This was our last find of the day whilst on the way back to Evandale from Ben Lomond. Geohusband enjoyed all the farms around here and gave me a running commentary on hay, pivots, lambs, sheds, machinery, cattle etc the entire afternoon. He is supposed to be. Retired Farmer TFTC Tassie Trekkers
TFTC. Cache is in excellent shape. Quick find at GZ it is now a beautiful sunny day
What a lovely piece of Rural Tazzie here between huge hills. I was Muggled outta this one Hardcore by many a Bovine. They didn't seem to mind me searching for this hide. Luckily for me it was a quick find coz the Danger Noodle threat on this sunny warm day made me kinda nervous here. No Wriggly Sticks were encountered thankfully.A few of the Muggles were moo-ing at their highest decibel range ha ha SL back at the GeoMobile at 11:08 on Tuesday 19 December 2023.The cache and contents are fine and dry.TFTC Tassie Trekkers
Hopefully the farmer on the quad bike didn't get themselves stuck in the mud they were playing in when we found this one. Tftc
Well we are wending our way home after a three day sabatical at Scamander with family. Weather has been kind, even on top of South Sister where the views are fantastic and the bonus was a couple of caches. So now we are taking the scenic route back to the north west via Mathinna, Blessington and Deddington on a bit of a geo trail. found with accurate co-ords, and being a quiet day, no traffic ! All in good nick here thankyou TT's for another one.
I did find this cash. But I feel that it is very dangerous it’s very overgrown you need secateurs boots and gloves and be prepared to push back even though it’s not that far off the road
out and about with Lil Rafa caching for the work days. easy find with clues. TFTC TNLN log dry. a new place I have not seen before. achooo achooo lots of grass and blackberries here.
With Tillie. TFTC. Found on our TASMANIA ALL OVER journey. Join us on Facebook page of that name.
Just on another family adventure for the day and thought we would tackle all the catches on the way up the Mt. TYFTC

Touring Tassie in our motorhome and finding some caches along the way with scotjohnos. Today was roaming around the Ben Lomond area. TFTC
TFTC quick find on our way to Evandale for lunch after going to Ben Lomond with Stopalot
We're currently spending a week or so in Launceston for a little bit of an end-of-year getaway - well, more a start of year holiday now! Happy new year!
Today's main event was a visit to Tasmania Zoo, always a fun outing with the family while in that area! As is usually the case when out and about in Launceston, SonOfSteel tagged along for the ride - and for a couple of caches!
After arriving back in town with a few spare hours up our sleeve, we figured we might go for a bit of a drive out towards Blessington and pick up a couple of caches along the way.
As with the others in the area, definitely quite the scenic spot! We've had a great time exploring the area, definitely worth the detour from Launceston!
Thanks for another fun cache!

Just realised that if we can find just a few more caches before the new year that 2019 will be our best caching year so far so out and about to find some more before the deadline. mr sharnie's tribe used his grabby tool to get this one out of the blackberries without doing himself any damage. TFTC
Found it 10 December 2019, Geocaching app doesn't upload offline log anymore TFTC
Found this cache while out for a drive, had to brave a few prickles to get it but soon had the log in hand
A day out visiting the Ben Lomond area sightseeing and caching.
Easy find but beware of the thorns on the berry vines.
More great views from here.

Out for cache with gridge98, quick stop and find and more amazing views of this beautiful area. TFTC
I had expected this on to be at the top of the hill so I had to backtrack to make the find. Views were great today with beautiful clear sunny skies. TNLN TFTC!
Hi Tassie Trekkers, thanks for this cache, and the views. This was a nice quick one, and another of our drive-by/park'n'grab caches found today; by and with AlbyDangles. Thanks for all your caches in this area.
Was up this way today on a control point for Tassie's round of the Australian Rally Championship, with AlbyDangles and (his) AmazingDaughter.
A great day with great company, a nice fire, excellent food cooked on the nice fire, good mountain views, and some caching on the way home.

