Good Day,
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Looking forward to hearing from you,

The Geowife is spending the weekend at a friend's place on the Central Coast, and they'll be doing various crafty things. I gallantly offered to drive her up there early in the morning (her friend will be driving down on Sunday anyway so she can get a lift home).
So, what to do with the rest of my day?
Well, given the fact I've cleared out most of the caches closer to home (ie only the new or can't find / solve are left) any day I can cache well away from my normal haunts means I can go for numbers. Decided to start where I was, work my way to The Entrance and then back down the coast.
Was hoping to make my 4300 milestone but just fell short - two longish DNFs saw to that. But I'll take 23 finds gladly. Even grabbed a puzzle I solved on the fly.
Very enjoyable day - except the first DNF. Must come back up this way again soon.
But so many logs to do...
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
And here was the second long DNF.
Took a long and T3/3½ route, especially a 10 metre stretch as I closed in on GZ - and definitely not recommended in high wind.
At GZ as other have noted, there is a smell and clearly some overflow in the past - not getting down on the ground searching for this.
And a 30 foot white pipe is definitely there.
Checked close to the pipe, and the trees nearby - nothing. Hmmm.
Checked a few logs - and yes, one area does seem likely. So went there and started looking.
Didn't spot it.
Kept looking for way too long before giving it up.
Now willing to say it's gone, but this really isn't a pleasant place to search.
Of course took the obvious D1½ way back - which pretty much took me all the way back to the car.

We had a fair idea of what the GZ would be. Seeing it was only about 50m in from the road we bush bashed in which was not too bad. Again the GPSr had us at one spot but the geosenses said another close by and we soon made the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.
TFTC!
Nice walk along the well cleared path with a quick find at GZ.
Found with Shellumbus and Cletus ourgeohound.

Yukkie place, no idea where to start looking without standing in sewer spillage. Yuck.
Once again too hard to bush bash with a stubborn dog and needy 7 year old son in tow. Will try another day when my hands are not so full.
So much sewer around GZ why put a micro in the bush?
This is a health hazard sending geocachers to a sewer access pit that has recently spilled and leaving untreated raw sewer for us to tread in looking for the " micro"
Thank you for nothing

After finding a close by cache in the same area, I kept walking to this cache. Took me awhile as the GPS was pointing everywhere. I decided to forget it and go with my instincts and voilà! When back home, after a refreshing shower, I extracted a tick from the back of my head.. How this little thing can hurt so much? Well, that's all part of it
Given that my most recent black snake encounter was in a swamp yesterday, the terrain here had me super nervous. Found it though. Yay! Reduced the level of cover as it was well buried. TNLN TFTC
After finding the stink pipe and wading in knee deep water !!! Did not find this BIG? one
First I tried a direct approach from the main road, that didn't work, so I drove around to the playing fields and made my way to GZ through some nasty bushland, only to see that there is an easier way...
Once at GZ I climbed onto the sewer pit cover and gave the pipe a rattle, that was a waste of time, where could it be, how about over there? YES, there it was, neatly tucked away.
Here is a helpful hint for others coming this way, start at the SW corner of the main oval, look for the 'stepped' black fence, walk behind it towards GZ for a slightly easier walk.

Found 12:06 pm. I had been out to look for this one the weekend before with Rhyssa6. But we approached it completely wrong by looking for the shortest way in and what was terrain 3 turned into 4.5. But we did reach GZ and I started to look around. I did have one particular spot that I thought was likely where the hide was and I checked even moving debris away and a bit of a root around. However due to all the time bush bashing and it being dark our torch power and GPS power was coming to an end. We had to make a call to leave as we still didn't have a better way out. After looking around we believed we found the remains of a track and slowly made our way out.
I decided today would be an opportunity to try again along with talking to the CO who decided to come too with the view to do what maintenance might be required. This time we came in the back the way I went out last time a much longer approach but certainly doesn't have the same nightmare we encountered last time. Arriving at GZ I went to the spot that I was searching last time and the CO confirmed that's where it should be after now looking in daylight there still wasn't anything apparent. The CO finding this perplexing started to dig deeper in and then a hint of what has happened, it had been swallowed. After a little difficulty lifting it back out I then had the fun of signing a find. I think I earned it still. The CO has now fixed the issue so the cache won't disappear out of sight.
Thanks for the cache.

Doc, I think this one needs to be checked since it appears everyone who has looked, hasn't found (or more specifically logged) this cache since your last visit.
Unable to find. Got to gz after fighting way thru scrub. Area wet, searched but could not find
After having logged DNFs on several other caches in the area this morning, I thought I'd complete my day by DNFing this one too. My GPSr led me to a concrete cylinder thing in the ground with a long piece of white PVC pipe sitting over a star picket, and a survey peg a few metres away, but everything else looked like bulldozer detritus. Again the camo has defeated me.
Had a very thorough bash here to no avail today. Saw about 5 or 6 spots that looked pretty great in the vicinity of the pipe but alas, no luck. Leant the white PVC pipe against a tree as a signifier of our visit. IMO would really benefit from some new clues relating to new location, whatever the cache container is, etc. As it's clearly not as obvious as it once was. Werent sure if we should we getting waist high in the untrodden bush around the pipe etc. Frustrating!
OH, also, on the way in we saw two additional stink pipes. Assumed these weren't related as they're nowhere near the marker?
On doing cache check today, its become very obvious council has pretty much bulldozed a way in for inspection purposes, or even worse perhaps a road beside the creek. At any rate GZ has had to be moved and the actual white pipe is no more. The concrete drain was general GZ, the hide is now much more secured (I hope) for future finders. I found the container on the ground strangely...don't know how you missed it xPhenoms.[?]
The area is still susceptible to flooding, no changes there. Will keep the cache name for now, unless someone complains.

