14-Dec-17
Cache is missing. I checked the find with a previous finder and they confirmed I had been looking in the correct location. Nothing there. Bloody nanos.

11-Dec-17
Not much luck today.

21-Nov-17
Epic fail you pwned us n00bs... You are only as good as your next find.

15-Oct-17
Awesome find, overthought it but found it with geokid

29-Sep-17
Clever, great positioning. I had it some time before I realised I did! Signed at #21.

27-Sep-17
Too good for me. Took 10 to 15 minutes of searching. Examined many possibilities. Perhaps I misunderstood the hint. Oh well, that's geocaching.

24-Sep-17
A nice bit of history with a nice little cache at the end of the line. Had a cursory check, but was being eaten alive by the world's biggest mosquitoes. After contacting a previous finder, they pointed us to a place we'd already checked, and there was no cache there. We ended up finding it in the grass in the open. After signing it we returned it to where it should have been. TFTC Smile

10-Sep-17
No luck for me today. Had quite an extensive search and utilised the hint to full effect but no cache was found. May need the CO to check on it pls. Cheers

So clever.

Found it and signed

This was just about the end of our day so doing this cache fitted in just right, we all searched for a bit and in the end i remembered a past cache find and I had another look at something and what do you know there it was.
A great cache and boatietim was very pleased to find it at long last.
Thanks for a challenge.

My caching buddy Goose of GooseandEgg had been badgering me to do a trip to Melbourne for awhile now to just do a caching weekend. Well one Friday afternoon I caved in and we started our plans for weekend caching on the mainland.
With so many caches to choose from we spent a fare bit of time coming up with a shortlist, in the end it was a mix of old caches, puzzles and a bit of a numbers run.
Well all our plans went out the window while we were over for our weekend but due to good caching friends we had a great time doing our plan B.

It was a great weekend and my thanks goes out to all the CO's who have placed the caches we searched for, Goose for talking me into it and our other halves for putting up with our madness.

Found on 12/03/2017 at 5:04:00 PM

17:00, 12 March 2017, Find #231, Ali and I were out with stainless-steel-rat and gooseandegg from Tassie caching for the day while they are over here for the weekend and we decided to do a few in the Williamstown area (my home town) so local knowledge really helped today.

This one was on the to do list for the day as several of my caching friends have been here and not been able to find it, so we were on a mission to find and collect a smiley for this little critter.

So we all started looking in an area back, forth, left and right.. and then we moved and started in another spot or somewhere the other person had just looked as we all know that Andy had a quick look and moves on.. (from today's past experience at not finding caches in front of him) haha.....

Well it was not long until Andy of all people said those words we love to hear "found it" whoo hoo... team work rocks... what a sneaky hide.. so we signed the log and placed it back where we found it and took a few pics of the train at the station departing just as we were heading back to the car, feeling quite chuffed and pleased with ourselves.

Thanks for the fun but sneaky hide.
Fav point awarded.

Boatietim mentioned that other geocachers he knows have struggled with this cache. When I hear that two things happen: 1. a bit of self-doubt kicks in, but 2. I really want to find it! Tim did too. He was keen to show up his mates Wink
We wandered up and down the end of the line, checking from side to side. All the while the GPS was teasing us, as it jumped around pointing in all directions. That's the time to put it away and just look and feel.
Stainless-steel-rat looked and felt in the right place eventually because he found it. What a sneaky hide. Tim was over the moon, the rest of us were happy but Ali and I were soon distracted by a train up at the station. I like trains and they are very rare back in the island state. TFTC Pies111

19-Feb-17
Found it! Very pleased to find it today after not finding it a few weeks ago. The Walkabouters enjoyed a walk from Gellibrand Park to Sandy Point and back even though we got a bit wet! Before heading for home, I spent a few minutes here and found it. I noticed something just sitting there while is was investigating something nearby and there it was. However, I could not open the container to sign the log as either the previous finders closed it too tightly or oxidation has set in! Have taken a photo for proof if need be. TFTC Smile

06-Feb-17
Out in the area finishing a few caches from the weekend
This one is definitely at the end of the line
Looked, probed and felt everywhere so after about 15 mins I was about to abandon my search then something caught my eye and I then had the cache in hand
A very sneaky hide so a favourite goes out to you
So thanks Pies111 TFTC

Had another crack at this today but no joy Sad

03-Jan-17
Looked for a while but couldn't find it! Is it still active?

