Today is definitely the day after, the day after the Inaugural Great Cache Crawl. We are pleased to be able to say that we made it from beginning to end and had an awesome time.
Today is a bit of a slower pace.
We all agreed that this was a great cache worthy of a favourite point. Thanks for placing this for us to find.

Today is going to be at a bit slower pace than yesterday. The Inaugural Great Cache Crawl was a great success and made better by pulling it all together on short notice. It was also great to see how many people were able to attend on such short notice. Looking forward to what is to come.
The cache was found without any trouble and the log signed. Great cache, thank you.

After a huge inaugural Great Victorian Cache Crawl yesterday with well over 100 cachers joining the crawl throughout the day, it was time for a more leisurely caching journey today on the way back to Melbourne.
A clever hide at this location which was found after a short exploration of the area. Worth a favourite point for the effort at GZ.
Thanks Flying Platypus for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

So after years... no, months.. no, weeks... well a couple of weeks planning, it's finally the day.
Not sure where this hair-brained idea came from, but stoked RoamingHowie managed to pull it all together.
The inaugural Great Victorian Cache Crawl 2022. Beginning with Saturday's event at 7am in Phillip Island, we'll be travelling via Lang Lang, Cranbourne East, Devilbend Reservoir, Mount Waverley, Altona Meadows and Lara before finishing for dinner in Queenscliff.
Day Three: The Recovery.
Great bit of camo. Great views. A fav point heading your way.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Flying Platypus

Had an inkling! Bingo bango! Managed to locate the prize at GZ quickly. Then it was off to the CITO and Event at St Leonard’s. Perfect day for everything and a far cry from home base in the mountains - hard to believe I was cross country skiing yesterday! Multi missions accomplished in new territory. TFTC and the FUN.
Today we were meeting the Dromaniax for lunch and a quick loop around the Peninsula grabbing a few caches especially a couple of D/T combinations that we need for our next D/T loop.
The D/T level on this one was a big clue on where we needed to be looking. Neville_devil was pretty quick at spotting the hide and a good one it was too.
Thank you Flying Platypus for hide

This pastime never ceases to amaze me. I have been here once before with Geowife for at least half an hour with no luck. Today, I went back for another try & found it in 5 seconds! Go figure! Nice to undo a blue face & turn it yellow. A great hide & favorite to boot. Many thanks!
2 kids rumbling around in the brush but no luck, must be good camo! Will be back again some day.
Must be good camo. Had a long look with 4 eyes & no good. Thanks for the view anyway
After a quiet day pottering around the home, we headed out to the supermarket to do some shopping. Whilst in Drysdale, we decided to look for a couple of caches to continue our streak. We had stopped at a near y multi and had worked out the coordinates for Z, but there was a couple of mules whom we were unlikely to be able to wait out right where we needed to look, so we decided to find this cache instead. We had started to approach this cache via the beach from the Dell, then realised we could approach a lot easier from the road, so we drove around and arrived at the location as it was beginning to get quite dark. Fortunately, we have a high powered TOTT in the geomobile, so we headed to GZ, we looked in all the obvious places, and when they were all exhausted, we changed our point of view. When we had done this, something looked sort of OK but sort of out of place. We checked and soon had the cache in hand. B y this state, it was dark, and the TOTT was our friend. Thank you Flying Platypus for this cache
I visited this hide quite a few years ago now and despite spending quite a bit of time here, and as it turned out in the right vicinity, I couldn't for the life of me find the cache. I was nearby with the family and didn't realise it was this hide until we got out of the car and did wonder how long I could hold their patience for if I had to search as long as last time. Thankfully, this time I had my caching eyes in and spotted something after a few minutes that turned out to be the very clever hide. Nice to turn this one into a found, thanks for the fun hide Flying Platypus.
Looked everywhere around the outlook and under - no success - tan heavy rain started
Really nice hide. Really nice spot. Quiet time of day. Hard not to imagine a situation here which could result in an awkward muggle encounter. Thanks for this one!
Lovely spot to look out. However the cache has fallen and we are unable to sign the log.
Once I got to the correct altitude I set about looking for this much favourited cache.
Alas it was not where it should be, just lying forlornly on the ground. Once signed I restored it to its correct spot. I think I remember a similar sort of hide from this CO many moons ago.
Cheers