We called in here on the way to DOC-WHO's event, particularly as it has been very dry lately. After a short walk through open bush from what seemed to be the best access, I was surprised to find a highway bulldozed recently right up to GZ. The long white pipe has been knocked over but the cache was not disturbed and is still dry inside. Thanks to the DOC for the hide, it certainly is a lot easier right now, I'm glad we waited.
Square in from the main road looks the shortest approach. NOT. I learnt that one. After fighting through impenetrable scrub, I came out to a cleared GZ which happened to be under 150mm of water. Signed the log then followed Sui the cache hound out the a nicely prepared track toward the home of the round ball. TFTC.
Found it.
Looks like workers have recently done maintenance on the only track in as a lot of bush has been cut down.
Nice hide.

After doing around 5 hours of bush bashing yesterday and 3 hours the day before, both without any trails at all, today was to be rest day. When I got so close to this one I figured I should attempt it. Thought I found a track in after it led me a while but it suddenly disappeared. The bush bashing began and I was regretting making the decision to attempt such a find.
Along my travels were a number of dead trees which had fallen over and at times were useful but other times were a hindrance. I finally spotted the two white markers another cacher had mentioned and then the final white marker which was unmistakable and attracted my attention. I had a closer look and the cache was quickly in hand and signed. The dry conditions were perfect as there were no smells or swamps to battle with.
The co-ords used in a previous log were spot on! Cheers!
TFTC cheers

Well ... after reading some of the other logs I'm glad I attempted this cache when things were dry! I didn't find much of a path anywhere, either on the way in or out. It was pretty much a slog right through the bush for me, and with shorts and sandals I have a few scratches to show for my efforts. All good fun though!
I'm wondering if I found the right cache though, it was a bison very close to the white pipe, and there were NO other names on the log. Maybe Doc-Who has recently replaced the log sheet? Anyone, signed the log in the FTF box
I didn't smell anything bad, but due to the bushy terrain I'm glad I didn't try to bring my wife or 11 y.o. son to this cache. Thanks for another adventure DOC-WHO!

After making my way back to the oval from the last cache, I saw this one only 250m away (approx) and thought lets do it... Didn't start too bad and only got worse... Glad it is dry. Bush bashed my way to GZ only to be guided into a vine/branch cave...? Stepped away from there to find a pair of white marking posts??? Saw a set of alternative coords to try in a recent log and bingo...!!! No you won't miss that...!!!

This one was a stinker. Well established trail followed in and decided to go with the GPS cords (unlike the previous find at the nearby bridge). Saw the pipe but the GPS took me further in. Luckily no water about today. Searched and searched, let the GPS settle to 0 error. Nothing here but a well trodden area, presumably by previous searchers. Gave up and headed back to the car when something clicked - better have a closer look. And there it was, about 15 metres or so from GZ, although not what I would call a bison tube. I've used these containers before and happily emptied them of the M & Ms therein. Not a particularly nice place to be so once log was signed I scampered. Thanks DOC-WHO
Found after a lot of bush bashing. Not recommended with kids. No pen in cache. dead water rat in pipe. Def. not a favourite cache.
Please also note that the changing environment has forced me to move this cache no more than 1metre away. So PAFs may not help anymore.

I thought I had found the most likely entrance to the area from Google Earth, so that's where I began my assault. Only 77 metres to go!
So I crossed the creek, and sort-of followed a sort-of track. This isn't too bad, I thought. And obviously my caching thongs were the correct footwear type.
And then the wheels fell off. The track disappeared, the bush got thicker, and ribbon grass started playing havoc with my legs and unshod feet.
And tree coverage made the GPS start to play up. I kept bashing through the scrub, and every now and then, a bonus........crappy water half way up to my knees!
Finally got to where my GPS said I should be, and had a bit of a wander and a look and saw GZ. Relief! More water!!
I don't know how the log has managed to stay dry in the container because it was in the water. I used a couple of reeds to tie it up a bit higher than the water, so it should be good for a while longer.
And then the trek back out. More scratches and scrapes.
All in all, a fun hike!! Thanks, DOC-WHO for the experience.

Hi guys, so sorry about any injuries incurred traversing to this one. Terrain raised to 3, I found a fairly easy way out, but I remember the venture inwards eek, I was a little carded myself.
For future catchers, take your time, shortest route isn't always best.

Wow the cache was great but this definitely needs to be changed to a 3 terrain!!! There is no easy way into this one...we were thinking that there must of been a trail with it only being a 1.5 terrain but boy were we wrong!!! This one wasn't fun for us not really into the "bush bashing" thing & ended up with our youngest geodaughter getting injured on the way back out but we got the smily in the end...T4TC

Wow! Bit of an adventure trying to get to this 1. For some reason we thought that plunging straight through the bush from "Leaning tower of tree" would be a good idea to get this 1. Nope, deffinately not especially if you don't like spiders. Eventually found GZ and after a bit of searching, found the cleverly hidden cache. TFTC DOC-WHO
The boys waited this on out in the car while I grabbed this one. My GPS was showing 12m out when found. Glad it wasn't any harder! Also glad I wasn't trying for the ftf that's for sure. The geotrail came in handy. Thanks for the cache.

Woah. How on earth did you find this spot. After looking for a way in and coming up with nothing, we decided a bush bash was required. The walk in was extremely swampy and wet underfoot and had to go the rest of the day with wet socks (yuck). Cache was found quickly completely submerged underwater, but the log book was surprisingly dry.

We were on the way home from getting another cache when the notification came through for this one. A quick check on the GPS soon revealed we were only 15km away, the hunt was on. Look a while for way into this one but none was found, bush bashing it was to be. We eventually made it to the GZ with many scratches, now there the hunt was brief as the cache was found in the obvious spot. TFTC.
