Out for a work trip and discovering the area, thanks or taking me this area. TFTC
An interesting place to learn some local history. Glad it was signposted or I wouldve thought I was entering private property. Tftc
Harsh times back then and after reading the information board I can see why some people in this country are a tad cranky about how their ancestors were treated and all done supposedly *in the name of "Christianity"*. "Pigs A*se" to misquote a certain Jack Elliott (actually his Rubbery Figures character said this!).
I would have liked to explore the area a bit further however we were on our way to Paynesville for a day trip from home so we had to keep moving. Maybe one day we'll come back and spend more time poking around the area.

Such a beautiful place with such a sad history. Thanks so much for bringing us here. We never would have known it it otherwise.
This is honestly one of the geocaches that most made me go, no seriously, this is out here, really??? and followed by a range of noises that can't be written down but they ranged from disbelief, to interested, to excited schoolboy and then just silence. Then my geokids started asking questions and discussing the information and the board and the cemetery itself. This was a wonderful experience and place that I'm glad I got to see. TFTC and a brilliant experience Poiter.h. I will be back.
Tftc. Found on a lovely day. What a fascinating spot with great information. So grateful that geocaching takes us to fascinating places. Thankyou.
An out of the way place indeed but worth a visit. Interesting what people pegged out by back then.
Thanks indeed

A beautiful day to be out and about. Creek crossing was dry as a jatz cracker so we easily made our way through to the parking area. After locating and signing the cache and log book, we strolled across the bridge and made our way up to the Cemetery. Such a peaceful spot. TFTC
Interesting place although the mozzies were loving my presence. No issue with any creek crossing.

Hi there Poiter.h,
This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **MAY** need some attention.
You may recall having received an automated email from Geocaching HQ which explained what you needed to do.
Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so I am having to take the next step and temporarily disable the cache - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713)
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days so others know exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication kill this cache.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- **Place A Write Note Log:-** Reviewers are not mind readers, so without your note on the cache page telling them what the situation is, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and, when the listing is next checked, all will be fine for a little bit longer. But be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it.
If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date), please ensure you visit this page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks so as to keep everyone up to speed with what is happening.
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another Geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD)

Interesting place to visit and learn the history and culture of the area. TFTC
Out and about enjoying some sight seeing and finding some caches along back roads. Thanks so much for highlighting this historic location that we may not have otherwise discovered. The drive in closer to the cemetery was so beautiful, tree lined with an abundance of bird life. It was lovely to see that the area has been so well protected and preserved. The footpath to the cemetery was under water which was a bit disappointing but it felt respectful to admire from a distance and very special to be this close. TFTC A favourite for the historic location.
Found with geobaby while dads at work, a little difficult to get to with a baby strapped to you in the baby carrier!
After a long wait to get here, we finally made the effort this morning, our first stop for the day as we headed towards Paynesville, caching.
An amazing place you would never know was even in here.
Thanks Poiter.h for the cache placement here.

Thanks Poiter.h for the cache placement here.
This cache was much easier than I expected, as I thought we had a kilometre walk in from where we parked the car, but we were only 35 metres from the cache! It was was an interesting drive in, easy to cross the water over the road, which was relatively low,and natural vegetation by the roadside was the best we’d seen all day. Unfortunately there was too much water over the track to the cemetery we couldn’t get over to that, but cache was much closer and quickly found. There was plenty of good bird life both on the road in and out and around GZ and interesting information boards. We’ll have to come back some time. Thanks for bringing us here. Well worth a favourite point from me.
TFTF, we found this an interesting cache while staying at Perry Bridge, thanks for the interesting information, shame most of this history is disappearing
Very interesting history, forgot our pen today to write on the log but took a photo instead. Thanks again for the education.
What an inspiring cache!
I will strive to learn more to educate myself and then my children
Thank you

#40 find for our 2 Months to Alexandra Event Roadtrip! Found with KrysLazz.
What a fascinating place and important part of history. Paid our respects to the traditional land owners and let our minds regretfully contemplate the injustices and inhumane treatment of Indigenous Australians throughout Australia's history.
We never would have found this place or learned of this mission without the cache, so thank you.

This cache just broke my heart but will give a favourite for raising awareness as to the genocide that has happened in this country. Writing with tears in my eyes. Tftc tnln
Out caching with gws.aussie picking up caches that help with a number of challenge caches. This we picked up as an extra on the way home. gwd.aussie had already found and asked if I had logged this cache. I had not although I had come out this area with gps in hand but was very unsure if I was going onto private property. This time they actually had a sign on the gate.
I quickly found the cache and went to return to the car but had lost gwd.aussie. he was up the hill towards the cemetery then we took time to read the information board back at the carpark - makes you think.
Thanks Poiter.h

On a rainy day we went for a drive. I have never been here and geo hubby who was born locally didnt know it existed. Cache was wet. Put a couple of sheets of stone paper onto another bag and returned ot to its hideing spot. TFTC. Scrappy_1
A lovely out of the way spot. Worth the detour for a bit of thought provoking history.
Couldn't get to the cemetery for the blackberries and spiders. Cache wet from Spring floods I guess. I wonder if anyone ever comes here?

