Day 10 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc. We arrived in Dunedin yesterday and today we hired bikes to ride the Otago Vine including a ferry ride across the bay.We managed to collect a lot of the puzzles we had prepared for and I think we only had a couple of DNFs. It rained, the sun shone, the wind blew, it was calm - the whole gamut really. Thanks for contributing to the fun Guwapo
Day ten of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris. We have at last arrived in Dunedin. We spent today riding the Otago Vine clockwise, collecting caches as we came across them.Stopped at Port Chalmers for lunch then caught the ferry to Portobello.Mostly a nice day except for a bit of rain just out of Portobello (but we soon dried off). Our first bridge on this trail.Leant over to search and dropped my drink bottle into the water. Fortunately Mr Morris rescued it for me.I found the cache soon after. Thanks, Robmc.
Our second bridge cache for the day. Handy to have already been fishing for the first one as it made this one easier to find. Thanks!
Took more time than expected to find it. Nice hiding place. Thanks for the cache!
On a cyclocache ride from Andersons Bay to Port Chalmers and back. Reasonably easy find. Thanks Guwapo.
At last a lovely afternoon to be out caching. We donned our sun hats and headed off to find this one, after parking at the southern spot close to another cache we found today. It's quite a busy walkway, with cyclists speeding up and down, usually quietly sneaking up on us without so much as a ring on their bell. In fact, Daywalk and hubby cycled past us as we were walking and they were one of the few who actually rang their bells to warn us of their approach. We got to the location and realised where we would have to be to find the cache. Even so, it took us a while to spot, which we eventually did. Nicely done - don't know what the occupants of the cars passing by thought we were up to - but meh! TFTC and for bringing us out along here.
That was a quicker find. Hopefully, the Stags will play better than the All Blacks this morning!
Out for a walk today with a group, we couldn't find this on the way out but it didn't take KiwiChris too long to put his hand on it on the way back. Good to tick this one off, thanks.
There appears to be some truth in the saying: "Third time lucky". I DNFed this cache some time ago and had a brief search on the way out with the Wednesday Walkers. Spoonz2 wanted to have another shot at it, so we walked back and I basically searched every spot methodically and soon felt something that felt out of place. Sure enough, when I extracted it, it was a black Bison. I am not sure whether the hint is still relevant as we could not see quite what it was referring to.
THLN. TFTC.

Found this nice easy one on a calm day but 4got my pen, not easy to reach from the path though
I checked this cache on my walk today and it’s still there - although not easy to reach if you stay on the walkway
Nice to avenge an old dnf. Thanks for replacing. Not quite as per hint but near enough.
Hi Guwapo
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

Parked the car at Ravenbourne and walked the dog down the Harbourside walkway. Picked up Moller Memorial and then on to Burkes Bridge 1. Found evidence of the hide for Burkes Bridge 1 but no cache.
Continued on and found similar evidence at Burkes Bridge 2. Decided both had met with a similar fate but continued to search a little longer and was rewarded for my effort.
Returned to Burkes Bridge 1 thinking that I might find it in a similar spot to #2 but sadly not.

**45° 51.495'S 170° 34.302'E** A micro more true to it's hint but not the description was found at a previous finders mention back in Aug'19 well over a year ago of the hide somewhat changed and black bison was in a loggable condition. The rock was well seated in hide and while the logslip was dry in the wee minigrip, the 15th place got signed. I had cito'd a coal bag from a failed cache GZ nearby and used the stronger cotton to repair the cache in the hide after flicking the rock. It was kinda obvious in hide and the hippo trail of dead tussock gave testament the cache gets many visitors searching. Looped and trussed in place the cache was returned not visible for the next cacheri. The useless broken fishing line was removed. If the string gets broken again going by the number of times the cache has been missing, disabled, reviewed, replaced, archived . . . maybe the cache should be PMO but I don't think premium will deter heavy fisted mugglers even if it's so far from the carparks and P&G's. TFTC
Found but it's not in its original location (but very very close). Hints get you close but not there
Have had a couple of tries at this one one but finally success today. Definitely not where any of the hint said it would be but still an easy find. TFTC!
Down in dunnas for the weekend for a log overdue "cache up " with kjr...
Quick find just not where the hint suggests

I rode to the Port Chalmers end of the cycleway, and then returned, geocaching on the way. This meant that I found Burke's Bridge #2 first, and assumed that #1 would be in a similar place, given the similarity in description and hint. However, no such luck. The shelf is considerably narrower, and I suspect that it has slipped down the bank and been swept away.
Time to do a bit of exercise so it was out to St Leonards for a walk along the cycleway/walkway.
There was nothing attached to the second one but found it tucked away in the grass against the bridge. The nylon had broken.
Cheers for the cache.

Took a while to locate this one - eventually found it with the cable cut, nestled in a bush. I placed it back in the shrub more securely - still reachable from the path. Tftc
Decided to play on my new scooter and get these caches so I parked at my work and off I went. Was lots of fun on the cycle track and I was surprised how many people use it. Was an easy find TFTC
Got it this time (return visit)
Great sunny ANZAC afternoon out cycling with G&G.

After attending the Carnival Event I tagged along with Bitsprayer and drawp to get the two new bike challenge caches along the cycle track and then we carried on a bit to get Burkes Bridge #2. Spent quite some time looking for that one but this time it was an instant find just as Bitsprayer and drawp drove past on the road behind me. Not sure if they seen my big thumbs up! Very happy to finally have these two TFTC
The harbourside track was reasonably quiet today but I still had to wait for a few wheels and feet to pass before I could approach uninterrupted. TFTC
Thank you for replacing this cache. We first looked for this cache when we first started thinking about geocaching and filed in the too hard or likely missing basket. When tackling the new cycleway cache we noticed these had been replaced and so today went for a harbourside walk. Beautiful day and a straightforward quiet find today. TFTC #270
Thanks Guawpo for getting this one up and running again. This time I decided to grab it as soon as possible instead of leaving it for a more convenient time only to find it has gone AWOL. This current method of attachment should last unless muggles intervene.
Same as bridge cache #2. Velcro in place but no sign of the cache. Perhaps a big wave or a niggle got this one?
Not many muggles out this morning. A pretty chilly Sunday morning. Had a reasonable search but under a little time pressure so maybe slightly rushed. Will be back. Hockey practice nearby every Sunday
Used the good weather to take a quick walk along the water and discovered this cache.

I'm on a south island tour on my recumbent bike and stayed at the holiday park last night. Visiting Dunedin today. TFTC.
Decided to take little E for a walk to sign this cache that had been gone for a while. Just putting the cache back when suddenly a train was right beside me. The dog cache and myself nearly lost ourselves in the water from the fright. I noticed this cache wasn't enabled but cache was there. TFTC

Saw some remnants of velcro of wherethe cache was.likely to be. May need maintenance.
Couldn't find it with Hevic nearly a year ago, but found its replacement solo today when on a harbour-based bike ride. Had no trouble since the cold weather was keeping most muggles away, it was a bit wet on the outside but dry inside. Not too sure about how it's going to stay stuck to its hideyhole, hopefully I'm wrong. Cheers!
Cool wee hide thanks for replacing this cache! I spent the majority of time making sure I put the thing back right. Pretty sure I got it stuck, hope it stays there!
DNF with Hevic. Like previous finders, we found evidence that this cache is long gone and needs a replacement.
Found while madly dashing along the bridge trying to take photos of the stingrays and barracudas swimming past in the inlet. Thanks
