Couldn't resist calling into the domain on our way home. Have been here on a number of previous occasions. Saw this cache published after we had left home so had to manually add in the co-ords. No problem with the find using the co-ords of the previous finders. Listing co-ords still appear to be wrong. TFTC congrats on your first placement.

Thanks to geocaching I now know the domain pretty well - so I knew exactly where this cache would be without touching the GPS and a quick find ensued. Looking at google earth the coordinates do seem to be out by quite a bit but it is a fantastic part of the domain and well worth a cache - TFTC Smile

We think these new coords will still be well out as they change things by less than 4m while the discrepency was about 250m (as expressed in logs below).

A nice find could do with the actually coords for it

Been caching in this area before so knew where the cache may be, defiantly not at GZ, it was middle of park. These way points worked for us S40 18.031 E175 45.439. Thanks

A quick and easy find, but I think the coordinates are out by about 250 metres.
My GPS wasn't working, but looking at Google maps, it looks more like S40 18.032 E175 45.434.
Nice lookout.
Thanks.

Thanks for providing your first cache casa del hince. It was a straightforward find that also gave us the chance to introduce a visiting friend to geocaching and the Ashhurst Domain - both of which were appreciated. Unfortunately, the cafe mentioned in the description has closed down. Hopefully, it may start up again oneday.
We agree with markhnz re the coordinates being well out. We read them at the cache site as
S40 18.031 E175 45.439

Found with Ethermiss, EnjayNZ and Andy007.
Congrats on your first cache!

My GPS puts the coords at 253m out (and only 66m from the nearest cache... Sad)

PS, The Cafe is likely to be closed at the moment as the proprietors are currently in Israel!
I would imaging that it will re-open once they get back Wink

Found it but think a 250 meter discrepancy from the coordinates to the actual cache is a bit much if you haven't read the cache page to know where to start looking

19-Oct-12
Coordinates changed from:
S 40° 18.019 E 175° 45.260

Coordinates changed to:
S 40° 18.020 E 175° 45.262

Distance from original: 11.1 feet or 3.4 meters.

Cords updated,(taken from google earth). thanks for the feedback on my first Cache.
