Well this one took us a while.... Luke (Geochild #1) and I ventured out to find this cache while Mrs P stayed with Tess in the stroller, as it's not quite made for off road work (Tess (7) is coming of her epilepsy meds and is lets just say a little unpredictable in terms of wanting to go for long walks and in general really.. so we put her in the stroller so that we could get some caching done).
Luke and I searched for a while and admired the beautiful majestic trees in the area. I had a good idea of where the cache was and used some technology I had on hand to confirm it.. but I was having trouble extracting it... umm, what to do? Send in the lady of the day, of Mother's day... So we trekked back to the others and sent the A team in.. well the team that had some gloves in their kit... 10mins later, cache was signed. TFTC The Seven Secrets and thanks for showing us all these beautiful trees.

Had a day off today and decided to get some caches around Melton. I don't know why people have a hard time finding this cache as I found it in the first place i looked lucky for me I didn't find a snake to go with it. A nice sized cache TFTC
On our trip to Melton we decided to take my grandparents! 3 boys were excited to take their great grandparents geocaching! Thanks
Didn't find this last visit and still same result today, looked in and around all possible places, but must not have my eyes switched to proper mode, will be back again as still other Melton area caches to do
While visiting from Michigan USA, I took 3 muggles caching in their own back yard. This cache we were unable to find, looked for awhile, but rain was threatening so we called it a day...we were 3/4 on the day so all was good.
Had a look for this hide but it hidden better than I can see, will return again after it has been found
This was my second attempt at this cache. I swear I looked there the first time! Well at least this time I got a smiley for the walk! TFTC
I had to go to the pool shop today, so I took the loooooooong way around to ensure I could collect a few caches on the way. Wow what an awesome tree! So magnificent. Old and gnarled and lovely and huge. Cache was luckily found without issue. TFTC
Ventured out to the area to find a few caches on a wonderful Labour day holiday.
I looked and looked and looked for this one.
Much loinger than i should have.
In the end, had it in my hot little hands and log signed.

Found by Team Ninja 03/02/15, find number 754.
I was getting my car serviced in Melton today and like last time, I took the opportunity to find a few of the local caches. The weather was as good as last time with drizzle most of the morning, but I was determined to find all the DNF's from last trip!
This one is so easy! I have no idea how I missed it last time! I definitely checked where I found it hidden today, maybe it was better concealed?
Anyway, upon arrival I soon discovered the decent sized container and had the log signed. TFTC!

TFTC. We had decided to stay in Hillside with team Stacie&Mitch for another night with the intention of completing the RRR trail and then because we were close the TSS trail. This morning with two thirds of team Stacie&Mitch (two grand children ) we set of for a day of quality time with number 1 grand daughter and number 3 grandson.
We stopped in the area for a bite to eat before starting on the Killarney Lakes Adventure. After lunch we walked and drove to the various caches on the trail. Definitely a great spot to walk and ride bikes.

TFTC-Another day spent with Hans and Linda .Today we found 37 caches today and didn't have one DNF we did all of the RRR and TSS trails on Melton highway and Ryan road .
I finished work a little early today and decided to expand my map clearance from home. This was my fifth find for the day. The cache and log are in good condition.

We decided to do some caching in the Killarney Lakes area on our way back to Adelaide. Fortunately the weather wasn't too hot for a walk this morning. We enjoyed seeing some big old trees in the area. A quick find. TFTC

Find No. 1149. Found with FUF009 at 3.25pm.
A trip to Melton to attend Intervening Days V111 Event. When that was over it was time to do some caching before heading home.
Parked the car and then headed off for a walk around the area. A good hide and a quick find.
Took wrist band. Left polar bear.

We came here in the company of our caching friends. Vehicles were parked, and off we went through a wire fence. We arrived amongst lots of chatter and laughter, with SnapHappy making the find. We all signed the log, and on we went.
Thanks for showing us your local playground and the amazing trees around here!

Didn't have this in my gps ( don't know y ) but had a "feeling " I would/could still find it . Well actually had a bit/lot of a heads up from other cachers that I ran into on #3 . Thanks The Seven Secrets .
After attending the intervening event I was wanting to stretch the legs. It always good to check out different areas and the walk along here was very quiet today. This one gave me no joy. Amazing tree and the locals have taken advantage and put up a tree house. Great to see them enjoy the simply things still. Gave it a good search but then decided to move on as I did not want to make the locals nervous. Thanks for the journey The Seven Secrets
After bumping intoWhitepaws9 at a previous cache, we decided to join forces to pick up the caches around the Killlarny Lakes. This one proved to be by far the biggest challenge for us in this series, keeping the 3 of us occupied for quite a while before Whitepaws9 finally spotted the container. Watch out for the spiky box thorn bushed around gz, they will make a hole in you quick smart if you are not paying attention. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
After a local event, and the fact that we had a number of the local caches already converted to smilies, we decided a walk down this way was the way to go. So we teamed up with HappyFeet1, Snap Happy, Suss_Vulture and Princess Diana and headed off. This one was the second in this series to be converted.
This one was found easy, signed and replaced.

