A long way up here for a small, but needs must as one of this size I'd targeted today is missing. And thinking this was a 'lonely cache' for double points proved futile as I'm the second to visit today. Pipped by one of the few Te Araroa walkers passing through.I found the coordinates out, but no trouble to double back for the hinted hide. TFTC
What a amazing view from Greensroad! I was delighted. And so many caches what I have had possibility to search today! Thank you for this one.
Did a day trip to get some points towards this months WoC. Coords had me walking along the track. Found where the hint suggested to look.TFTC
Beautiful spot, cache was about 10m off what my phone said but it's a rural location where pH signal can cut in am out..
End of the road, literally! I am glad I had company traversing this Road and helping to find these caches. I can't think of anything better to do at the end of a work day than to go bush and hunt out these caches. Thank you.
Out and about with tmann421 today.
Catching up on some of the new(ish) caches in the PN area.
Thanks to the cache owners for all the efforts in their hides
Short search here until I realised I had read the hint wrong. Armed with the correct hint it was a nice quick find!!!

Stopped by today but couldn't find a place to hide the size/style of containers I'd brought with me.
I did however scope out a suitable location, I just need to sort out a suitable container

Off on a walk for the hound and thought we’d do a bit of the green corridor, starting up the top and walking down to Greens Rd.
We’d been to both ends of this track before (before we started geocaching), on the topographic map it showed up as a drivable road but when we arrived it was obviously not! (Anymore??)
No joy finding this cache unfortunately, we saw some differing coordinates in the previous logs so had a good hunt around for about 15 mins. The last find was Dec 2020 so this cache may need to be checked on
Thanks anyway

No luck finding this cache and looks like we aren’t the first. May need to be checked:)
As with last visitor it's not at the hints although there is a place that looks as though it had something.
I climbed the gate to look on the lower road but no sign of something that's have fallen from position.
A nice circuit ebike ride from Old West Road.

The Manawatu region is now in Alert Level 2, which means we can now go geocaching again. Yippee!

Very sure we found the spot - as others have said it’s 15m from the geo location - great hint. But no cache present. There’s been lots of maintenance recently so could be that
Day 55 of my TA adventure...
Time to head for the hills again ...
Great to be out of the city again ..nice climb up the hill so the perfect place for a break ...log soaked couldn't sign ..needs some TLC tftc

Quick find on our te Araroa thru-hike. We walked to this cache- not just from the other end of the road, but from Cape Reigna at the northern tip of New Zealand! Cache is a little wet, and log is difficult to write in but we did it.
I had qualified for a nearby Challenge Cache some time ago, and as I now feel like I seem to spend at least a third of my life in and around Palmy (in a good way of course!) it would only be a matter of time before I got around to having a search for this one and any other caches situated nearby including this one.
A glorious afternoon of Spring sunshine welcomed me to the Turitea Valley (unlike the the rain I'm currently experiencing as I write this, bored senseless at work!), a place I had never been to before which is one of the delights of Geocaching.
I hadn't planned on getting this cache at all, as when I had looked at the map earlier in the day I thought I would have to take a long drive to it on Greens Road, but when I saw that with a bit more driving from where I was on Turitea Road I would leave myself with an easy looking walk of a bit less than 2km. That seemed like a good option so off I went, pausing occasionally to admire the greenery along the way.
My GPS took me to a spot about 15 - 20m away from where I eventually found the cache, which was an easy find due to the excellent Hint. The cache wasn't particularly hidden fully, so I'm surprised it hasn't been spotted by one of the Runners or Mountain Bikers that seem to like the track but otherwise all was fine with the container and its contents, and the log was duly signed before the whole thing was replaced and covered just a little better with some natural camo.
Even though the find was relatively easy, might I suggest a tweak to the co-ordinates? S40 26.121 E175 39.338 would, I believe, be closer.
Thank you for the cache, and the excuse to visit somewhere new.

Enjoyed the walk up to this geocache. Had no idea that the Te Araroa passed this way. Thanks for bringing us here. Cache all fine. TFTC
TFTC, a quick find whilst out and about. Lovely to see fungi in the natural open space, Road no issue as all dry, passed a runner on the way out, so care is needed on the road due to limited visibility in places. Cache all dry, replaced as found.
Technically this is the closest unfound cache to home, however getting there is another matter entirely. Dot-days on weekends are a good opportunity to grab these sort of caches and so headed over this way today to make the find. Glad it has been dry the last week or so as getting to GZ in the car in the wet would have been quite a challenge, especially the partly cleared slip near the end of the gravel road. A quick find once we got there and, other than a little moisture in the container that we dried out, all in good order. TFTC.
Still got a few caches around the greater Palmerston North area that need to be found. Pleasant drive up this road until right at the end where it was clear that a slip had recently come down and blocked the road. this slip has been cleared but the road is a little bit messed up. the cache was quickly in hand. TFTC
while the weather is good and I have a few caches out this way to get, tonight was the night, headed out after work with the hope that they were all in good order, was lucky it didnt rain even though it looked like it wanted too - well what a long gravel road but in very good condition.
once I got within 120m we faced a big slip with very rough ground, as I didnt want to lose the front of my car or belly out I took it with a lot of car as I also didn't want to leave my car sitting in the middle of the road to go get it, made the safe crossing both ways - log book damp tipped water out of cache. thanks for the placement

Found when out with a group from the Manawatu Tramping and Skiing Club - we had not gone to Kiritaki Hut. Weather was windy but the rain held off. We had walked up through the Green Corridors Walk and continued on up the hill. Cache in good condition. TFTC.