Took some time in this one, searching and looking natural for muggles. Luckily I had the 10 year old with me. Fantastic camo at a beautiful view! Tftc
Fantastic here today, no muggles always a plus when you need to look for a cache. The water as calm as a sheet of glass making the views beautiful, a cold breeze to help keep us cool and a well hidden cache, all is good with the world. SL TFTC
A well constructed cache with a great view what else could a cacher ask for. Thanks Flying platypus. Did a TB swap
Finally found this sneaky little cache!! Took me three attempts and a bit of time sitting waiting for other people to leave the look out!! Happy smile on my face today. Great hiding place. Many thanks for the cache. Favourite from me.
Found with teamashy. A beautiful still clear view today! I volunteered her to retrieve the cache. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
Got to GZ and was pleased to see that it was a small and not a micro. Decide that it wasn't in one area so searched another and made an easy find of a good hide. Then, just as I was about to leave, a muggle came along and I had to sit there for several minutes before I could leave!
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Braving the heat we enjoyed a day of caching locally in our home town for a nice change in the company of beckNmonts. Great views were to be had as we searched for this sneaky bugger but unfortunately we could also see the smoke from the Little River fire that the hot strong winds were bellowing on the other side of the bay.
The clever hide was found and our team names added to the logbook. A favourite point added.
Thanks Flying Platypus for the great effort put into hiding this cache for our enjoyment.

Out caching with The_Tritonz today, our aim, after a few puzzles that I had solved but not picked up, was caches that both teams had not found. With the male Triton chauffeuring us in my car (I think I spend more time in the back of my car than the front lately), we headed around town finding cache after cache. Thanks so much for placing this cache, Flying Platypus, for us to find. A favourite point for the great hide!
#2135 And yet another well crafted and camo'd hide from Flying Platypus. Thanks very much.
Found on walking the dog. Spotted as a potential hide and there it was. Sorry had no pen but have a photo I can email you if you want proof. TFTC, fav point for effort and fun in finding.
Down this way with the family visiting friends so we stopped for a quick cache. Wow! Excellent camo. Muggle friend was most impressed! Great views too! Adding a fav point. Many thanks for the cache.
Back for another search today...all I can say is I have extreme cache blindness..I will return another day.
Out for a drive this afternoon.
A short stop here and headed to GZ.
A wander around and then found the cache. Signed the log and returned to where I found it.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Flying Platypus All good with this cache

Out on a beautiful sunny day with au.fait, we returned to this wonderful place for another search. This time with success !! A very sneaky hide, well camouflaged. Thank you for bringing me to such gorgeous views Flying Platypus
I spent ages here last time and I have no idea how we missed it then as I'm sure I looked there thoroughly then. Today I saw it straight away. Must have been having a very bad hair day last visit. Awarding a FP for this well constructed cache. Thanks Flying Platypus
Searched for almost a frustrating hour so added this to my epic fail list. However the beautiful calm and mirror still water was a good antidote to my fruitless search. Thanks for bringing me to this lovely location
Lucky we had the littlest with us today! We had an idea of where it should be, just needed to put our hand on it... Us adults were scratching our head when the littlest gave a shout of hoorah!
Great camo - very sneaky!
Another find by the McPhail family.

Returning home to the surf coast after an afternoon of caching the Drysdale area. Dark now, but this was to be our 500th cache. So with torch out we began the search. Still blowing a gale and threatening more rain we were just able to see the jetties before the light was completely gone.
Great views back toward Geelong as the lights flickered on. Muggle free as well. Who else would be dumb enough to be out in this LOL.
After a good search of the area, the well constructed cache container was brought to hand, Log Signed and High fives by Spook49's to celebrate #500 since August 2016. The start of our Geocaching experience.
Its getting more addictive as we progress along our journey.
A great thanks to Flying Platypus for all your caches discovered today.

