After a morning tea catch up with Mr Plow's Mum and Dad for Mother's Day we decided to head out West for some caching. We did about half of geniejoan's RRR park and go series, and then it was time for lunch. After a nice lunch in Melton we decided it was time to go for a walk. We parked in the burbs nearby and found our way into this beautiful area. What fantastic trees you have here. Middle child is doing his best impression of a tree in the photo uploaded here. TFTC The Seven Secrets from Plowfive.
Had a day off today and decided to get some caches around Melton. Another quick and easy find but now I have socks and shoes full of grass seeds... OUCH... TFTC
On our trip to Melton we decided to take my grandparents! 3 boys were excited to take their great grandparents geocaching! Thanks
Found today while walking around these paths, and some cross country walk was needed here, Thanks for the hide The Seven Secrets, it was not too bad to touch, and nice big container, with lots of swag, which I do not take cache is in very good condition
While visiting from Michigan USA, I took 3 muggles caching in their own back yard. This Cache they said they would not have touched...we don't worry so much about these in the States, so I had no problem. We had a nice walk through the park in search of the caches while catching up on the 10 years since we've seen each other. TFTC
Out to get close to our 500 goal 2day. Love the walk and old trees. I was cautious by the hint but still jumped a bit!
Ventured out to the area to find a few caches on a wonderful Labour day holiday.
Nice easy find.

Found by Team Ninja 03/02/15, find number 756.
I was getting my car serviced in Melton today and like last time, I took the opportunity to find a few of the local caches. The weather was as good as last time with drizzle most of the morning, but I was determined to find all the DNF's from last trip!
After the drizzle had stopped about 30 minutes earlier, it returned with fury between the last cache and here, with the wind picking up to make the walk quite unpleasant, despite the nice scenery! I actually walked straight past GZ in my frustration at the rain, and quickly backpeddled once I realised my mistake!
At GZ I found a film canister sitting on the ground with log inside so I signed it and went to replace it in the hiding place above, when I spotted something....hmmmm. If I didn't have my whits about me at that point I think I would have hit the roof! I'm not sure why there were two caches there but I decided I'd better sign the log in both so I attempted to extract the other cache. With the red back spider plague in Melbourne at the moment (and uncovering one when searching for a cache on Monday) I wasn't sticking my hand in there, so I spent a few minutes using a natural tool to wrestle the cache from it's hiding spot. I eventually got it out and signed the log, replacing both caches back in the hiding spot. TFTC!

This ended up being our last find for the day as eldest geokid was spooked by this one. Hahaha. I know I shouldn't laugh, and didn't at the time, but it is giggle-worthy in hindsight.
A nice area - the residents are lucky.
Look forward to completing the trail.

TFTC. We had decided to stay in Hillside with team Stacie&Mitch for another night with the intention of completing the RRR trail and then because we were close the TSS trail. This morning with two thirds of team Stacie&Mitch (two grand children ) we set of for a day of quality time with number 1 grand daughter and number 3 grandson.
We stopped in the area for a bite to eat before starting on the Killarney Lakes Adventure. After lunch we walked and drove to the various caches on the trail. Definitely a great spot to walk and ride bikes.

TFTC-Another day spent with Hans and Linda .Today we found 37 caches today and didn't have one DNF we did all of the RRR and TSS trails on Melton highway and Ryan road .
I finished work a little early today and decided to expand my map clearance from home. This was my seventh find for the day. The cache and log are in good condition.

We decided to do some caching in the Killarney Lakes area on our way back to Adelaide. Fortunately the weather wasn't too hot for a walk this morning. There were some large back yards along the trail with dogs and a horse quite interested in passers by. TFTC

Passing through for the event while on the way to Warrnambool, so will take the opportuity to grab a cache or 2. Teamed up with TR!, Snap Happy, Suss_Vulture and Princess Diana to make this find. We met up with Windscreen who had already made the find.

Find No. 1151. Found with FUF009 at 3.40pm.
A trip to Melton to attend Intervening Days V111 Event. Once that was over it was time to do some caching before heading home.
As FUF009 was grabbing this hide, he yelled and jumped back. A spider had scared him. Of course, we just laughed.
Another good hide on this trail.

