches so we can explore these locations.Clue had us going for a bit and there the penny dropped. Plenty of TOTT on the ground to assist access.Find Count: 17804
Ive seen this type of hide at a number of places now; I wonder who did it first. Particularly well executed here, and the accurate coordinates take you straight to the right point. I was menaced by a woman walking her dog nearby, but only after the cache was safely back in place. Thanks for the hide Dazzatron.
Found with LittleLeah79 while in Moonta for the day.

Found with Beaker, TFTC! This is absolutely awesome! Thank you. This is a favourite but I've ran out favourites!
Weekend away to Moonta with Pony1966. Wedged off the lid with TOTT nearby. Book has heaps of space (most backs are empty)

last person said it was stuck so we loosed it up hopefully you won’t need tools anymore xx

I sort of found it. I know exactly where it is, but I couldn't prise it open. It's firmly jammed down and the next finder will likely need a tool box or something! I did make an effort with some local TOTT but I didn't want to leave any marks and make the hide too obvious. Disappointed because I really like these kinds of caches! But there's always next time

Interesting walk around abandoned shafts - clearly there has been progress working with
Absolutely amazing find! Love the style and clues. A favorite for us. Thanks for the hide.
This Easter we are camping at moonta bay. Today included playing around at the caravan park then going for a swim and then playing at splash town. After we went out and found 3 caches. This was one of them.

Came here with sister and her family. Not getting too many caches at the moment as going to hit it hard soon for a couple of weeks
Awesome! Big effort from the maker. Thank you
I came to check out Taylor’s shaft (the newer one) as my great, great grandfather, William Barnes, and his brother, Victor Barnes, both died in Taylor’s shaft in separate accidents within the same year. Thought I’d check for geocaches on the way. Was not disappointed!

After finding the cache I spent a couple of minutes looking at the interpretive signs around Taylor's Shaft.
Thanks for the cache Dazzatron.

Awesome. Find. Tried last year and gave up getting confused on the clue. Don't overthink it.
What a ripper! How have I not been here before. Favourite point from me. Took forever to get to the log book though. PLEASE REPLACE GENTLY. Not need to add lots of force. Think of the next person.
Thank you for placing this for us to find. Thank you for contributing to the geo map and maintaining when required. TFTC

Ingenious!! I forgot a pen so couldn’t sign the log. Photo for evidence I was here. TFTC
Had to bring the family due to the favourites. Very much worth it. Fascinating place and great hide. TfTC!

Tried the hide but not hard enough. Tried a few other spots then came back and gave it a better try. Nicely done!
After setting our vans up in the caravan park with iluvtrekking we headed out to grab some nearby caches. If the 8 weeks we have been in SA, today is the first day we’ve actually felt warmth from the sun ??. Found it without the hint. Thanks Dazzatron
Brilliant hide. As others have said, it was a little tight to unwind, but got there in the end. Amazing creation. TFTC
Such a smart hide, took us a while but when we found it we were thrilled. Amazing job
gridge98's 10,000th find from a few years ago so he bought us here, nice idea
On the coppercoast today with nettieknows and gridge98 to explore the area and find a few caches in the process.

Today we attempted to complete the caches around Moonta we hadn’t already found.
This was an easy find with the helpful hint.
Many thanks for the hide Dazzatron

We had looked for this one a while ago while in the area but no luck. Coming back today I wanted redemption! So I read the hint and knew what word I was looking for. So heading toward this GZ. Is it this one? No....is it this one? Yes! Goodness me that's clever! Even hubby enjoyed the find. Log signed and replaced as found. Then it was a bit of a wander to view the old buildings and relics again (hubby loves this stuff so we walk around the old mine areas each time we are through Moonta). Plus we have to visit the bees residing in one of the near by buildings. Then we heading to lunch at the pub and to the bakery for a sweet treat. TFTC! *fav point added*