21-Nov-16
TFTC. My father ran a boatbuilding shed on the railway land adjacent to the End of the Line many years ago. The Railways ended his lease and the area is no part of Gellibrand park. Nostalgic, a little. We explored the end of there track and something did not gel. I spied something ,had a look and put it back. Picked it up again and realised that this was the cache. Great hide.

20-Nov-16
Found in on the second attempt. We were so distracted the first time due to the heat and a billion flies that vögeli put the cache back without realizing what it was! Great spot, thank you!

20-Nov-16
I was here with Karinaki. I had it but don't realized it. Tftc!

14-Nov-16
Second time round and having checked some old posts - finally found it!

This cache has been eluding me and a caching buddy (TrimTechnician) for some time (we first looked for this one a year ago) and today we was in the area again and decided to give it another shot.

We arrived at GZ and checked some of the places that jumped out at us with no luck, then TrimTechnician found something new and had an ah moment followed by "I thought I was onto something here". Knowing the cache had been recently replaced I was sure it was there and continued to search when I came across what I was looking for on the ground next to my friend's ah moment. You should have seen the look on his face as this was the first time he had seen such a thing.

Getting the log book was a struggle but it finally gave up its secrets and was signed and cache replaced.

Now we can both have a little happy face where there was once a little green icon.

My thanks goes to Pies111

Got me again long grass

15-May-16
Looked all around literal end of the line, read previous clues about tiny, magnetic and nails, being hammered. Nothing. Zip. Even when 1m on the GPS could find no trace of the cache.

16-Apr-16
No luck for me here this time. I only had time for a quick look before my train came in and I had to dash. Thanks anyway.

02-Apr-16
What does one do with 40 minutes to spare at williamstown station in the twilight zone of the extra daylight savings hour (yes 3am twice!)?
Look for a cache of course. Without success as it turned out

15:14, 2 April 2016. #371.

This is a clever little hide. I nearly didn't recognise the cache for what it was when I did find it.

Getting the log out was almost as tricky as getting it back in. The next finder might need something other than just fingernails to get the log out again.

SL. TFTC Pies111.

31-Mar-16
Very cool hide.. Lots of ants, we nailed it! TFTC

27-Mar-16
Cool hiding spot

17-Mar-16
Will go and confirm it is there in the coming week

12-Mar-16
Again this one has eluded me.....I am not sure that it is there anymore yet again....

06-Mar-16
Whilst Mrs one-eyed was enjoying a lunch with her old school chums in Yarraville , I ventured down to the Williamstown area.
On arrival at the location, I spotted two large chapes looking very seriously at me , so felt it best to withdraw.
Better luck next time.
Cheers.

Arrived on the train to Williamstown and this was the first stop for the day. Took a while to find this one but the hints were very helpful. Excellent hiding spot! TFTC.

05-Mar-16

Tricky one! This was the first attempted during a day of Williamstown geocaching with julesc21. We were sure we had the right spot as the hint was pretty clear, but it still took a little while to find. Julesc21 eventually found this sneaky little hide. TFTC!

04-Mar-16
This cache had TR, Snaphappy and I searching for a long time. With Two members injuring themselves in the search we finally figured out where it may be from reading previous logs. This was a seriously difficult cache to find but also a very rewarding one. I have added a fave point for the sheer head scratching challenge it posed. Thank You Pies111 for this clever cache.

23-Feb-16
Another teeny one today. Lost my pen, but a great spot nonetheless! Cheers

Wow! Nice one!!!

02-Jan-16
This was day 8 of our trip to the southern parts of our country being Victoria and Tasmania. We decided to pick up a few caches around Williamstown while we explored some parts of the area. This was a very sneaky hide and we loved it! We were looking around for a while and got a little bit of help by reading the logs. We were very happy to find this one. We just managed to squeeze our initials on the end of the log but it is now full and needs replacing. We are giving this cache a favourite point for the sneakiness of the hide. It was great. TFTC.

23-Oct-15
Out grabbing a few caches around Altona and Williamstown. This was the lucky last find for the day and a little luck helped find this tricky little hide.

Thanks for the Earth cache Pies111

17-Oct-15
Up from Geelong for the afternoon to collect some more smiley face and convert some green boxes, a yellow and a couple of EarthCaches too.
After our adventure out to Skeleton's mouth, we figured we'd grab an extra cache or two as we were here and this also was close by.

GPS coords were pretty spot on which made this an easier find thankfully. Would've been awesome to see this place back in the day 'full steam ahead' so to speak. Great little spot and great little hide

Thanks Pies111 for the cache and smiley face Smile
Log signed and cache replaced as found