Visited this one a few weeks back and forgot to log, Could not find the log, and before we got into serious looking, our child had an incident with some thorns which ended our search
Seems a long time since the last find. Sure is an interesting drive to get here... took a risk going through an inundated part of the track bit the car seemed okay! The area certainly looks like it's been a long time since visitors though. Followed the clue, but couldn't find anything. The cows came a'running to see what I was up to though!
Lost a lot of blood thanks to the mozzies!! Looked for ages but then geogirl had a " daughter look" and it was found tftc and the history lesson
We took the detour into this interesting sounding cache. We missed the notice on one of the gates and drove through the paddock a bit, I hope the owners didn't mind. We did get there in the end though and were pleasantly surprised by the location and the fact that it has been maintained so well. Didn't spot the mozzies that the previous finders had mentioned, but we were there in the middle of a warm, dry day.
Thanks Poiter.h for bringing us into this interesting location that we would have driven past if it wasn't for the cache.

All will be pleased to hear the mozzies are the size of dragon flies!
Took a little while to locate the cache but for me the chase was way better than the find
Enjoyed the drive in, the cross paddock bash, the history lesson, the scenery and most of all the company of the 4 legged grass eaters in the adjacent paddock who came to satisfy their curiosity
This cache has earnt a favourite from me
Many thanx to Poiter.h

I wonder who visits this cemetery other than cachers? how often do they visit? I wonder what the locals think. A great cache and an interesting bit of history I was totally unaware of.
After being eaten by a zillion mozzies it was located. Thanks for the interesting facts and the find. Found with ornursie72

TFTC found with Sqau Thanks for taking me to a place I had heard of many years ago but would not have been but for the cache
Had to take 3 and a half tonne of floor tiles to a job in Lakes Entrance from Warragul, so I decided to grab some caches along the way. This is a great cache as it takes you to a great bit of history that you just wouldn't see. Sl thanks SNAFU for the cache. Will give it a favourite point.
Amazing! Thank you so much for leading us here. I have traveled the back road to Bairnsdale many times and never even noticed the sign ! Nearly went in to wrong paddock by being so busy looking around that I missed the big sign on the gate saying cemetry! Beautiful, peaceful spot. Took toy trumpet, left soccor rubber. Geokids loved it as did geodog. The ford river crossing is solid enough even after all the recent rain. Loved this +++. Kids found cache while we read all the interesting history.
Another bright and sunny but cool winter's day. Dragons and bears out to grab a few caches around the local area and enjoy the fresh air. We have visited this location before, and since the cache appeared late last year we have meant to revisit. The area is very quiet, beautiful and peaceful, but when you read the history of the area, it is easy to envisage the hardships at the turn of the century. Looking at the list of deaths at the mission, and the reasons given for them, these hardships brought to mind further. The cemetery has the usual air of hidden rural burial sites, but here you also wonder, what happened to the rest of the mission. Where was it and how did the people here live?
The cache was found safe and sound. By the look of the ground, it had only been about 1 metre above the creek level a month ago! That same creek had seemed to limit the number of people coming in to visit this cache. Today the crossing was easily accomplished in the small geo-mobile, not the 4WD version.
Took large peg/clip, Left trumped and a miniature peg. SL. Replaced cache.
TFTC Poiter.h and also for bringing us out here again.

A little bit more history learnt today, well worth the visit. Thanks Poiter.h for bringing me here.
Was in the area so decided to head off the path a bit to grab this one. I'm glad I read the description well and knew where I was going as the road in just sort of stops at a farm! Saw the cemetery sign on the gate so did the rural thing of leaping out, opening, drive through, close it - ages since I have done this! Then drive through the paddock (on the road of course) and go very slow past the sitting cows, most of whom just ignored the car going past! Got to the car park near GZ and had a good look around before starting the search. Quick find today. Thanks heaps to poiter.h for bringing me here.

Nedded to get out and clear the pre christmas head. Jumped on the bike and took a few backroads to GZ. A very interesting area and a name on the board that caught my eye. Cache found safe and dry. TN L-army guy. Thanks Poiter.h for placing a hide here.
On a very wet day we did this cache that I, somewhat disrespectfully, have been calling - Running Amok. Despite the rain sodden track it was easily accessable to get to within a few meters of the cache without switching into 4WD. Some interesting facts once again about how many young children died back in the 1800's. Such a sad place but well maintained. The noisy diesel pump running nearby spoilt the otherwise peaceful surroundings. Thanks Poiter.h for bringing us here.
