Vanuatu 2015 Dive trip. On our day off we had a small car to explore and head up to the Blue holes. I arranged a short detour and for once managed a nice simple find outside this nice looking restaurant.

Thanks.

Another stop at Champagne bay during our cruise.

Shortly after our arrival, we hired a taxi and drove to the beautiful south of the island, passing a beautiful landscape. The first cache in Lagoonville was found quickly, the taxi driver will watch the cache in future Wink
Next, we drove to the beach but unfortunately didn’t have time to dive down the wreck of the SS Preside but took a beautiful walk along the beach instead where we were able to make a FTF.

Before going back to the ship, we took a refreshing swim in the Blue Hole, another stunning spot.

Thanks and best greetigs from Germany

Our first time to Luganville on the Island of Espiritu Santo....we arrived on board Rhapsody of the Seas and paid too much for a taxi to take us to Million Dollar Point and to the blue hole near the old airstrip so we asked him to drop us off at 1606 and then pick us up again prior to returning to the ship. The cache was easily spotted, sitting in front of the hint. The log sheet was saturated and so we called on the restaurant owner to assist. She kindly agreed to dry out the log sheet, repair it, add our names and replace it. Without her assistance it would have taken a long time to dry out the log sheet, repair it some how etc. We appreciate her assistance.

Long hot walk from the outdoor market for this one but it was worth it as it was our only option today. Talked to the restaurant owner briefly; unfortunately didn't have time for what looked like a pretty nice place. Wrote the wrong date in the log...11/14. TFTC!

Glad to be able to build an obligatory cache into our trip! Certainly requires more logistics than at home! One boat and one taxi later we had a quick find! Smile TFTC

Cruise around some of the islands in the south pacific on P&O’s Pacific Jewel and looking forwards to our first cache find outside of Australia but a medical emergency on board saw us diverted so the cache we had planned for was now out of reach.
We woke early as we came into our last port of call, Vanuatu and I was pleased to see it was Luganville and not the spot they had marked on the chart that we were docking at. I was even happier to see two caches within running distance of the ship.
We had a tour planned here so it all hinged on how much time we had left. The trip was a new cultural tour around the area where the US had their hospital set up during WW2, very interesting and really worthwhile. Once back at the port we still had time to get at least one cache so off we went. At the first spot they were having a concert in the area where the GPS was taking me to so we decided to go for the second one further out of town. A lovely walk through and out the other side of town had us near GZ so after a sit down and a look around we had a nice quick find Yeah!!! So we went into the establishment to cool down and celebrated with a nice cool beer before making our way back to the ship. Great spot nice friendly people t4tc. sltnl Cicada, Scorpion, Snake & TB

T-Tech and I are on a P&O Cruise visiting Vanuatu, and Luganville is our first port of call. Before we left Brisbane I printed off paper maps and saved all the caches so we were well prepared [^] This morning we only had two hours to grab both the caches here before our shore tours started, so after getting muggled out at the first one, we walked very quickly the extra 1.2kms down to this one. Definitely got very hot and sweaty Twisted Happily it was a quick find, although not in the first place we looked Razz We stopped in at the accommodation site and were able to meet both the owners and have a chat about geocaching Big Grin They seem quite pleased to have the geocache there. Whilst at Santo we raced (well walked rrather quickly up the road from the ship GZ.
I spotted a likely location for the hide and IolantheK ducked down and grabbed the cache [^]
Went and said hello to the cache guardians before heading back to the ship [^]

There has been quite a bit of work done out of the front of the establishment where the cache is located and it has now been replaced and ready to go. Owner and staff happy to say hi to cachers if you come looking.

It seemed obvious where the cache should be but we scouted around and came up empty handed. The owner of our Barrier Beach accommodation said that a new fence had recently been put up right where we were looking so maybe it got moved during the work. Our second DNF on this island Sad
