Today, we went up to Cradle Mountain and did the Crater Lake circuit. It was a lovely walk. Now, on our drive home, we are looking for all the easy park and grab caches on the way. This cache was very good, but definitely not a magnetic, contradicting what was stated in the hint. The coordinates were also off by quite a bit. I definitely wouldnt have found it very fast if I didnt look at the MASSIVE SPOILER in the previous logs image. If you dont want spoilers but want a more subtle hint, here you go: its very close to the building. Anyway, a great little cache in a tricky spot! TFTC sharnies tribe!
Find# 12174We had quite the search here and had to broaden our search area to find the cache. Obviously, this cache suffered a bit of "cache creep" from the magnetic options. We are on a two-week driving tour of Tassie. We're based in the Sutherland Shire in Sydney NSW.TFTC sharnie's tribe
We had hoped to find this one today but alas it wasnt to be. I searched all over the main metallic item at gz without luck. Eventually I expanded the search but no cache was found. Thanks anyway sharnie's tribe
Tasmania Trip Day 6. It is time to move on from Burnie, and I headed south towards Queenstown. There were of course a few detours, both for counties and for popular destinations Zeehan and Strahan. Unlike the last few days, the roads got quite twisty at times, but the scenery was spectacular and Queenstown although quite on a Sunday afternoon, was an interesting place to look around and find dinner. This was one of plenty of roadside caches I did to help get caches in each county I traveled through. Thanks for the cache sharnie's tribe45916.12 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2000 Finds Achievement 3 A#183**Albida**
We had no reception but geosenses had the cache in hand, we had to leave it a bit higher as we had a caravan pull up right a GZ and they seemed settled in, if the next person could leave it lower as per the hint. TFTC
[8984] Holidays on Tasmania, day 6. Today we left Strahan for our next stop near Smithton. Again, we spent most of the time driving, but we stopped also for some Geocaches and the 3 hrs walk to the Montezuma Falls. Finally, a really nice and impressive waterfall. At the end of the day, we added 10 smilies to the Geocaching map and enjoyed another beautiful day. This geocache added its share to the fun we had. TFTC!
We headed to Fossey River before lunch. We thought there might be a nice walk or something here but we sadly not. The info center could do with an upgrade on the info wouldnt take a lot, a bit sad really. We did however find a nicely hidden cache so that made it all worthwhile TFTC
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.I am enjoying driving through this area and grabbing a few along the way. Found this one on the ground. Replaced container with something a bit stronger, so it doesn't get muggled. Thanks sharnie's tribe for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Muggle central here. Must be the most visited toilet stop in Tas. I think ! And the Parks & Wildlife ranger was parked right at GZ, but I don't think he lifted his eyes from his phone whilst we extracted and then returned the cache. This is our day 4 on a west coaster sojourn, including a Fanny Lumsden gig at the Paragon Theatre in Queenie tomorrow. TFTC and other on this route, which we would not have visited if the FatMan Barge at Corinna was operating.
Found as we explored the area on holiday, stopped for a rest and glad to add a smile, TFTC and the fun
No one else here except me today. The roads are pretty quiet in winter. TFTC[I'm logging this a few months after finding the cache, but I have photo evidence if the CO wants to get in contact]
After travelling on wibbly, wobbly roads it was nice to finally drive in a straight line, if only for a little while.
On my way to Queenie to catch up with old friends, but not without grabbing a cache or three

Today we're exploring around this area.
A nice little rest area with helpful information inside the little hut.

Found while on a Tassie holiday with TT016, PrincessAria1 & LittleG00sE. Today we had a long trek from Stanley to Strahan via Penguin. It was nice to stop & find some caches along the way & stretch our legs. There weren't too many people coming & going so it didn't take us long to locate the cache, sign it & place back as found. This has been a very relaxed and surprisingly warm trip to Tassie, weaving our way around new and favourite places. We stopped here to find your cache and admire the great facilities before moving on.
Thank you for the cache.

We find ourselves in Devonport after a few exploring tassie. Basically done a full lap and we will be back,we have loved all the areas. While waiting for our trip home we decided to go for a drive and see where caching leads us.
Magnificent spot to have a walk, even better since you camp

Out and about caching in the area and stopped to locate this cache. The area was totally free of muggles, so a quick find was made. TFTC
In Tasmania for a short holiday, after staying in Queenstown now off to Stanley. Took a short time to see, GZ off, signed log and replaced. Thanks to sharnie's tribe
TFTC,
Continuing our 2021 Tasmania adventure which takes us to the North West. Our main goal is to be tourists however a good challenge is always worth trying and our plan is to increase the number of Tasmania Old School caches that we have found. We previously had 2 and believe that all going well can find another 7 this trip.
I looked there but it was Nana nel who found it.

This is my second day into a five day trip down through the Tarkine and North West Coast to locate caches that have recently been published and others not located on my last trip. This early find was the first for the day.
Doing a maintenance run on our west coast caches today, this one needed a new container, logbook and cliplock bag. All good to go again now
I’ll never forget the last time I stopped here and watched someone go to undo the bonnet of their ute but when they put their hand under the bonnet to unclip it, they grabbed hold of a huntsman instead. Horrific. Anyway, back to today. Was very quiet and fairly quick find - no phone reception so luckily & I had looked at clue in advance. The log was super wet & couldn’t be written on. TFTC .
#9945 - 1:09:00 PM; On a mission today to collect GCA caches as far west as Rosebery. Collected GC caches too as I make my way around, including this one. Nice quick find and sign as I headed back north. TFTC sharnie's tribe
No luck. Too many muggles and a crew filling water tanks and way to interested in our movements.
Found on the way from Devonport to Tullah during my motorcycle holiday on this marvelous island.
A quick find after a couple of night's camping at Waratah. TFTC

A great cache found on the way to Strahan. Lucky it didn't take too long - it was freezing. TFTC!
Heading towards the north coast and as we were under no time pressure whatsoever I was able to do some caching along the way. Despite the coffee stop opposite, I was able to find this quickly with no issues. TFTC
I left Adelaide ten days ago and slowly made my way across to Melbourne, then across on the ferry, and now I’m headed to Hobart, primarily to catch up with family and friends. But I have also been chasing down some selected caches, as well as a few opportunistic finds along the way.
Today I travelled from near Stanley, down to Queenstown via Tullah, then on to Bronte Lagoon where I camped.
This was a quick drive-by as I headed south.
Thanks sharnie's tribe for the cache.

With a couple of weeks annual leave, we have decided to bring ourselves down to Tassie for a break. Why Tassie? We have visited once before and loved it, but didn't have sufficient time to see much, and 2nd, Tassie was the only state/territory that we had not cached in, and 3rd, the weather is cooler than we have been experiencing in Victoria.
Day 2 We stayed at Cradle Mountain overnight, enjoying several short walks and the wildlife that seemed oblivious to humans watching them so closely. Heading in Burney direction today, not knowing were we will end up for the night.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to stop and stretch our legs.
SL and put snuggly back in place.

We had to take a detour to another north bound road after A10 was closed due to wild fire near Roseberry which had started earlier in the day.
