This morning we headed down the Nile to collect a few caches. It was a lovely country drive our favourite sort of Geocaching. All caches were found easily and in great condition. First find of the morning. TFTC Tassie Trekkers
An absolutely gorgeous spot with a nice for of water. Looked for some fishies but didn't see any. Water was beautiful and clear. Tftc
I was out and about on the motorbike exploring the area. I never been up this way. Quite nice up here and a bit cold. Cache was in good condition. TFTC

I like the pun. Not a lot of water going through today. Found the cache outside the stump so moved it back in.
Another good day out in the 4wd for a morning adventure around deddington. I have ridden the road bike along the gravel road over to blessington but have never been way up the back on the gravel road. Some pretty specky spots.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 5000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

Another fabulous day in beautiful Tasmania - lots of driving through forests; walking up and down dales and of course caching.
This was #8 of 9 finds.
Any just cause is a good cause and this cause is just the cause for us coming to this just cause and cause way!
It's been an incredibly long day and I think we came in the very, very long way . A quick find . Signed log and returned the cache to its hidey hole.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find.

Well...had been caching up on Ben Lomond so came in via the Ragged Jack Road then onto Fishers Tier Road. Great drive along roads I'd never been on...arrived at gz for a quick find. These low level crossings are fairly common on forestry roads up our way....saves bridges getting washed away.
Cache log a bit damp but ok. TFTC Tassie Trekkers...enjoying the drive...cheers ST.

still on the same road, and found this one with a bit of difficulty. I was too short to reach. The dark didn't help. Log was damp, but still able to be written in.
Good day for a drive and a bit of lunch. Easily found the cache and in great condition. Thanks Tassie Treckers for the cache.
Went for a drive today in search of some caches that hadn't been found for a few years... Fired up the trusty old 4x4 and headed for tracks... Have explored a few tracks around the base of the mountain in the past, but hadn't ventured into these ones before. Pulled up at the flood way and walked back to the GZ... As it had been sitting in its hide for a few years undisturbed it was well and truly covered by mother natures camouflage.. Retrieved the cache which was in very good condition and dry inside. Signed the log and returned it to its hide for the next adventurers to find.
Thanks for the cache and bringing us into such beautiful part of Tassie
Cheers

We are regular visitors to this area with our 4WD so this was an easy find for us. Tftc
Noticed the caches in this area after completing some up Ben Lomond and decided to take a day trip to find them on a lazy Sunday. Loved it!!! Never been up this road before but glad I have now. Great scenery, beautiful river and plenty of echidnas. No fish though. This is what caching is about, getting out and about and heading to new places TFTC
The drive into the area was quite reasonable - it was a better than usual forestry road. Once near GZ, accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and its contents were in good condition. As there was no water flowing over the causeway today we continued on to look for "View Of Stacks Bluff". TFTC Tassie Trekkers.
Hi Tassie Trekkers. We are having a great day picking up the geocaches of yours we didn't get last time we were in this area. These forest tracks are fantastic fun - wildlife everywhere and we enjoyed getting very close to a couple of echidnas en route. I am glad we had your waypoints to follow and we arrived without drama. Thanks for organising such an enjoyable series and showing us this lovely part of Tasmania. TNLNSL.
Hi Tassie Trekkers
Today was the second day of a two caching expedition with Budgietas and Cheesy Pigs. Yesterday was fine and just what you want for caching. However, today we woke only to find the weather conditions totally the opposit of yesterday - pouring with rain. Not good for caching and not even good for the ducks!
Yesterday, I left Huonville at 0700hrs, met up with the two other finders and left for Launceston about 0900hrs. Today, left Western Junction round 0645hrs and went for breakfast at Maccas. Cached all day and got back to Huonville on the first of November at 2340hrs. A great trip and I extend my thanks to Budgie and Cheesy for making it a memorable couple of days. Thanks to CraigRat for organising the event on the 31st of October.
This cache was my 35th for the day:
We've now arrived at the crossing, but we've decided not to go any further in this direction. Far too risky.
Too much water, running too fast! Discretion, the better part of VALOUR. This was a good hide found very quickly. The weather is really starting to improve this far away from Launceston, can see a little blue sky in the distance now. The cache was found, the log signed and the container returned to its hide at 1515hrs. From here we're off to find "Wild River" just because we can; we think!
Day two had me find fifty-one caches, yesterdays caching produced fourty-one finds for me, total of 92 for the entire trip. I got a personal best for finds in a day again today and I think Cheesy set new one again today too.
Thanks for the cache
Cheers OldSaint.

Hi Tassie trekkers. Let me start by thanking you for all the new caches you have placed, they are great. Anyway I was in Launceston today as my wife and geo kid had a craft "event", so I had 4 hours to go for gold while she was "crafting". We attacked evandale, Nile, deddington and blessington and then were going into Launceston for a few before I got the call to go and collect the wife. The day yielded 25 cache finds and included two ftfs, a rarity for us.
Whoo hoo a *ftf* and so far from home. Drove to the cache gz very easy. Cache was found by geo kid o and e together although I was needed to reach the cache. TFTC.
