This morning we headed down the Nile to collect a few caches. It was a lovely country drive our favourite sort of Geocaching. All caches were found easily and in great condition. Third find of the morning this one took me a bit longer to locate but got there in the end once I noticed the concrete. TFTC Tassie Trekkers
TFTC. Cache and contents are in excellent shape. Love the wall and the river is really flowing after all the rain
Checked on a maintenance run through the area, replaced log book and zip lock bag.
Well we are wending our way home after a three day sabatical at Scamander with family. Weather has been kind, even on top of South Sister where the views are fantastic and the bonus was a couple of caches. So now we are taking the scenic route back to the north west via Mathinna, Blessington and Deddington on a bit of a geo trail. Another wet one I'm afraid, but quickly found and replaced whilst avoiding the assorted carcases and other rubbish. aren't people disgusting ! TFAC on this road.
A bit hard to find us we had no comms and hadn’t thought to look at the hint. Thanks for the cash. Cache.
Thanks for the cache Tassie Trekkers.
Today was Day 1 of a short trip up north with RLD4963. As the weather was looking good we decided to make our way to Ben Lomond this afternoon. We found this cache on the way - we used the hint for this one, which made it a very nice quick find. Thanks for placing the cache here - we enjoyed our drive around Deddington.

Just realised that if we can find just a few more caches before the new year that 2019 will be our best caching year so far so out and about to find some more before the deadline. Always wary of rock walls on hot days but no dramas here. TFTC
#2 find on the reminiscing drive. We stopped here then realised we didn't have any phone service so went back 500m and got the details we needed. Drove back and made a quick find. SL TFTC Tassie Trekkers.
An interesting wall along the banks probably built to help keep high water off the road. TNLN TFTC!
Hi Tassie Trekkers, thanks for this cache, this is great country, and a beautiful river.
This was one of our drive-by/park'n'grab caches found today; by and with AlbyDangles. Thanks for all your caches in this area.
Was up this way today on a control point for Tassie's round of the Australian Rally Championship, with AlbyDangles and (his) AmazingDaughter.
A great day with great company, a nice fire, excellent food cooked on the nice fire, good mountain views, and some caching on the way home.

Hello Tassie Trekkers thank you for the cache.
We were on our way back from a car rally, so stopped off to find some of the caches that we didn't find on out last trip up here.
This one was a quick find thanks to the hint.
Isn't it a lovely spot.

Checked on a maintenance run - removed a micro throw down that contained a scrap of paper - not our cache placement. Our placement is still in position and is a cammoed fruit container. Have updated hint. GPS needs to settle here.
Took a bit of searching but finally found it
Another good day out in the 4wd for a morning adventure around deddington. I have ridden the road bike along the gravel road over to blessington but have never been way up the back on the gravel road. Some pretty specky spots.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 5000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

Hi there Tassie Trekkers.
We found your cache **"On the Nile"** at 1:35:00 PM today. (This brings our total find count to 18531).
The original plan today was to log a random cache some distance from our camp site, and then find a few more caches using the "next closest" method. We then logged "Ben & Back" & thought why not - we will do that instead - - and we had a great day!
We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes on our journey & found 15 caches (& DNF'd 0).
###Thanks for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema here. Once upon a time caches seemed to be "regular" sized, and well stocked with goodies for kids to swap. Nowadays it seems like every other cache is small and devoid anything to induce children to enjoy the hunt. It made us feel really good to find this cache in a "special" place.###
Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places to visit on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

We parked nicely off the road and found a path and just knew it had to be right here. We searched and searched then checked the GPS and it was pointing 8m away but we were 'in de Nile' so kept searching where we were. Eventually we got fed us and moved 8m away to where it was pointing and guess what, we found another path. and there was a cache right there where it should be Now to pop along to the bridge
Quick find next to a fast flowing Nile River. Top fishing no doubt...Tftc Tassie Trekkers...cheers ST.
Out and about exploring the area. A little warm in my motorbike jacket. What little water in the river was starting to looking inviting. Easy as to find. TFTC Dooghan
Cache number 5 for the day, after a good rummage among the rocks we found what we hoped was the container. It had a log of sorts so we signed it.
I signed the log while the kids played in the river.
This cache was hunted, tagged and released by activehunters tftc.