Another fence and vacant block navigated to get to this wonderful tree. I expected a tree climb, but cache was found well hidden in a different spot cleverly hidden out of sight . Thanks for the cache here, fav point
Enjoy the walk toward the cache with Papillon4506.
What a huge beautiful tree!
Found it after a bit of search.

It has been a while since I done a caching run & being a weekend and the forecast looking promising - I decided upon a run in the Melton area. A quick call to tidder and by 11am, we were well and truly on the way. We couldn't ask for a better day - in fact the weather was supreme, and with NO muggles to contend with. Both tidder and I enjoyed the peaceful walk and the amazing shapes and sizes of the Red gums.
The Hide:
WOW! A cool GZ - I wonder if we were being watched A neat hide with tidder sniffing out the well concealed stash
Overall a worthy series - shall recommend.
Many Thx to the CO

Took us a few minutes to find this one but eventually laid a hand on it at 3:05pm. Had to be careful of the many dead branches of box thorns laying about - with thorns still intact! Moved a fair few of them away but still suggest cachers take care here.

Good job for long arms as having a back problem made the reach here a bit of an effort, but manged it without too much trouble. Signed the cache log and returned it to its resting place.

I picked this cache up at 2:27pm. Yep, the cache is there, but it was a tricky one, really hidden away quite well. Found to the accompany drone of two small dirt bikes with two kids on them, going around and around and around and around and around.....
After having attended the Annual Intervening Days event just down the road, I had a small amount if time to use up before I had to head to the airport for work. Thanks for the cache The Seven Secrets.

We found this cache today at 3:55pm as number 9 of 23 on our Melton Intervening Days Tour. We got down way low and was able to reach in to grab this one. Thanks from D & HA B-A.
Did a maintenance check on this cache today and it was still in its little hiding hole just waiting for it to be found. It is all good. Happy hunting.
Discovered where a cache might once have been Perhaps the CO could confirm the status of this one.
Not having a good day today or these hides are just too clever for us! But loved the tree. What an ancient beauty. Thanks "The Seven Secrets".
No luck with this one, I must've been having a bad day today because I got 4 DNF's in a row! I just couldn't spot it and the GPS was jumping all over the place.
After being in the area to look for another cache, we wondered if this large area was home to other caches, especially on the way back to our car. Sure enough, there were a couple that fitted the criteria. We got to GZ and hunted around for about 10 minutes before finding this cache - it blended exceptionally well into the environment. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks The Seven Secrets for an enjoyable cache in an interesting area.
Found this and logged but got distracted and walked off before returning it. Got to next cache and realised I needed to come back, oops! Lovely old trees in this park. TFTC.

In the intervening time between leaving home and arriving at the Intervening Event, we were able to fit in some caching. What a magnificent old gum, it looks as if it has been the site of many adventures. The rosellas above, were having an adventure of their own as we signed the log. We noticed the cache note re the fact that a number of cachers are treating this as a drive-by. It would be a real shame if the cache has to be withdrawn from the game.
TNLN .. . . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt The Seven Secrets.

Found with Cj-curry while out one dark and spooky night. I couldn't climb a tree if a bear was chasing me, but I gave it a shot, with CJ alternating between offering assistance and laughing I'm sure :p

Another Friday, another indoor cricket match, this time in Melton. With SanguineDragonflye having the day off, we decided to wander in for a cache run before the game, collecting 15 in and around the eastern part of the city.
I love this one to bits. The cache was relatively straightforward, especially with Sanguine and I tackling it from different angles. I then decided to give the tree a climb, largely because we saw a wooden platform up there. My decision worked well, as I scrambled up with minimal effort - though the wood on the platform is decidedly not safe. Came back here later with Hevic in tow, though it was dark and she had problems getting more than one branch up. Ah well. Cheers again to the Seven Secrets!

