This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 28 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

subi-two, we didn’t find your cache today. Sorry, but it wasn’t for lack of trying though!
Could not find 6:15 pm ! I doubt it is here, the GZ area looks like it has been “cleaned” up. On what was a secret trip for my birthday gift which I now know to be Nelson Bay and we had stayed overnight after a day of geocaching which was part of my “gift”. We had hoped to find this one as we were now doing a bit of sightseeing but like many others no sign of it. We hadn’t noticed the DNFs before looking otherwise we wouldn’t have bothered.

Up at Shoal Bay for a weekend getaway. Decided to do the complete series over 2 days. Alas, this one seems to be missing
We decided to go up to the Bay for a picnic lunch. The kids were asleep in the car so i stopped here whilst the wife watched them and gabbed the cache. TFTC
Quick grab once in the right place. Just grabbing one for the mystery challenge TFTC
Found it quite quickly. The hint was great. It was well hidden for the kids. Was on the less obvious side of the path! I thought it was going to be in the bush...

A lovely weekend away in Shoal Bay
There’s no better way to explore than stretching the legs to go caching.

OCW the Bebes on our second day in Shoal Bay. Going to try and complete the power trail today. Tftc
Away for work And had a big week of travel starting in Melbourne, up to Townsville, back to Brisbane and Newcastle today and a flight back to Mel this evening. With all the racing around and eating crap food I felt like Mr Blobby!
Anyway my visits for the day were done and I had a couple of hours to kill, looked on that map and saw the series at Nelson Bay. I have fond memories of this place from 15 years ago when I arrived as a backpacker. Arrived at my starting point, checked the map and gave my self a max of 90min before racing back to the airport. Off I ran and the series was perfect, guessing I did around about 7km and maybe 20 somethink finds. Still need to have a count. A number of dnf’s too but with a time restriction there was. No time to play about.
The perfect series for a run and I’m feeling better now. Thanks for the fun!

Found at night with AWTYOW, she copped a spider web on way out, nothing like watching someone do the ninja moves!tftc
Nice easy find in the dark = good... Big giant spiderweb in the face on the way out = not so good. No spider on face = excellent! Pitman Clan gave me the all clear by torch light TFTC
Completed this series with Beary_Unicorns early Sunday morning. Tried to get it all done before the temperature became too hot, but no luck. Visited trackables, tftc.
From what I saw of this area, it is a lovely location for a series of caches. However the entire area could use some TLC for the council to clean up the rubbish and some TLC from the CO to remove all the wet soggy old logs from the old looking containers.
5th find of the day and it is way to open here. Had to use the tieing the shoe lace trick twice.
Thanks for the cache subi-two

Finally conquered my nemesis. We come to the bay every Xmas and failed to find this one a few times. "Surely it can't be over there", and there it was
While holidays visiting Nelson Bay. Saw this trail and will start it. Don‘t know how fare I will get... we will see

It was a great spot. I saw it out of the corner of my eye. Subi Two never disappoints with his spots. Would recommend.
Finding a few caches in the area following an emergency stop here.
Slowly wondering north after the Parkville Mega. Thank you, subi-two for placing this cache it certainly added to the enjoyment of our trip. 3984. TFTC TNLN.

Another DNF for the road! The car is getting close by now..... our 9th DNF today - a personal ?best for us! At least we had 25 finds to go with it.....
Busy road this one. Thank goodness for toy photography. A muggle walked by, so I took photos of my Groot on the cut off branch above cache until I was able to grab it. Tftc!!!
Today I took on this trail on my mountain bike,I had a great time exploring around the area,The unexpected hills hurt at times but the ride back down them was alot of fun.
The day was a success with only a few DNFs towards the tail end.
Thanks for putting this great series together

Got up early to tackle this series while staying in Shoal Bay at the end of our holiday fromUK. Good hints and a lovely varied walk. Thanks for settling the series.
Tftc. We’d spent fifteen minutes looking and had given up due to time limits and had started back to the hotel. Mrs Jaybeem was walking along checking old logs and found a photo that she thought might help, so after a brisk walk back to the GZ we found the cache on the opposite side of the path to where our GPS wanted us.
Found. Thanks so much for putting these out. It’s taken me to a few places I haven’t been to. TFTHTNLNSL.
I almost forgot to log these ones... because the drafts of them are not visible on my mobile phone!
On our way back home from Byron Bay we made an overnight stop in Nelson Bay. I didn't like these to much, because I am very afraid of spider and bugs...
My hubby already wanted to go back to our hotel because it was getting dark, but I could persuade him to look just for one more! Five minutes later, after a very couragious grab, I was walking back to the hotel with a big and satisfied smile in my face and on my gc map!!

This has got to be one of the nicest areas to go geocaching in. We have friends living nearby so we were very happy to see this trail with a great selection of caches. It was not too hot so we trecked the ups and downs and even saw 2 dolphins frolicking in the shallows as we continued with our cache hunt. There were a couple in the series that we think are missing. Thanks to subi-two for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
We are off on our bikes to work on the trail today after two very windy days. Today it is a bit lighter so we decided to give it a go. So far so good.
This is the second of the series as we leave the footpath and on the the shared walkway. Busy work muggles nearby but we were able to make a quick find without drawing their attention.
Code noted.

I'm surprised this hasn't been cleaned up by whipper snipper yet. A brazen hide. TFTC.
Walked the trail today, great walk on a beautiful fine winter day. TFTC
I came up from Sydney last night and stayed with a good friend in Elermore Vale so I could get a early start up to shoal bay for a day of caching on the power trail.
So here I go. Let's see what I can find today. All caches that I found were in a good condition there were lots of logs in many of them and finding where to sign in order was not always easy.
I love the day of day it did take hours and lots of walking. Tonight will be a early night back at Elermore Vale with my dear friend and some reds. Thanks for the effort you went to to place all these caches and to maintain them.
This one was hard I almost gave up.