After completing the Sledge Track with Etherlord and the Seagnoid we made a stop here on the way home. My GPSr had me taking the wrong 'road' initially but with the help of the hint I soon realised there was a better location. Scrambled towards GZ and spotted the likely location which turned out to be correct.
Log overdue maintenance visit to this cache after I adopted it from Ginarley.
Cache is in good order, although both stardust718's and my GPSrs had us on the low road which was about 15m from GZ.
New coords taken.

Yay got this one after 5ish months of jot being found Nice quick find too in a beautiful peaceful spot. Cache was in good order, although it was growing roots! Nice spot to take a breather on my run. Added an extra plastic bag just in case the other one wasn't water tight.
Eta to get correct date, cause I forgot to log til Xmas day

Quick find once at site.
Nice slip covering the road about 150 meters short of the cache. At least my boots now look lived in ☺

Nice sunny day with biting Southerly blowing.
Biked to cache from Turitea Valley.
Greens Road has been blocked by a slip just 100m from the road-end. TFTC.

We drove from the Kahuterawa Road end then parked at the "top" of the road, -40.43950, 175.63588 where it's easy to turn the car around. Altitude 233m/ 765ft and you can see forever. Then a nice 30-minute walk along the track to the road end and the cache, and back.
As i'd had a couple of DNF's on the Bridle track series, I decided i'd grab this one on my way home, as i'd attempted it the other day, but from the wrong end of the road. GPS was no help, so I had to fall back on checking each and every one of the hint items, luckily I found what I was looking for on my 5th one…
A fun drive in my dodgy old Hiace Van, and gave me my number 5 for the day. TFTC.

Was heading heading in to do this today, but had failed to read description properly, so was driving from Turitea end. Luckily for me, road works by the water treatment plant prevented me going too far. Then I drove around to Kahuterawa to grab some of them, without even realising how close I was to this. As Arnie says "I'll Be Back"

Time to reminisce - one of us used to run through here from Palmerston North as a regular training run - many, many years ago. tftc
Nice jog with the dog on a beautiful afternoon, had to heck under a few braces before I found the right one
Greens Road (Manawatu) was transferred from Ginarley to user Etherlord Clan
Came here on a day visit with Yeetrees to hunt out some unfound caches in the area. The topographic map showed the road the road going right through but there was a gate stopping us near GZ so we had to return the way we came. A quick find - signed log, TFTC
Quick find today. Was one of my last caches of the day after spending couple hours walking sledge track.I thought that this road continued on to Palmy Water Supply Cache. Was surprised that it was adead end but glad to tick it off anyways.
An easy find on a ride up Turitea and Greens Roads and over to Kahuterawa. Lovely weather. Thanks for the cache!
There was a guy on his mountain bike coming along the track when we pilled up so waited for him to go past before I got out of the car to find the cache. Nice easy find. TNLNSL TFTC

A couple of muggles nearby but a quick and stealthy cache and grab. TFTC Ginarley.
A napot így ideje, hogy vizsgálja meg a Wairarapa újra. Talált ezt a cache. Köszönöm a geoláda. Kiváló!
Bit disappointing that the road was closed for vehicles.. Wld have liked to carried on. Oh well. TFTC
Unfortunately my bike decided to get a flat tire when I was halfway along the track so I left it where it was and ran to the end to find the cache. Then it was back to the bike and find some reception so I could ring a bike ambulance to come and collect us. I ended up running halfway back down Turitea road - good exercise! Thanks for the adventure
After completing 'Palmy Water Supply (Manawatu)' cache I continued along a very narrow road towards this cache. To my surprise the road stopped 1.2km from the prize - damn! So I jumped out and walked/jogged to the cache - beautiful walkway with plenty of things to admire. I wish I had my MTB though. I was glad for a quick find and I was knackered by the time I got back to the car. I'll sleep well tonight!

I was heading for a different cache - took wrong road which had me 900 metres from my intended destination at the end of the road. Walked for some distance, and finished up at this cache. Plenty of fresh crisp air. Three muggles on bikes - but still found, logged, and returned without problems. TFTC.
Spent the day caching around the Manawatu today while the weather was great. My last find for today an didn't take long to locate. Signed log them replaced. TFTC.
easy find after a nice run along Greens road. Love the undulating countryside here! TFTC!
A love a good gravel road and this one didn't disappoint. Nearly got muggled by a lone cyclist TFTC Ginarley
I had been eyeing up this cache for some time, but haven't been able to get the time to do it. Even last weekend and New Year's would not do - I was on call at the hospital. So today I decided to just head out after work - someone else is on call this week! I love this track, have cycled it a few times. Soon found the cache and headed back. I had my road bike - skinny tyres. Made 20km/h dangerously fast in some places - almost came a cropper. loose shingle. And a big head wind on the way back. Glad I found hte cache! sure earned it!
Did a bit of a detour after doing some caches & a run on the sledge track.
Interesting bit of road. Loads of muggles on bikes around, even on a morning with dodgy weather. TFTC

Found fairly quickly on the way to the 12/12/12 event in Palmerston North. SL TFTC
EtherDad and EnJay brought me out for a drive. We had to park up the road a bit, but we found it easily enough.
An interesting drive into the cache - never been along here before. In fact, it was such a lovely spring day, as we returned we parked up at a good view over farmland, spread our rug and enjoyed a peaceful picnic lunch. Thanks for bringing us here.
Found with EnJayNZ and EtherMiss.

Decided to make the most of a sunny afternoon, dusted off the MTB and biked to this one via Turitea Road. In my younger days I used to regularly run and bike this "Dam block" so it was good to return here and enjoy the peaceful countryside. Also logging this find for GC2XBA7 "Rambler's Reward Challenge as Ramble #4 (bike rides count too!). Thanks Ginarley for this well-placed cache.
A quick easy joint FTF with markhnz at 5.30 p.m. after driving to end of this interesting road. TFTC
We took the driving option for a quick find.
I have driven, cycled and run this road before.
Thanks.