What a tree! Hearing in my mind the quiet hint from the 2 Wanderers earlier in the day I reached in that little further and nabbed it. Right from under CJ's nose. His head was under the tree at that moment, that has to be the first time I ever could have thought that a eucalyptus tree was swearing at me. We did a bit of tree climbing after spotting a cool platform, for me, a combination of clinging and wriggling (still having trouble with my phobia) and of course CJ easily beat me up there, with twice the style :/
No joy here for me today. No finds on this one for a while either. Cant help but wonder if others haven't been logging their DNF's, when they've done others in the series? Thanks for the hunt though.

Easy find on our return walk from the north - only collecting two of the series. A very warm morning. Suggest providing coordinates of suggested start to collect these on foot. Thanks
PLEASE NOTE:- That if any more 4 wheel drives enter this cache along with 2 & 3 we will have to disable these caches as these are situated on a walking track not a 4 wheel drive track. Please respect the properties you pass by and park on the road. We would like to keep these caches operation so your co-operation is necessary. Thank you.

This one was easy, I had spied a way to get the Jeep in took advantage of the 4WD capabilities! Thanks for the cache The Seven Secrets, didn't know this part of Smelton existed.

It's taken me a while to log this, but I decided to tackle all of these on a nice Summer day. I was a little concerned I was trespassing on private property and had no idea where to park but got there in the end. Loved the sheep, and the utterly stunning old trees in this area.

Yesterday we went east. Today, west, after some time in a long queue at the educational suppliers to buy the one book we'd been unable to get secondhand.
Shifting the car to a more favourable location, the girls and I homed in on this pretty little spot, where I had to get down and dirty for the find, as it was apparently too much for the elder child.

A quick tour of Eynesbury (and a bit of Melton) with Bettyboo3747, before night shift tonight.
A few spike bushes protect GZ, but it hasn't stopped the cubby house from being built overhead.
A good sized container and a nice change from the bisons.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 2739. Out caching with Robmc today and doing a few here in town before returning to Melbourne. So, this one isn't tiny. Beautiful old tree here with a lot of spikey stuff nearby. We prodded and poked and fossicked here and finally managed to track down the cache. TFTC
Parked at the T intersection and walked into the reserve to pick up 3 caches here, this one was pretty quick as the spot kind of stood out.
An easy find and a good sized cache. Nice way to finish our walk. Thank you for the caches.

Found in the company of Coley_Babee, Alansee and Muzza.
After most of the chit chatting was complete, the four of us snuck away to find this cache and a few others in the area.
I think the locals must be wondering what is going on as they were playing with their motocycles anound GZ and beyond.
I'm sure there would have been a steady stream of visitors here today.

Today I had planned as a caching day, normally a good friend celebrates his birthday today, but due to the fact that he is travelling overseas, I had the day free to go caching. I received an email from my caching partner in crime, SedgwickDave and he was free and eager to go and find some caches. We decided to head towards the Melton area and the Intervening Days V and Scubacrazy666's 1000th event which I unfortunately missed last year. We decided to leave early and to find a few caches on the way there. I picked up Dave at 9.15, It was a beautiful Summers day, just perfect for caching.
After attending the event, we headed out to do some more caching in the area.
The last one in this series turned into a bit of an event with about ten cachers searching around. These include the ones we bumped into previously, Team highrod, ST37E, S 4 Sammy, Bushfire and themd. This was a nice easy find for us as highrod had the log in his hand when we arrived. What a fantastic Tree. A favorite point.
Thanks again go to The Seven Secrets for the Cache and the series TNLN.

Having attended the Intervening Days V event it was time to hit some of the local caches and explore the surrounding region. Today the weather conditions were ideal around mid 20s and a light southerly breeze. Found with caching wingman Ahomburg as we hunted out the caches in the Melton region. Today's run ended with a tally of 23 but there is still more to find here so will be back again soon.
This was the last found in this series and on approach bumped into other cachers who had also attended the event. Always great to meet fellow cachers while on the hunt. During the log signing a young muggle on motor bike circled GZ, not sure if he knew we were here. TFTC The Seven Secrets.

We walked round and round and round.
Eventually after practically climbing and diving the cache was soon found.

Eventually after practically climbing and diving the cache was soon found.

After meeting old and new caching friends at this year's Intervening Days Geocache event themd and I decided to hunt down the five caches along the Killarney Trail and this was the next on the list.
The White Beast made easy work of getting us to this guy and then the fun started with so many places to hide a cache. Using the PAF system to I&P who had been here a few days before we soon narrowed the location down and then S4 Sammy, ST37E and highrod teams arrived to carry on the hunt as we had returned it to it's hidy spot.
Thanks to The Seven Secrets for placing this cache.

Found with highrod & ST37E after the intervening days event.
Ran into some more cachers, seems to be a theme after an event
Thanks to highrod for braving to put his arm to get this one
