The horse was very inquisitive Our running mate is back from NZ and about to tackle the next 2800km to Darwin. Caching around Red Hill and Crystal Brook while he restarts his run.Tk2, I found Merriton Post Office today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Southern Autumn adventure Day 37. Mid North section of SA trip Day 8. Port Pirie area Day 3 and travel to Nuriootpa via Lochiel and Balaklava. Before I headed off from Port Pirie, I went for a short loop around to the east of town to get a final few caches. Once On the way, I made a point of stopping at some of the small towns to squeeze in a cache. Once I had arrived at Nuriootpa and set up the van, I took myself on the Barossa Rail Trail with the scooter for ten interesting caches, although it did begin with a DNF.
With plenty of space for the van, I stopped nearby and wandered over for a quick find here.
Thanks for the cache Tk2

Did a run around Crystal Brook area before going to Port Pirie for a Podiatrist appointment. TFTC
Quick easy find once retrieved from a very tight spot, lucky we had tweezers to get it out TFTC
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. We are enjoying our time travelling SA. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on a geo-guided tour.
Woke up to a chilly morning - hoping it’s going to warm up though. Another day exploring Port Pirie and surrounds with iluvtrekking. Thanks Tk2
Found on on our way back home after a trip to Marree, William Creek and across to Coober Pedy. Took a while to extract but got it eventually! Thanks for the cache Tk2!
Looked for this one based on similar local finds & based on clue - thinking it might have been muggled?!
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.

Unfortunately the container appears to be missing, also had a good search in the wider area, checked hints and previous logs for clues.
No luck for us today. Searched for 10 minutes and then searched a little more. Thanks for bringing us here regardless.
Over visiting family for the long weekend and took the opportunity while they were engaged to do a few caches in the area. Planned to hit the Highway passed Crystal Brook, into Georgetown and back to Crystal Brook. Was an awesome day a variety of hides, some easily found, many took longer than should have. Only a couple of misses.
A nice quick find in between rain drops here. Sign has certainly seen better days. Had the attention of the nearby resident, whom I assume must know that this is here, as traffic down here wouldn't occur too often. TFTC

Post signing of this cache the home owner and his better half nearby drove past, curious of what i was doing... i told him of Geocaching, his missus knew of it and they were satisfied and intrigued aswell.

Nice solo caching day.
Found some great caches, good containers, superb views, workouts, climbs, drivebys, old caches...
and a few mint tins too!
Kept going into the night and early next morning too.
Smaller than expected! A quick find once I groped the sign better!

TFTC a quick drive by with the log signed & dated then put back. What a pity the signage is so hard to see.
When we arrived at GZ we quickly recognised the hide location despite the face of the sign being very badly weathered. The cache was located very quickly. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Tk2 for the cache.
It was the final day of the Quorn Quondam Quest (QQQ) weekend event, and it was a day of some local geocaching around Quorn, geocaching to the Pichi Richi Railway Woolshed Flat Train Station CITO event, a climb with Laighside Legends to Mount Brown, and then traveling back to Adelaide in the evening.
Took a few minutes to find this one, but knew what I was looking for, and so eventually made the find. Cheers Tk2.
Argh nanos! Their frustration lies in the search, and even then when found, the difficulty in logging and rolling. Best characterised as that annoying friend that hangs with your bestie!

This one had us going for a while, but eventually found it. Nice little bit of history, but the sign at GZ is bad weathered and almost illegible. Tftc
Owl thinks the cache might have slipped a little, as it was in an odd place, but was eventually found . There were dead kittens everywhere because it was a nano. You should know better than to place a spawn of Satan in a rural area!

Could not find it. The magnets from the time where there but nothing else to be found
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Passing through travelling for work and decided to make a stop for a break. Pulled in and parked nearby and with the engine running headed to GZ and made a quick find of a very small cache. Took it back to the car to extract and sign log and as usual it takes longer to reroll the log and reassemble than to make the find and sign, but now done. BNSOSBDTNFAEAWSN.

Thanks for the history lesson, if it weren't for caches most of us wouldn't know that these towns had ever existed. Out for the day with Budgie23. TFTC.

After staying in Nuri for a couple of nights, today saw me loaded up and heading to Ceduna before making my way over to W.A. Naturally I stopped to find a few caches along the way.

Hi there Tk2.
We found your cache **"Merriton Post Office"** at 12:48:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 16035).
Our trek today took us from Gladstone, through Crystal Brook and on to Merriton following the "next closest" route plotted by the GPS. Then it was through Wandeeran and Lauriston before heading back to Gladstone using the same method.. On our trek we found a variety of container types. & ended up finding 18 caches with 0 DNF's.
Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
Normally we don't attempt nano caches, as we believe that their usage has become far too common these days, and many are placed in spots (such as this) where a really decent container could have been hidden. It's really sad that hardly anyone attempts to place large, kid friendly caches any more. [?]
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

It was far quicker to find this cache than to extract it from its hidey-hole, or to get the log out and sign it. But it was done.
Nice easy drive by cache just a little drive off the highway
Cache found but had to retrieve a tool from car to retrieve the cache
Logged signed and we were on our way down the road to next cache

Taking muggle sister and a friend to Laura and caching along the way on a beautiful spring day, great to see the sun again.
This was our first stop and took longer than it should have. It was only when I looked from a different direction that I spotted the little blighter.
Thanks for the cache Tk2.

We found this cache as part of a 4 day trip which went from Adelaide to Sceale Bay returning to Adelaide. The purpose of the trip was to remove Freddo was his home location too near the Clipsal 500 track and for us and Freddo to achieve a difficulty 4 1/2 and terrain 4 cache to make us well rounded cachers. The cache we needed to find was located near Venus Bay and we successfully completed this goal early on Friday morning which left us plenty of time to find "just one more". Loved the scenery and having the opportunity revisit this great area Thanks to Tk2 for placing this cache.
Wow. Must have been on this road hundreds of times over 40 years and didn't know this town was here. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. TFTC. TNLNSL.

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia.
Staying in a 'Free Camp' we werent sure what the weather was going to hold for today. Turned out quite magical, with grey thunder clouds overhead but sunshine still shining through.
We visited the towns of Merriton, Redhill, Koolunga, Yacka and Gulnare also Threadgold's Crossing. A busy day and lots of fun exploring, but with sadly 4 DNF's.
Thanks for helping us tour this region by visiting your cache Tk2

I searched well but found nothing, I wonder if the nearby house came looking at what all the strangers were doing?
I didn't find the cache initially, but did find a pen attached to a carabiner clip lying on the ground. I wondered if it was a sneaky cache container, so dismantled the pen to confirm that I was wrong. I placed the pen behind the sign and spotted the real cache container. Yay!
Thanks Tk2.
Thanks Tk2.
Life's too short apparently, so I embarked on a cache run from Crystal Brook to Spalding. 3 roos, 5 rabbits, 23 finds and quite a few DNF's (though that's expected on an unexpected warm night in the country in December). This was a quick find and relatively quick log. 1875-1979, that's a good stint!
A quick find in the rain.... Aussie M & M sheltered in the car.

A bout of Mondayitis inspired Mr M to go caching with Mrs M and a visiting Mogni. A trip to the Mid North was hastily planned. Snowtown recorded the highest windgust in 8 years... and we were probably retrieving a cache at that time. A great day was had despite the weather.
