Found this one with banj5150, darksidedan, barefootjeff and team737 early in the morning. Cache is in some desperate need of tlc
Found today with a group of cachers however this cache is so badly in need of repair as its full of water and the logbook is unsignable
The container is without a lid, and is full of dirty water. It wasn't actually even obvious it was a cache until the sodden logbook was found under the muck. This one needs to be replaced or removed and archived. Thanks for hiding it, but it needs some care now.

After the Shelly Beach Walk event nearby we found ourselves up the beach and rather close to this cache, so in we went. We found some trails amongst the dune bushes and before long DARKSIDEDAN spotted the cache. Unfortunately as others have found, the cache is in a sorry state - the container is without a lid, and is full of dirty water. It wasn't actually even obvious it was a cache until the sodden logbook was found under the muck. This one needs to be replaced or removed and archived. Looking for a cache and a walk the geo pup could also go on we settled on this one. Plenty of other dogs to meet on the way including a Pug. It was soon time to turn off and then through the trails in the vegetation to the cache. The cache is a mess and the log soaked. The added our mark as best we could but some attention is really required. TFTC.
We have travelled up from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to the Central Coast, staying for a couple of nights in a park cabin at the Blue Lagoon Beach Resort (Caravan Park) in Bateau Bay, for a short weekend getaway & caching holiday. Our primary caching target areas will be along the coastal strip from The Entrance to Terrigal, Erina, and Gosford. This was the 6th of 6 finds for the day, and the 6th of 30 finds for the weekend.
After finding the cache that's right next door to our accommodation at the Blue Lagoon Beach Resort (Caravan Park) we continued walking along the beach until we reached this one, our last cache for the day. Clambered up the sand dunes, and then down into the thick green vegetation to GZ, where the cache was soon found.
Unfortunately the container is in bad shape, with the lid broken and allowing the container to fill with rain water. The log was a sodden mess inside of it's "protective" plastic bag, and was totally unsignable, so we took a photo instead. Cache container, or what's left of it, was then replaced as it had been found (but with the rain water emptied out). TFTC bananaconcoction.

Find #3753
Found it, with Perilla34 and minions. Container is still intact, but the lid is destroyed by UV. Added in a toy cowboy, to keep the balls company...
Wear long pants, and keep left, are my only tips.

Found after a quick hunt around. Cache needs replacing. Box is missing the lid and log is soaked.
Thanks for the find took the kids and a family member from overseas container will need replacing soon no longer water proof

Came in down hill. Went back flat. Container broken and log book wet. Managed to sign with our water proof pen.

Found it!! Well hidden. Gunna need maintenance immediately. The whole lid has cracked from too long in the sun. Placed it upside down to hopefully keep out weather. Fun walk in
We were on a drive to explore some of the areas north of Sydney, and also to escape the heat out in the Hills. A little trip to the seaside is usually a good way to cool off a bit.
By the time we actually got to the beach it was the worst time of day to be on a beach, around midday. I prefer early mornings or late afternoons, if I have to go out into the sun and there isn't shade. But such was our dismal planning today, and my little son was insisting he wanted to go to the beach.
We first fortified ourselves at the nearby restaurant: very nice selection of meals at reasonable prices, and with a view down to the beach, lots of shade and a gentle breeze to cool us on the veranda, is was a great lunch.
After lunch the others decided to head for the water and I made the choice to try and track down this cache. I think I made a good approach along the beach before heading up into the dunes, following some other footprints and the compass on the GPSr. I even saw a really great spot that I thought would be the hiding place, but then also noticed that there was a bit of litter around. Too many muggles, methinks! Besides, the compass was pointing to the other side of the impenetrable bush, so I had to find a way around. That I did without too much trouble -- just go slowly or the bushes will scratch you.
Once on the other side of the bush I had another look, and felt more hopeful because the GPSr was saying 3 metres. Then I spotted it: quick grab, cache in hand.
All is good with the cache. I think the lid has taken a bit of a UV beating over the years, but is still intact. It just feels like it's getting a tad brittle. Anyway, log signed, all put back where I had found it, and then another delicate push through the plants to get back onto the dune. All the while, the golfing muggles could be heard up on the other side of the hill, so keep low and out of sight.

Having spent many holidays on the central coast, a cache at shelly beach sounded ideal. We hadn't read the description and thought we were close when we parked.... nope, in the middle of the beach....
We ventured into the scrub and took a while to locate the area. I too got a bit scratched ftom scrub bash but located the cache after a while searching. It was quite well hidden. Found the seal as well so refitted it to the cache.
Found the trackable too - a tardis cache. Very appropriate after just having done a doc-who cache!

