TFTC. #465. I am glad I read the description and found the easy way in here. A great secluded spot on the creek. Found the cache in a logical place. The tether is no longer attached as it has pulled off of the cache. The log is dry and in good condition.
Me and my brother spent a good amount of time looking for this, this was mine and his first one ever as it was just close to home, we were so excited once we found it, the little note book that had been there since 2012 had been water damaged so I decided to put another in there aswell. It's no longer tethered but I left it in the same spot I found it after I brang it up and cleaned it.
Log was really wet,. Signed replaced and on to the next. Beautiful spot once you venture in.

Out and about for a few hours with Brother Colin
A bit of a wander across the park brought us to some very long grass, and we thought it was going to be tough to get through, but there's a much nicer way in [^] And what a lovely spot! The hint made me smile, but it's very handy, so made the search easy. TFTC, and for bringing me to this pretty place, Ms Maddy.

Out and about today caching with IolantheK.
We are caching in this area because neither of us has found the caches around here.
Enjoying the travels around the area looking for the caches.
A quick find once we found the way past the long grass.
Thanks for the cache.

!!!!!tftc!!!!! what a lovely spot i was expecting mozzies but none here cache all good but detached from chain . thanks for bringing me here!!!!
There were two voids to fill today - well, actually many, including some nice chocolate for the better half: an empty slot in the caching calendar and some shopping to do in the nearby shopping mega-he[aven|ll]. As it was just me on the road today, combining those was easy.
Oh my goodness what an area on approach! That's a bit posh, so much so that I felt almost ashamed scooting with my small affordable vehicle in between the mansions. Let alone that I don't even own golf course compliant shiny clothes but exited my carriage with muddy joggers and equally spotted outdoors shorts and whatever-saggy-t-shirt, all topped off with that bloody ugly wide-brim hat. It was eery quiet in the neighbourghood - even the birds had stopped singing or outright escaped the estate out of horror.
Regardless it was time to enter the park. Lovely park and well populated with families with kids. Great to see them outdoors playing sports and having good time! [^]
Found my way towards the GZ, noted the entrance near the potential lunch spot - and it was like Narnia: I got transported into another world altogether! Frankly, for the first few seconds I didn't believe my eyes, the contrast was so big. How and why would they keep this hidden from the crowds?
GPSr took me to a promising spot and it was time to start the meticulous search. Up and up we go, touchy-feely but nothing was forthcoming. Time to stand up and see what might be the next good approach. That also was the time my eyes met the prize!
The tether has come loose from the container but it probably is not required these days anyway.
Inside the container everything was in great shape and super-clean. Just the way we like it!
TFTC and thanks keeping this going, Ms Maddy!

I looked for an arch and you know as soon as you do that, all the trees start looking like they are arched. I could not find it, but there were suspicious nails in 2 trees near an arch which lead me to search around there for a while- with still no luck I have given up for now
After finding BrizBlitz, I power walked quickly over here. My brain is very suggestible to song titles and if I see one printed somewhere, I can't help but sing it over and over...
Great advice about the entry point which made life a lot easier. As I got very close, I thought I heard some rustling in the long grass. I stayed very still for quite a while but then made the grab and nothing untoward appeared.
All is cool inside and I enjoyed the contrast between the 'river world' and the much hotter world outside. TFTC.

My first find after being introduced by my friend! It was hidden in my Faviourite spot to play when I was a kid
Team Trost engaged in an intrepid adventure across the causeway and through the Camphor Laurel grove to the spot. Have left it undisturbed and found it via gps. Thanks
Out for the afternoon with OrionJ, took a drive to this one, as he had already found it and thought I would enjoy the find. After pointing out the most sensible way to get to the right side to find GZ I headed there and looked around a bit. After I got the clue that it was tethered I spotted it .... probably not that quickly, haha. As mentioned, it wasn't tethered anymore, but that didn't impact anything. Signed it and returned to the hiding spot. No one much around today, which was good for getting in and out. TFTC! - And thanks to Ms Maddy for maintaining it!