Having successfully crossed the raging river twice without being caught by crocodiles (or even by snakes), we met yet another cacher, windscreen, as we arrived here. He had already found the critter but gave us the opportunity to find it ourselves. Done. We found the current log book as well as a spare one. Now, that is future planning!

Found an access point for the walk to the GZ area . Get to the area and quite frankly there's no one in attendance at GZ and I'm left thinking " they've been and gone and you will have to actually find this by yourself " as I get to GZ and sight the cache they come around the bike path into view . So I was rapt that I got to one first ( no disrespect guys ) But after chatting with them I realize that I have arrived in the middle of the trail , so there's one that way and there's 2 that way . Thanks The Seven Secrets .
After attending the intervening event I was wanting to stretch the legs. It always good to check out different areas and the walk along here was very quiet today. Some beautiful old trees along the way. Left TB Thanks for the walk The Seven Secrets
After bumping intoWhitepaws9 at a previous cache, we decided to join forces to pick up the caches around the Killlarny Lakes. This one was a quick and easy find, and we were soon on our way again to our next gz. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
After a local event, and the fact that we had a number of the local caches already converted to smilies, we decided a walk down this way was the way to go. So we teamed up with HappyFeet1, Snap Happy, Suss_Vulture and Princess Diana and headed off. This was the 4th to be converted to a smiley.
This one was found easy, signed and replaced.
Thanks for bringing us here.

It has been a while since I done a caching run & being a weekend and the forecast looking promising - I decided upon a run in the Melton area. A quick call to tidder and by 11am, we were well and truly on the way. We couldn't ask for a better day - in fact the weather was supreme, and with NO muggles to contend with. Both tidder and I enjoyed the peaceful walk and the amazing shapes and sizes of the Red gums.
The Hide:
Awesome walk along this trail - well thought out - this one was swiftly sniffed out and log signed and returned and onto the next ... YAY
Overall a worthy series - shall recommend.
Many Thx to the CO

Out and about with shogun and this took us to a very interesting location and reserve. The many river red gums in this area were so inspiring. The cache was quickly recovered, log signed and safely back again.
This series is placed along a really nice path with some beautiful old trees and quite a bit of bird life. Unfortunately I don't imagine many people other than the residents of the estate even know it exists let alone use it. I had to take stock at GZ momentarily before sticking my hand in to retrieve the cache as I have disturbed some slightly more authentic versions in a couple of caches recently. Thanks for the cache The Seven Secrets.

An easy walk from other caches in this series and an easy find here. Log signed and replaced to its little home.
Nearby, on the rear of a residential property was a great display Prickly Pears (?) covered in fruit, if you happen to be there anytime soon.

In the Melton area this afternoon on a work related task, managed to find some time to whip around and find a few caches, many thanks to for the effort and placement of this cache. TNLN SL
Found it, wasn't able to grab it and log as there was a wasps nest haunting me and I'm allergic
Made the most of the cooler weather and did this walking trail with Geobuddy BJ. Spotted this one immediately accompanied by the usual crawling skin and jumpy pulse. Decided I had to attempt to deal with it after walking all that way and found a handy stick to flick it out Once out in the light my brain decided it looked fake enough to ignore so I managed to open, sign the log, close it back up and deposit it back in its spot without any ensuing heart attack [:p] TNLN. We found this cache today at 4:45pm as number 12 of 23 on our Melton Intervening Days Tour. Once again, we drove across to the access point for this cache. On arrival, we spotted Frog Lady walking away from the cache and we had a brief chat once again. The easiest find of the series. Thanks from D & HA B-A.
Hasn't been found in 10 months!

Did a maintenance check on this one today and it is all good and waiting for someone to find it. Happy hunting.
I had a longer look but that came up empty - given this is app supposed to be a D1.5 cache, it's gone.

Another Friday, another indoor cricket match, this time in Melton. With SanguineDragonflye having the day off, we decided to wander in for a cache run before the game, collecting 15 in and around the eastern part of the city.
Sanguine found this one as well, in a spot I'd j-u-s-t missed out on. That'll teach me to be lazy! Nevertheless, it was a good hide in an amazingly serene spot (barring the Melton Hwy traffic) - cheers to the Seven Secrets for bringing us here!