We were in the area having lunch at the nearby club with friends, so decided to have a look for this afterwards. Didn't expect a find reading the previous posts and pictures, but upon finding what others had found I lingered a little longer and found the cache container only 3m from where the arrow was pointing! Awesome. Thankfully, unlike others I didn't get scratched and bloodied attempting a find. TFTC
Didn't find it today but found the seal to the container. Had to leave due to rain. Will have to go back and try again.
Couldn’t find it, but I found what seemed to be some of the log and possibly the seal for the container??
Found with the surf crashing in our ears and the sand covering our feet. Coords were very good. It needed a little bush bashing to locate cache. Left tb from Germany. Tftc
Took me a while to find this one. First took the wrong track in, then amended my location and then started the scramble through the shrubs. Found after about 10mins searching. My gps was ranging between 1m-10metres North of posted coordinates. Nice size container. No TB’s today TFTCSL

Today we drove up to Central Coast, this time to Shelly Beach. With nice sunny weather it was a nice stroll along the beach, off leash for dogs! Once close to GZ I disappeared over the dunes and into the shrubs. It took me 20 minutes with a flaky GPS to find the good sized cache.

Disappointing DNF. Searched posted coordinates as well as 16m north of them as suggested. Not going to risk any more cuts and scrapes. Have approached from all four cardinals. No luck.
Back in Feb/16, I had a DNF. Today reading previous log I changed direction, finding the container at 16m North from the posted coords. Could be less, but definitely not at posted ones.

cache was found 8 metres north of posted co ordinates, In a clearing out in the open. I left it as found because I lost that much blood looking, I doubt many muggles would come looking here. Thanks for the cache bananaconcoction tnln sl
Milestone accomplished-100 geocaches!
This was a good geocache to stop for while we went for a walk along this beach, having a good time throwing sticks for the geodog. We spent a lot of time crawling through the bushes before I got to it. Strangely, the swaps were all golf balls, but we did not bring along any swaps so we could not do anything about it.
A favourite for this cache. Have a merry Christmas!

Found with Jojomobile and The Moose. Clever spot, hidden from Muggles on either side
8.30am. Nice day for a walk on the beach. Got to GZ and searched for a while before finding it. No need to trample the vegetation as there is room to walk.
Left a TB.
Thank you. David.

Had to come from a few different directions trying very hard to minimise damage, before ending up at GZ
Found It! TNLS SL. Such a nice beach - previous logs were a big help found cache 10m away using iphone. Also found decoy plastic spade and yellow block which kept the kids busy digging fruitlessly Muhahaha love it!
Not found on a day to Gosford and back. Trying to get my way to 2000 finds I set out for a day of easy caches. Seems I am not used to this sort of caching anymore, as I am more at home on high D or T ratings. Or maybe I cache better with others then on my own now. Anyway with a success rate lower then fifty percent, I felt quite defeated at the end of the day.
This was my eighteenth and final stop. After a short run of finds, of cause I had to end with a DNF. Parked as recommended and ran most of the way there as I had somewhere to be. Had a good look at GZ, coming in from all different directions and looking everywhere. No luck for me though.

Did not find because we tried to access from golf course instead of beach. Will come back soon to have another look though. (From the right place obviously)
Talking about bush bashing, could hear what sounded like a nearby family. Not sure if they were looking too. Thanks, the coordinates were pretty close on my iPhone. First time to this location, on a trip to Cairns from Geelong. TFTC
Coordinates not accurate. Plants getting trampled all over the place. Hint or coords NEED to be better
*Walked through the sand (beautiful beach, by the way!) and arrived at GZ. Reading previous logs I expanded my search. Then I decided to look the spoiler pictures, still nothing on similar spots. All I found was some golf balls, a little plastic shovel, a yellow piece of timber, some cans and some brown glass bottles (I should have brought with me, but I didn’t have any bag). I decided to stop walking around in order not to ruin the vegetation. I tried to be very careful with the bush, agreeing with CO, but I also agree with the previous opinions about the damage, especially if the coordinates are not accurate (not CO’s fault, sometimes happens in some positions). That makes geocachers to step all over. I noticed, the GPS jumps a lot. In saying that I suggest to CO to make a more directional hint, because there are shrubs everywhere. That could minimise or null the damage. Thanks anyway for the hiding bananaconcoction *
Going for walk along beach with Trodectus, so put this on our list. Arrived at GZ and searched as best as able but no cache so expanded search area. T located cache about 10 metres from GZ so we were happy and relived. TFTC
Found with Coybear2000. We arrived at GZ and started searching, fruitlessly at first. So after reading some previous logs, we expanded our search area. After some time we located the cache, about 10+m away. TFTC
Perhaps not my brightest idea walking down the beach in jeans and a collared shirt on a thirty degree morning right before a business meeting! Not to mention the tromping in and around the bushes! Still, the relentless quest for a clean map makes you do weird things.
I like others before me have some concerns about the placement here. A more obvious hide would lead to far less of a geotrail, and my device had GZ out by 9m which didn't help! Worth considering. TFTC