Out and about in the southside today.
I came across the many walking paths in the area.
Some beautiful houses with brick roads abound here.
Headed to GZ and waited while a muggle and little dog pass by.
Then I slip out of sight.
Followed GPS and soon was at GZ.
Signed the log and headed off.
All good with the cache except the glue on the tether is not attached.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks darinoptom for setting it up and thanks Ms Maddy for adopting and maintaining

Seemed to make harder work than was necessary to find this one. Eventually tracked down the right spot and grabbed the cache. Took the TB inside. Tftc
The cache is in good condition and the loose tether will not impact on your experience here.
Please only log a Needs Maintenance when the cache is compromised

The paint with the hook on it has come off the top of the container so the container is no longer tethered to the tree. [A challenging and fun geocache!]
A challenging and fun Geocache! A little hap hazardous but not impossible. Saw another side of town we hadn't been to before.
Out doing a few caches if it wasn't for the hint I would have been lost as the compass went crazy when I got closer to it tftc
Swung by and happy to report that this cache is fine
Coords are good. Tether needs a spot of glue (back soon to fix).
Dropped off a trackable.

The nearby bats were having a wild party when I found this. Confirmed that the tether needs fixing.
Out on the geocycle this morning for a short pedal to find a puzzle cache. This one was not too far out of the way. It was quite cool cycling along the creek most of the way here. The sahde at GZ was bliss. Nice and cool and surprisingly no mozzies at all. Found the cache after a quick hunt.
The cache has come unstuck from it's tether. It will be safe until the next really high tide though.

We Rashleigh three...yay we found it. It is so lovely here. You could sit here for hours.
Looks like I have been a little tardy in getting this log written, somehow it missed making it into my notebook.
I had not actually been in this specific area and had not actually even thought of looking at what was here until Ms Maddy made mention that she was to replace it and was adopting it. Although it still was not actually on my todo list today, after a short visit with Ms Maddy she insisted we (LHE Duo with me) stop on the way home to take a look.
All I can say it is a beautiful spot and very glad that the cache was replaced, as it is very much a spot that deserves a few visitors who will appreciate it for it's beauty.

The cache has been replaced, re-stocked, and re-located to a safer location.
The access point remains the same as instead of turning left, you will turn right.
For your patience there are a few 'shinies' in the cache. Please don't take them all.
Happy trails

Good to see this cache up and running again. It is such an lovely spot. Thanks to Ms Maddy for adopting it.
How can a cacher with no Finds and no Hides put an Archive log on a cache? Curious?
Although I do agree the CO needs to do something about this one.

Any update on this cache and the others currently disabled in the series? Would be great to see them back on line.. [^]
Ghostgums and I were on the correct side of the creek, but didn't find the container. We hunted in all the areas we thought would fit the description and hint, with no joy... I have no idea how high the water came up here, but the sand deposits suggest it was high.
Can I suggest an owner visit to check on this one, as it may have floated down stream...

My GPSr told me to look at an area with 2 big trees, but found nothing. The phone says it was on the other side of the creek, but chose not to cross. Not sure if this was taken by the rain.
We ventured out here in 37 degree heat and suddenly as we descended under the tree canopy it was a cool breeze!! Lovely spot. TFTC.
Twas the 3rd of January - time to get the ball rolling for the year in the caching stakes. My first find for the year
Heeding previous logs about the best approach, I found a good way to get GZ. Even though it was warm, it was pleasant enough on the way to GZ.
What a fantastic and picturesque area GZ is in - hidden behind here. I wandered about for a bit - poking in some suspect places to no avail. Finally my GPSr settled down and I found the cache. It was wet inside - but the log book was dry thanks to Mr Baggie.
I grabbed a trackable that I found in the cache (still not logged - will wait a couple of days) and dropped in another trackable that I have had for way too long. I emptied the cache of water and returned everything to its rightful home.
A nice area - well done. TFTC darinoptom

