This morning we headed down the Nile to collect a few caches. It was a lovely country drive our favourite sort of Geocaching. All caches were found easily and in great condition. Big stretch to reach this one TFTc Tassie Trekkers, this is a lovely part of Tassie
Thanks, we found it, but not in good condition, all wet, probably needs replacing. Beautiful views!
Tftc! The cache itself had a lot of water in it and the log is also wet - could use replacing
Well we are wending our way home after a three day sabatical at Scamander with family. Weather has been kind, even on top of South Sister where the views are fantastic and the bonus was a couple of caches. So now we are taking the scenic route back to the north west via Mathinna, Blessington and Deddington on a bit of a geo trail. the hide becomes obvious as one approaches, and once again no vehicles to contend with, so idled at GZ whilst Mrs rhubarbroad did the retrieving and replacing, then off to the next one ! Yeeh Haah !
Heading to the North West for a long weekend and given this cache is the only one in this area that we are yet to find we decided to take a long divert to collect it along the way and we are very glad we did.
We were wanting to avenge the dnf from last time, the reason it was a dnf was because we were here at the end of spring and the grass was very high, almost man height and as we approached we saw something move, so we thought it to be very snakey . Today was a totally different story almost a classic park and grab. The only surprise was the amount of farmer traffic that was around today. Friday must be their day to do their running around .
Happy to turn this cache into a yellow smiley. TFTC

Easy find. Great find. Thank you for the cache from GeoMaggie and her sidekick Bonnie. And Angus
Found with GeoMaggie2 , stamped and replaced, with Maggie and Mollie, my GeoWesties, while roaming around Tasmania with our motorhome “Mylittlebus” looking for content for our TASMANIA ALL OVER facebook. Join us there. Thanks for placing this cache (and others), keeping us on our exploring toes.
Quick find while touring this remote area, and as an aside, an introduction to Glover Country. Cache is good condition. TNLN. Thank you for adding to the reasons to examine this historic piece of Tassie
Thanks for the cache Tassie Trekkers.
Day 1 of a short trip up north with RLD4963. As the weather was looking OK we decided to head to Ben Lomond today. We found this cache on the way. Looks like the grass has been mowed since the last visitor so we could access the cache pretty easily.

out and about with Lil Rafa caching for the work days. easy find with clues. TFTC TNLN log dry. a new place I have not seen before.
Long grass. Then as I started search something moved inside. So discretion took over
Found it but by gosh it was well hidden under there. I placed it back but nowhere near as far under.
Just on another family adventure for the day and thought we would tackle all the catches on the way up the Mt. TYFTC
We saw some amazing deer on the way home was a great day
We where happy to end on this one with the moon coming up the sun setting and happy to find a trackable.
Thank you for for maintaining catchy.

Had no service on the phone so wasn’t sure how I’d go but seen a sign that I thought would be a likely spot to hide got out had a look and with some luck found it
This cache marks find 107 for the Fabulist crew
Thank you to the owner of this cache, while there isn't really much room to pull over for this one. we enjoyed stopping for this cache while muggles drove by in their 4x4's wondering why we stopped. But all was good and they continued on their way.
The crew being Me Mummy, Daddy (SiNr88) Master almost 14 (Blackers1) and when geocache had a glitch and I accidentally logged in using Facebook Miss almost 2 gets (Ozbull)

Just realised that if we can find just a few more caches before the new year that 2019 will be our best caching year so far so out and about to find some more before the deadline. A quick find when we reached GZ, very quiet here on a very warm new year's eve. TFTC
Hello Tassie Trekkers thank you for the cache.
We were on our way back from a car rally, so stopped off to find some of the caches that we didn't find on out last trip up here.

Hi Tassie Trekkers, thanks for this cache, one of three stops in close succession, and a nice quick find in the obvious spot.
This was one of our drive-by/park'n'grab caches found today with AlbyDangles. Thanks for all your caches in this area.
Was up this way today on a control point for Tassie's round of the Australian Rally Championship, with AlbyDangles and (his) AmazingDaughter.
A great day with great company, a nice fire, excellent food cooked on the nice fire, good mountain views, and some caching on the way home.