Nearly missed it but found the container in the end. We added a new piece of paper as the other one had fallen to pieces. Now all good to go.
Thanks to Tassie Trekkers and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

On a maintenance run today checked on this one and it is still there surprisingly after the recent floods.
Many thanks FelixII for replacing cache and adding swaps we appreciate it vey much. You guys are amazing
Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
We missed visiting Ben Lomond when in this area last year so it was on the list before we board the ferry back to the North Island.
Beautiful weather for enjoying the drive in the countryside today.
We found the old cache but it was broken so we replaced it with a slightly bigger container and added some swaps.

We've now only got five weeks left of our six month stay (til the end of March '16) from the Kurrajong area, (Blue Mountains) NW of Sydney, to tour in the caravan and also visit our kids and grandkids in the Huon Valley On four previous visits before this visit, we were muggles, so we're having fun finding the caches we didn't even know were here!

What a great little spot, quick cache find. Stopped and made a coffee as we watched the river gurgle by.
TFTC. Take a fav from us.

As per the previous log, the wall had collapsed a little making the cache impossible to extract. Employed my dry stone skills to deconstruct and rebuild to leave it in better shape then when found.. thanks..!!
If the lid is orange then we found it but can't retrieve as the rocks have moved and only way to get it out is to disassemble wall - too jammed in. TFTC
Out on a night cache hunt, quick find with just the phone GPS and no internet access for description or hints.. Quick find.

The path takes you to a very pretty spot on the river, but what a shame to see all the rubbish that has been dumped here. Small hands are needed to retrieve the cache. Well hidden. Thank you for this one.
Sorry, we're not, repeat not, CITOing out some-one's mouldy discarded matress, OK? Clearly, as others have said, a lovely spot if not for aforesaid rubbish. Honestly, what's wrong with people these days? Found the cache safe & sound though. Well hidden.
A quick find although the container took a bit of extracting from its hidey hole. Thanks.
Beautiful little spot, pity somebody treats it as a rubbish dump. River raging today after lots of rain. Love the stone wall, someone has put a lot of effort into it. TFTC.
Just a perfect river and an equally good hide, thanks again TT for this hide, SL, TNLN, TFTC
Tftc pretty place

That looks like a very old wall. Interesting little spot. Thanks Tassie Trekkers.
Found with TassieGirl13 while down from Queensland on holidays.
We’re enjoying our tour through the countryside here on our way home after visiting Ben Lomond today.
What a cool rock wall, we wondered if it had any significance or whether it was convict built?

Our trip around Tassie saw us in and around the beautiful area of Evandale, Longford and Perth. On a nice day we started early after staying at the free camp area in Evandale.
A nice easy find in a nice area. A quick scratch around had the cache in hand. BEWARE European wasps are in nearby dumped mattress.

What a beautiful little spot this is. The river is crystal clear. We were hoping we might see a platypus, but since it was the middle of the day, we didn't see anything.
Got a prickle in the arm. TFTC! SL. TNLN.

Good hints but I let Choppersrule reach in to retrieve the cache. Must come back when the temperature is in double digits or even hot summer. RFTC
wooooo hoooo my 300th find glad i was tall to reach this one sorry greyrod us tall people are just too cool lol. great days caching with greyrod T.F.T.C
Cache was quickly locatted but my arms were a bit too short so I made Swampy reach through the prickly stuff to retrieve it from its hidey hole. I reckon it would be a great spot on a hot day to just lie in the deep pool and cool off. Thanks for the cache
Lovely spot beside the river! Cache found by TimTam and extracted by me.
TNLN thanks for the cache

As we arrived at GZ we were wondering about the object mentioned in the hint - was it really there? Then we got out of the car and we could see sections underneath foliage. We then found the path. That made us wonder who had built this wall and path and why. It was certainly very pleasant down by the river today - a very peaceful location. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of the cache in a good hide. The cache and its contents were in good condition. TFTC Tassie Trekkers.
Wowsers!! How clear is the water here?? Must return some time with my fishing rod. TFTC
