WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 50 - Bunbury Day 2. The day started on the scooter seeking art locations, some for Labs some for Multis. I made at least one mistake in each multi, but they are sorted now and I will look for them later. I avenged one DNF from yesterday and then went on a car based suburban and industrial caching run till a late lunch. There are some parts of Bunbury that get very busy at times. I sort of fell into a caching run out to Turkey point. A few interesting aches and two trains, more than I have seen for the rest of my trip. With caching done, I headed back to the van for some afternoon catching up on logging.I did not venture into the yard and just stood and read the sign to work out the details required. This multi made good sense to me and I soon had some numbers and headed over to make a quick find. Thanks for the cache dimor47725.15 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2019 Jan Watch Me A#392**Albida**
Gotcha! A lovely big cache (albeit popular with ants) in a nice scenic location. Admired the gardens and saw some cheeky ringnecks looking for dinner. Thanks for the cache!

TaurusSix and I had come out here to find four caches. After one find and three DNFs we were not ready to leave. So on the way out we stopped to look for this cache.
It was dark by now and the mossies were hungry. So I quickly took a photo of the photo and retreated to the car. After we ran the numbers we moved to GZ.
My desire was to be quick and quick it was. It was in the first place I looked.

This was a nice quick and easy find made together with ilook4geo. Both names were soon added to the log and all was put back into place before we moved on. Thanks go to baffle for showing us this old homestead by placing this cache.
Did a short tour of various sites around Bunbury today with goingplaces2. We achieved what we wanted and enjoyed the caches we found. This cache was an easy find and we were soon on our way after signing the log. TFTC.
We were very happy today when we woke up and found that yesterday's terrible weather had moved on and although it was still very windy and quite cool it was looking like a much better day for caching.
With a list of adventure labs, visuals and earth caches for today we headed off to try our luck
As we needed a multi today for a personal challenge we decided to stop and have a go at this one and we are glad that we did. It's quite an interesting location at wpt1 and we enjoyed collecting the information as well as checking out the old structure here. It seems to be all fenced off at the moment for works, we can only hope that they are restoring it. Once we had the required information we wandered off to gz where happily the cache was located in the first place we looked and our name has been added to the log and all returned as found.
Thanks for the cache.

In Bunbury and Collie for WAGB2022! A massive weekend of caching and catching up with friends. A big thank you to all the COs that have placed caches for this weekend, as well as COs maintained by existing listings. You have made this weekend what it is! Apologies for the generic logs. Cheers dimor!
A nice quick multi that brought me to another spot I hadn’t found yet.
It was a perfect long weekend morning to head out and grab a few caches. I needed a few more points to complete the latest souvenir series, so that was my aim for the next hour or two.

We have been puzzling like crazy in preparation so our aim is to find those caches and everything else that takes our fancy. Maybe even a challenge or two. Signed log as Kameingt.
Took the drive to the next big town down the line to gather some smilies for the weekend. Thank you to the cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches.
Decided to make a weekend in and around Bunbury to collect as many caches as possible with Geotrakka. Thanks for the cache.
Hi there dimor.
We found your cache **"D & J at Leschenault Homestead"** today. (This makes our find count 23584).
Following through on our passion of walking around parks, lakes and along walking tracks we decided to attempt some caches in the Eaton-Bunbury area today. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk and the scenery. We found 5 caches today & DNF'd 2.
Thanks for placing this cache here. Over the years, Geocaching has taken us on many adventures and to lots of wonderful destinations all over Australia. Without 'caching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wanderings. 'Caching has also introduced us to a diverse group of like-minded people, many of whom we now call friends. Thanks also for not placing a mint tin or a 200ml Sistema here. It made us feel really good to find this "special" cache here.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thank you dimor for adding to our adventure.
Regards
Ian & Penny

A couple of years ago I was in WA and stayed in Bunbury for a couple of days. It bucketed down! Today I was again in Bunbury for a couple of days and again it bucketed down!
I thought I’d go out and try and find a couple of caches anyway between the showers. Unfortunately there wasn’t a whole lot of ‘between the showers’. I did get a couple of caches though. And a wet .....
This was a nice, straightforward multi in an area that must be very pleasant on a good day.
Thanks baffle for the cache.

The jinta mob has been a bit lacking in cache finds lately so Mrs jinta decided that a weekend away was in order to try and grab a few caches while exploring this area! We camped in Bunbury and headed away nice and early to grab a few caches around town and had an absolute blast collecting caches this weekend. Fave points will be awarded when deserved, thanks for putting this cache out. Cheers and TFTC.

Suscoe was out on our last day of caching in and around the Bunbury area.
Another mild day with some threatening cloud in the morning clearing to a sunny afternoon.
We did some caching and some tourist drive things on a great day out.
Got as far as Donnybrook and admired the apples and pears, now we know where the apples that we buy at home come from.
Then back via the King tree and a few roads inbetween.
Thanks to baffle for this multi.
An enjoyable walk to the homestead.

An interesting bit of history of this nicely restored building.
The cache took a bit longer than it should have as it was under deep cover ad took some prodding to unearth.

This was find # 1 of 2 and 0 today giving us a total cache count of 3416.

I have always been interested in this homestead and decided that my walk with my geodog would include this cache today. Well worth the effort (25 minute drive) to get this multi and find out about the homestead so curiosity satisfied. Geodog also enjoyed the walk.