This cache I guessed where it was going to be before I even checked my GPS, glad that I didn't drive by it and got to stop in time with this one. TFTC.
Found the cache out in the paddock, so had to jump the fence and collect it. Moved it back under.
Another good day out in the 4wd for a morning adventure around deddington. I have ridden the road bike along the gravel road over to blessington but have never been way up the back on the gravel road. Some pretty specky spots.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 5000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

Hi there Tassie Trekkers.
We found your cache **"Deddington Plains"** at 1:39:00 PM today. (This brings our total find count to 18532).
The original plan today was to log a random cache some distance from our camp site, and then find a few more caches using the "next closest" method. We then logged "Ben & Back" & thought why not - we will do that instead - - and we had a great day!
We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes on our journey & found 15 caches (& DNF'd 0).
###Thanks for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema here. Once upon a time caches seemed to be "regular" sized, and well stocked with goodies for kids to swap. Nowadays it seems like every other cache is small and devoid anything to induce children to enjoy the hunt. It made us feel really good to find this cache in a "special" place.###
Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places to visit on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Well there was really only one place this could be. I cautiously put my hand on there hoping ONLY a cache would come out and nothing else that might want to bite me. Thankfully I got what I wished for. I stayed down low and signed the log and then replaced it before getting up. Oh my knees! I waited for the egg to bring the car back onto the road so I didn't have to walk through the long grass again. Onward to the river. Thanks for another one Tassie Trekkers
A nice easy cache to find. Looking at the pic on the cache page it doesn't look like that ATM. Pretty dry. TFTC Dooghan
Number 4, another quick find.

Wacky hit the anchors and I cached the cache. The bus could have been a few cm closer but I guess practice makes perfect
Thanks to Tassie Trekkers and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

On a maintenance run today checked on this one - dried it out and replaced zip lock bag.
Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
We missed visiting Ben Lomond when in this area last year so it was on the list before we board the ferry back to the North Island.
Beautiful weather for enjoying the drive in the countryside today.

We've now only got five weeks left of our six month stay (til the end of March '16) from the Kurrajong area, (Blue Mountains) NW of Sydney, to tour in the caravan and also visit our kids and grandkids in the Huon Valley On four previous visits before this visit, we were muggles, so we're having fun finding the caches we didn't even know were here!

Well that's an impressive stump and lovely plains view. With pulses of wind over and across the fields, reminded me of waves across a bay.. thanks..!!
Looks like a while between visits. Glad we could bring it out for the sun for a few minutes
Out on a night cache hunt, quick find with just the phone GPS and no internet access for description or hints.. Quick find.

Well this one posed quite an unexpected problem. We could see the original hide quite clearly but the cache had moved (presumably washed there by heavy rain) and it could not be reached from either side of the stump so aus2 had to climb through the fence to retrieve it. We put it back to where I’m sure it would have been placed but more rain could possibly move it again. Thank you for the cache.
Not quite as green as it was in 2012 hereabouts but still picturesque, even though light is dimming. And yep, logbook is decidedly on the damp side. Managed to sign but mould is starting to appear.
What a strange name for an area!
Having finished the TTAI series earlier than we expected we were able to detour off the Midlands Hwy [which is cached out for us] and tackle the ones in this area.
This was a quick find. The log was a little damp but still okay at this stage. Thanks.

The farmer was on the tractor working up the paddock...maybe getting ready for next year's poppies? There were a few other vehicles way up on the other side of the paddock but I couldn't see if there were people there or not. I waited till the tractor was out of my line of sight before making the grab and putting it back. Gee, it was green in your photo. Thanks Trekkers.
Found with TassieGirl13 while down from Queensland on holidays.
We’re enjoying our tour through the countryside here on our way home after visiting Ben Lomond today.
Old mate farmer was ploughing his paddock as we pulled up here so we had to wait for him to do the return run before reaching in and grabbing the prize.
A good distraction was taking photos of the big old dead stump while waiting for him.

Our trip around Tassie saw us in and around the beautiful area of Evandale, Longford and Perth. On a nice day we started early after staying at the free camp area in Evandale.
A nice easy find in a nice area. A quick scratch around had the cache in hand.

Poppies have gone will reassess placement but for now back up and ready for finds.
Our GPS did not register this as disabled and as the poppies have now been harvested we thought we would be ok to look for this one.
Disabling due to poppies in nearby paddock. Weren't there at time of placement.
