Out grabbing some archive caches from the list.
Headed along this road rather nervously.
Kept my eyes out for suspicious characters.
There was a few cars parked along the road.
Maybe they are waiting for escapees.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks frecklspatrol Cool All good with this archived cache

Out and about today to locate solved puzzles and also some archived caches. The cache guardians were happy to let us at the cache. . Wow 16 months since this cache was last found. The cache and log sheet all good. TFTC

I was in the area and this one came up on the GPS as I always have it loaded with archived caches which are still available and I pulled up on the side of the road nearby. Council workers were further down the road and I kept an eye on them to make sure that there were not coming closer while I jumped out and retrieved the cache. I can't say that I felt at ease searching around this area and I was glad to get back in the car and beat a hasty retreat.

The cache is safe and well.

I was scouting out the area for spots to place a couple of new caches on the bike today, and I was instinctively drawn to this location. Though I didn't want to place anything here myself, I took a look around and happened across this nano. Huh. I knew there were a couple of other caches along this road at one point during the last few years, though were all archived for various reasons. Using the names on the log (which is still in perfect condition), I was able to determine which cache this was exactly. Best thing is this is still far enough away for me to create to new caches.

So yeah, this cache is still available to anyone who wants to search for it.

As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Disabled since 4/1/13
No action from CO.

Any update on this one? Given the proximity to the prison, perhaps it should be put to rest?

Nice easy find. Had to look out for kangaroos on the way! TFTC!

We gave this one a go today, as we didn't realise it was disabled. Sure enough we didn't spot it, although the area was crawling with Police cars (unmarked) today. Given this one is quite literally next to prison grounds, not sure if it is maybe be better suited to the park down the road a little further as to avoid a potentially bad experience for a finder.

I had a little time to kill before heading into the CBD for a pre christmas gathering. Yep, it's that time of year again... Surprised So, what better way to chew the time away that with a wee hunt of two... [^]

I have never actually been down this side of the prison so it was a different perspective on things. THere was no-one out in the grounds though and you would almost think the place was deserted. I arrived at GZ and located the container nice and quickly. Back to the Gunniemobile for business, before tucking it back in place and heading off. Wasn't hanging around on a hot day...

Cheers frecklespatrol.

This afternoon was such perfect conditions for caching. Mild weather, slight breeze, plenty of shade. I was in love with the world. Drove down the road to this one slowly, enjoying the area. Two munchkins in the back loved the kangaroos and bush turkeys, and daddy's jokes on the way.

I took the advice and left the kids in the car. A quick grab and back to the car to show the littlies. They practiced thier listening trying to hear the remote control planes in the distance. In doing so, they heard all sorts of things; unusual bird calls, frogs in the nearby reeds, daddy's farting noises. A great time was had by all.

Sometimes a favourite point is demanded not for anything in particular, but just the vibe of the thing. And the vibe of this one this afternoon was just perfect. Thanks frecklespatrol for a great afternoon experience!

Needing a cache for this calendar day, we were pleased to make our way over after dark. Despite the obvious warnings about kangaroos, I didn't think much about them until suddenly spotting them bounding along beside us. After that, I slowed right down.
Under cover of darkness, we missed the cache on the first pass, but it then came to light after a more thorough search. I guess you miss some of the spectacle of the area at night, but that's OK because we've been here before and will be here again no doubt. TFTC again, frecklespatrol.

With a couple of hours to kill today while the rest of the Geo sapiens were at a birthday party geo dad set off to find a few caches.

This one was on the way to a couple of others in the area close by.

With no sign of escapees, kangaroos or the local law enforcement to disturb a quick search soon revealed the cache tucked away.

With the log quickly signed it was placed back in position.

The log is in mint condition as is the cache.

This area is a nice distraction from the surrounding more developed areas. If you want to see a kangaroo come here instead if a zoo. The cache was an easy find too. TFTC

All quiet at GZ this morning and initially missed the little sucker as I was looking out for the large wasp nest mentioned previously. No sign of it so it looks like someone has removed it which is a bit sad. Nature should always have right of way. Anyway, realising this I went back over the area and there it was. Thanks frecklespatrol

I decided to leave early for and event cache and grab a few caches on the way. This was my first stop and as I rolled into the area I noted the huge amount of prison property around and I hoped the cache was beyond their general area. It was not. i parked on the side of the road and felt all kinds of dodgy walking the last little bit to the cache and poking around for it. I found it easily though and as I was replacing, could hear a work team of inmates moving down the hill. Hmm.. time to get well out of here. I was already surprised someone security-like hadn't paid me a visit. Secured the smiley though. TFTC frecklespatrol.

Must admit i left the retrieving and replacing to the others as i wasn't playing with the cache guard wasp. Tftc

***JOINT FTF*** JOINT FTF***

Just dropped my parents of home from shopping, then I got that buzzing feeling. Yep Ministro was at it again.
Wow a local one, with a quick call to Will.I.am.elia&co and An Old Hag and the race started, who will beat who??

Arrived at GZ yep just beat them, got out the car after a bit of a search we had another car arrive ooops who could this be???
Oh no we are in trouble, A very dark and handsome correctional officer was heading our way, after a bit of explaining from us girls
Geohubby had the cache in his hand, we showed the lovely officer what we were searching for then he left us to continue our mission.

Geohubby rolled down the log and yeha, we had FTF (shared). We quickly completed the log at 10.08pm and returned it to its original location,
with its own security guards (big wasps nest) be careful they can get angry.

P.s Lots of eyes watching you becareful they don't jump in front of your cars, A Big one was also guarding GZ.

Thanks for the evening race

I had fallen asleep in front of the TV when woken by a phone call about a new release.
I didn't have the GPS plugged in, nor did I have the laptop on - it had gone to sleep as well, so we were given instructions to meet at Wacol Station.
Geopoppy drove as I was really tired, and it wasn't long after arriving at the station when Gem83 turned up and we followed them to GZ.

Geopoppy was really surprised when he shone the torch at GZ as the first thing he noticed was a really huge wasp nest only inches from the cache. Lucky these things sleep at night or else it might have been a rust to the hospital, as there would have been a lot of activity had it been in daylight hours.

Luckily we managed to get the log signed without waking the cache guardians up.