Having a mini break at Toowoon Bay this weekend gave me the perfect opportunity to seek out this cache that I've long looked at figuring we would come to this beach sooner or later. So today I dragged the muggle campers away from the beer for a short time (ok, we brought one for the road) and wandered down the beach.... Headed over the dunes and was surprised to find the cache in thick dune vegetation - this area is an essential element of our beaches, and I was really disappointed to find the cache right in the thick of it - it took quite some time to find a relatively clear path along the sand to GZ, although it was evident many others before could have cared less about thw vegetation. thanks for the smiley.
Tried to get this one a few months back from the golf course but couldn't find a way through. So a beach walk it had to be ... and a very pleasant one on a day like today. Probably shouldn't have made the find though, as the area is now off limits to allow revegetation to occur ... it's not 'fenced off' near GZ but there are plenty of signs saying keep out.
Irks me that someone would report this to moderators regarding damage to the dune. In my 21 years living in Shelly Beach I have never seen the dunes in a more healthy and green state. The tracks running through the shrubs are from tracks made by local dogs which are allowed in the area off leash.
I will however acknowledge that damage can be done by geocachers who are not weary of their footing so please take care when accessing this cache as for the time being it will remain in situ.
Happy caching.

Relatively quick find, we're headed Home now, we had 2 datys of caching up this way and now started to log today's findings , this been one of quite a few found today. It's been nice to cache in a different locations and it's given us a mini break. Thanks to all the CO for placing these caches for our enjoyment.

Nice took some bush bashing in the wrong spot for a while but we found it and signed the new log book great spot thanks for the cache !
“I now have my own account and I am logging this old find under my new username.”
This cache has been moved since it was first placed. However I have updated the coords to the present location.
I will be placing in a new notebook in the next week or so. In the mean time, perhaps bring a piece of paper?
On our way there, Geobro got stung by a bluebottle, and so did our dog! Forgetting about the cache, we ran towards the nearby Surf club to fix them up. We walked back to our accommodation via the road.
Determined to find the cache, we woke up early the next morning, ready for our second attempt...
This time, we made it to the cache safely, and began to search. The clue didn't seem to make sense, as the trees were sending the GPS all over the place. After a few GPS recalibrations, we worked out that the listed co-ordinates were wrong. After a good ten minutes of searching, Geobro and I had given up but our parents persevered. 'Found it!' yelled my dad, who had fond the cache about ten metres away from the co-ordinates.

It was quite the adventure finding this cache. As we were staying at the nearby caravan park there was no way I was going home without finding this one. We headed out the previous day for a walk on the beach but as we were so busy watching our step to not get caught up in the blue bottles, we overshot the GZ and ended up at the surf club, but not before one human and one dog got stung by blue bottles! Well that was it for the day, no way we could go back via the cache with two of the team hobbling.
The next morning we headed out again now that the stinging had subsided and we cache focused. Got to the GZ but couldn't find anything where the needle was pointing us. Then aubeasty looked a little further north and came out with the cache and a bunch of golf balls. This time we headed back with no further incidents. Signed log and visited TBs.

I didn't want to get stuck in the bushes to I slid down the sand dunes while aubeasty and ziggiau did the serious cache finding. Left a seal eraser.
Scrambled around in the bushes for far longer than we probably needed too. Coords seemed to be a bit off so I looked further afield. Amongst the golf balls I also found the cache! Signed log and headed back to camp.
Geodog and I made sure to avoid the graveyard of bluebottles today on our way to the cache. A pleasant walk but a tricky hunt at GZ.
Gotta love these sand hills when your legs are weary after a long days caching... There was a log in the cache, although it needs replacing.
We had a lovely walk along the beach and could find it pretty quick.

After visiting today and then reading past founds saying there is no log book,I feel this cache may require maintenance
This area has been pretty badly damaged by the recent storms,I think the cache may be gone
Found it with jacinta v. Along with six golf balls on the way. Had to find this one. I bled to find this one. Now to find our way out again
Walked along the beach and managed to find the geocache after a bit of exploring. Thanks!
Walked up the beach from Munchas in the rain, dodging the waves. Escaped up to the golf course to return for brekky. Not the best route.
Cache was dry but exposed, needs painting again or some other camo, wasn't much there to put on top of it.
Thanks.