I beat CJ to this one too was doing really well for the first half of the day. Nicely tucked away, this place is serene. As we walked along the trail to the next cache we couldn't help but notice the grass swaying for as far as we could see. TFTC

PLEASE NOTE that if any more 4 wheel drives enter this cache along with 3 & 4 we will have to disable these caches as these are on a walking trail not 4 wheel drive tracks. Please respect the properties that you pass by and park on the road. We would like to keep these caches in operation so your co-operation is needed. Thank you.

It was going to be a warm day, I decided to grab a few before midday. I had all 5 in my sights but was only able to locate 3. Up and down, over a few hills, I spotted the walking track and felt a little guilty. Oh well, at least I wasn't sweating it up on the walk! Thanks for the cache The Seven Secrets, didn't know this part of Smelton existed.

It's taken me a while to log this, but I decided to tackle all of these on a nice Summer day. I was a little concerned I was trespassing on private property and had no idea where to park but got there in the end. Loved the sheep, and the utterly stunning old trees in this area.

Yesterday we went east. Today, west, after some time in a long queue at the educational suppliers to buy the one book we'd been unable to get secondhand.
Our fourth Killarney Lakes grab, and a very pleasant stroll by the creek-let. The squabbling and complaining had begun on the way past the prickly pears, so it was thankfully another quick find.

A quick tour of Eynesbury (and a bit of Melton) with Bettyboo3747, before night shift tonight.
Interesting tree, a little on the dead side, but quite striking.
We started on the wrong side, but eventually worked our way around before we hit the spikey bushes.
Thanks for this series.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 2740. Out caching with Robmc today and doing a few here in town before returning to Melbourne. This was the last one for the day. I wasn't sure we were going to have success here after our DNF at the previous one. There were bees flying around the dead tree nearby, but they were far enough away not to worry us. A bit of a search and soon Rob spotted the cache in a likely spot. TFTC
This one needs a new log too - it is getting tatty and torn.

A lot of dry grass near a creek with water on a warm day usually means wiggly sticks aren't far away. Fortunately we plodded heavy enough to scare them off. The only thing that spooked us on this adventure was the spider guarding the cache.
An easy find in the company of dutch frangipani. A pleasant day for a walk along these tracks in an area I have never been befor.

Found in the company of Coley_Babee, Alansee and Muzza.
After most of the chit chatting was complete, the four of us snuck away to find this cache and a few others in the area.
We'd hoped that it wasn't nearby the tree with the bees, fortunatly, it was far enough away.

Today I had planned as a caching day, normally a good friend celebrates his birthday today, but due to the fact that he is travelling overseas, I had the day free to go caching. I received an email from my caching partner in crime, SedgwickDave and he was free and eager to go and find some caches. We decided to head towards the Melton area and the Intervening Days V and Scubacrazy666's 1000th event which I unfortunately missed last year. We decided to leave early and to find a few caches on the way there. I picked up Dave at 9.15, It was a beautiful Summers day, just perfect for caching.
After attending the event, we headed out to do some more caching in the area.
We headed out for the next four caches on foot. We parked near #4, but there were muggle neighbours with motorbikes close by so we skipped it and headed to this one. Dave managed to find this one super quick.
Thanks again go to The Seven Secrets for the Cache.

Today the weather conditions were ideal around mid 20s and a light southerly breeze. Found with Ahomburg as we were still on the hunt for more cache types with 4 types already found. Today's run ended with a tally of 23 but there is still more to find here so will be back again soon.

After meeting old and new caching friends at this year's Intervening Days Geocache event themd and I decided to hunt down the five caches along the Killarney Trail and this was the next on the list.
The White Beast was parked on the road this time and we wandered down the path to where a large group of well known cachers had gathered. With Coley Babee, Princess Diala, mussa and Alansee the cache stood no chance.
The cache guardian was not as realistic as the guy I had stroked his or her bottom at #4 earlier but was not too worried.