Spending the afternoon with mum for mother’s day doing some geocaching, nice quick find TFTC
This seemed to be a recurring theme for my geocaching today, I drove straight passed this cache, had to turn around, then find somewhere I could re-turn around and find somewhere to stop and find another cache, this one was getting a bit overgrown with blackberries but easily located and the logbook signed. TFTC.
A quick find with goose and the toolman and we were soon off again heading towards the main meal of the day
Thanks for the cache.

Checked on a maintenance run - cache is still in position - replaced ziplock bag
Actually Did Not Try. Have seen snakes today, looked at the high grass and shook our heads. Could see where it would be.. sorry !
Today we decided to visit family in Launceston and turned off the Midland Highway just past Conara to gather a few caches in the Deddington/Blessington/White Hills area and this was one we found. A great view and a very pleasant rural drive. It was mid morning and the frost and ice hadn't melted. Small ponds of water were still frozen solid! All good at GZ. TFTC
After Ben Lomond National Park I was bound for Hobart and I decided to go the more rural route . After finding and logging this cache I started my long ride on gravel roads until hitting the Midland Hwy again . Thanks for this experience and of course

I'm trying to fill in all those empty days on my geocaching calendar this one fills in today.
It's great to be able to travel those little back roads in areas that make you feel a million miles away.
The blackberries weren't very friendly though.

Hi there Tassie Trekkers.
We found your cache **"Castle Hill"** at 10:17:00 AM today. (This brings our total find count to 18523).
The original plan today was to log a random cache some distance from our camp site, and then find a few more caches using the "next closest" method. We then logged "Ben & Back" & thought why not - we will do that instead - - and we had a great day!
We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes on our journey & found 15 caches (& DNF'd 0).
Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places to visit on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

We argued here. It was all about the view. I liked the view east to the mountains. The egg liked the view west with the sunlight filtering through the trees. After we agreed to disagree I went to fight the blackberries for the cache. Only one got me but I got the cache so I consider that one all. We were really enjoying the drive out here, both thinking this was a new road to draw on our map. Thanks Tassie Trekkers for making us stop and take in the great views
Quick find with great views at gz. Many thanks for the cache Tassie Trekkers...cheers ST.
Easy find after a poke through the blackberries. Thanks for the cache. Nothing taken, a trackable was left.
Pulled up at GZ and said to myself "ooh no". The GPSr was pointing at the blackberry bushes. Well I found my way in and sure enough it was just under the bush. So carefully I pulled it out and signed the log. TFTC Dooghan
Some say 'carstle', but real bonny lasses say it proper like!

Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
We missed visiting Ben Lomond when in this area last year so it was on the list before we board the ferry back to the North Island.
Beautiful weather for enjoying the drive in the countryside today.

Quick find, but not so easy to remove as the blackberries are claiming it, TFTC
We've now only got five weeks left of our six month stay (til the end of March '16) from the Kurrajong area, (Blue Mountains) NW of Sydney, to tour in the caravan and also visit our kids and grandkids in the Huon Valley On four previous visits before this visit, we were muggles, so we're having fun finding the caches we didn't even know were here!

Oww, oooh, oowww, ouch, blackberrys, and brambles. Ouch. Who pays the danger money. Thanks for the scratches. Seriously it wasn't that bad just had to be careful. TFTC
Lovely rural views in this rather special part of the world. Had to fight my way into the cache as GZ is being rapidly swallowed by blackberry, managed to come out unscathed .. thanks..!!
Another cache grateful to see the sun and warm up. Quick one to find in beautiful countryside. TFTC

On reaching GZ we thought twice as to whether we would get this cache or not as it was surrounded by very long dry grass and lots of very prickly blackberry canes. Sleeves were pulled right down and gloves were put on and after the area was carefully poked with a long stick the cache was retrieved. Thanks for another cache out here.
Mr Beetle made a quick dash to grab this one in the rain. It was nice to sit and wait in the warm van. Thanks.
What a great view from here, Took gnome left Hero TB to be moved along, SL, Thanks TT for this cache
Area where GPS indicated was all burnt out from a fire. Had a cacher with me who had previously found this cache. So can CO please check. Beautiful area, lots of cows giving us a chorus.
Found with TassieGirl13 while down from Queensland on holidays.
A quick find for us on our way home after visiting Ben Lomond today.