Spent 30 minutes looking here today, to no avail. Even after looking through old activity photos, I still had no luck!
Was just about to log this as a dnf when my hubby thought he would have one more look. Great hide
Found a Copenhagen tobacco container with nothing in it... Not sure if it's the cache or not. Container is empty and mostly destroyed . 8 of us looking and that was all we found.
Searched high and low! Will have to come back to this one. The view at sunset was amazing.
Found. Was a nice huntsman when we found cache. Lots or screams and heartattacks
A lovely little spot here. Not much room for parking though.
A quite walk down to the look out and the cache was soon found and the log signed. Nicely hidden so deserves a fav. point.

Awesome hide. I had to cheat and look at activity photos to get this one. Son no 1 found it though in the end though after we had a hint. His second in a row today ! He is having a great day today as usually his siblings beat him to it We found Clifton Springs before we started caching. Its a beautiful spot with an interesting history and if you go to the beach and look carefully you can find spring water bubbling up in the sand at the waters edge. We highly recommend a visit. Thanks very much fot this cache a favourite from us
Pleasant summer's afternoon and why not try a cache after lunching at Drysdale. Parked and proceeded to the lookout. Lovely spot, now to find the cache. Hmm, we are quite slow to find caches, so not surprising to have a neighborhood muggle arrive to warn us about the snake and "had we lost something". Geowife correctly said no, (because we hadn't found it so we couldn't have lost it) and we hadn't seen a snake either. Thought hard about possible spots and gps definitely kept sending us back to one location. Without revealing too much, we were inspired and l made the find. A nicely engineered cache and an excellent gz. Much enjoyed. Nice to trust your reliable coords.
Marshall's Geelong found this cache today,
Easy find, it fell out of place so we adjusted it

Went for a drive around parts of the bay with Geowife and Geodaughter, Posho6 today. We thought we'd see some sites and spend some quality time before school starts back. This cache has great camo but was an easy find for the trained eye of Posho6.

Found after a short look. Very clever camo. Very impressed. Didn't have a pen, so sadly couldn't write. TFTC
have been out here once before with now luck but with reading old logs today was my day. had a good breaky before l came out here so l knew my head and eye would be working when l got to gz and l reckon it paid off lol

The four of us searched for 30 minutes. . . Were about to give up. Then it was found. No spider seen. Tricky find.
Brilliant hide - took 4 of us a while. Black spider still very active! Bill says it's worth double points
This was tricky tricky! Found after a lot of searching and a hint from a fellow cacher. Thanks!
This geo was last found about 3 Months ago so no clues visible. Looked everywhere for about 30 mins to no avail. Gave up to re-collect my thoughts. Went for stroll along beach to get the other geo nearby. Came back with a different strategy which worked. A great hiding place.
Same black spider still there. tftc.

New to the game.. Nearly gave up but curiosity got the best of us. Thanks!! Don't anger the guardian!
An easy find. The cache was laying on the sand. We replaced it in a less conspicuous place.

We found a cache here some years ago - that one must have been archived. But it was delicious to come back today, with the sun shining and the views just stunning!
The dog-walking muggles did not waste any time visiting the look-out or watching the two visitors investigating their environment. Dog muggles sometimes seem to have just one focus: Fido. Suited us perfectly today!
We inspected a few possible spots, pretty sure that a Flying Platypus hide would be something special. And we were not disappointed! Very clever, very crafty! Took us a few minutes to spot. The cache guardian is still in place, he is in a very protected position.
A favourite point from us for the beautiful place you took us to and for the great hide.

This was the first cache I looked at 3 months ago when I started out geocaching and couldn't find anything then. Today I returned and success. This is an excellent hide. Well done Flying Platypus.
Found with Matty.D.
Thanks for bringing me here to claim a smiley.
Gorgeous location.
I love the beach and I love caching, so both in one hit- BONUS =D
It took me a while to make the discovery here, what a wonderfully camo-d cache.