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 1:00pm. This river has not run dry and trying to find the right access for the cache was the hardest bit. The cache is in good condition. TFTC
Well we better come clean on this one. A few weeks ago, same day as Jimmyproject logged a DNF , Cosmo and I also could not find. We contacted the CO who was very eager for some one to find his first cache.
Before I Could log a DNF he had archived the cache, and was attempting to update the cords. After some communication with Jimmyproject and myself ,our young CO was eagerly taking on our advice and from the reviewer.
darinoptom contacted me to offer to make a second attempt, which I was happy to do, but was unable to claim that prize. Well done Jimmyproject.
Last week Lady Annie Bug and Crew153 had told me of a new cache that was in a wonderful suburban bush/park land area. Ok I thought I will check that one out, not realising I had already been to the area in question.
It was not until I checked it out today that the penny dropped. Ok let's load the new co ords , the old ones already on my GPS
So off Cosmo and myself set, choosing to take an alternative approach , from the original visit. That was our first mistake. The little weir that Crew153 had pictured on his log , now had a steady flow of water over it. Thanks to recent rains.
OH Shite I thought ,wondering off for another crossing . Several hundred metres later and unfamiliar territory ,we turned back to return to the wier. OK I thought that does not look so bad, but Cosmo was
having nothing of it.Tugging at his lead ,my sooky 25kg Labradoodle was carried over the wier to the other side.
Half way across I realised that this was NOT one of my smartest decisions. I could feel the flow getting stronger and some slip under foot. GPS and I phone goodbye and almost time for a swim. My heart rate increased. Thankfully we made it to the other side , applauded by a father and his children, who were perplexed about a dog who does not like water.
Maybe his fall into Enoggera Creek previously , was still firmly in his mind.( see Fairydell log) My shadow was happy to be on solid ground, and so was I.We wondered out into clear mown parkland soon to return to the creek side .Oh oh this is where I failed last time, tree cover . Thankfully the reception held and the co ords were good.
The cache was soon spotted and log book signed. Great effort on a first cache in a very pleasant suburban area. The cache is not totally waterproof ,and has taken on water with recent rains. I drained the cache of water.I really like the container , but would suggest a replacement when possible. In the meantime maybe a zip lock bag to cover the cache. This will not stop condensation, but will reduce the amount of water in the cache.
So a return to the other side of the creek ,was our next issue. I surveyed a likely crossing and waded over to the other side and placed all electronic gadgets on the bank before returning to carry the 25kg Sooky Labradoodle to the other side.
We made it , Lots of fun !!!!!Another geocaching adventure TFTC Darinoptom

Oh Silly me, dementia must be setting in We did log a DNF on the original cache listing.
Parked Sooty near a lovely park and strolled across the grass to the farside. At that point I encountered an impermeable wall of prickly brambles and backed up a step. A shuffle to the right and an entry point was located near a picnic table.... To my relief
A short walk through the fallen leaves brought me to a beautiful, secluded spot flanked by a couple of huge trees. Lots of water and would make a nice spot to sit and think for a while!
Could be a 2 star for terrain as a bumpy walk alongside the creek to GZ?
The cache was grabbed easily and the coords are close enough. I retrieved the TB and will take it to the Wavebreak CITO tomorrow! Left a Remembrance Day token (swag) in its place and signed the logbook.
Happy to recommend this one to others especially families and those with geodogs

My navigator GPS led me to a close spot to park and I took off along the path. 100m from the cache it indicated that I was on the wrong side of the creek. I spotted a crossing point and checked it out but, as I was on a lunch break did not attempt the crossing.
Back to the car and a check of the map indicated another access route so i drove to that and a walk took me to the right area. I searched the obvious spot first and stirred things around but noting was there.
A quick check of the hint and a look around and I soon had the cache in hand.
I dropped in a TB which I had picked up some time ago in the USA.
Such a lovely spot here. It deserved a favourite point from me.
Well done on your first hide. I look forward to finding more in spots like this.

Don't trust your gpsr as we ended up on the wroong side of the creek and even though we were very tempted to try to cross the small weir near GZ, we decided to not tempt fate.
So off we drove to the other side for a pleasant walk across the park. Lucky neighbours.
Great set of trees near the cache and the lovely crunch of dry leaves under foot as we approached GZ.

We had been out caching in Beaudesert today and found this hadn't been found yet. Feeling a little bit sorry for this cache, we decided to give it another go. Third time lucky. The tree cover makes the GPS jump around abit but if you stick to the clue and wait for the GPS. The co-ords this time around are pretty good.
Once you get into the right area, it is a nice little area with a creek to sit by and some very awesome trees that look ripe for climbing. There are a few small problems with the cache, but we will talk to the CO offline. TFTC
