Will need to check if the cache is still there as afew to many DNF in a row.
We have found this one before and came to find it again but unfortunately it's not there
Looked for awhile but couldn't find anything then looked at the log again and saw the DNF and the note.
I think I found the empty case for this cache washed up some distance away from where I found it earlier this year. Might need replacing
It was such a nice day when we came down from the Trig track when the sun was setting - soooo romantic! Really cool place for a cache and easy to find after reading the hint. Thanks for hiding, MillsandLills!
This is a great cache. We loved looking in the rock pools. The log container is very cool. Thanks for the cache!
A nice visit to Pauanui and an even nicer walk along the rocky road. I liked it very much. The box itself could be found well, since it gazed at me from afar. I tried to cover it s bit more. Left a TB as well - happy travels!
Thank you for the cache!
Thank you for the cache!
Easy find after crazy trip down the mountain! Almost got marooned as the tide was coming in fast! TFTC!
Cool place for a cache. It was really visible so I tried to cover it a bit after signing. Done the loop walk, so it was a nice outing! Tftc
Came to the area from the top track and soon found the rocky road. Climbed the cliffs more than required. Checked the previous logs then found in a much more accessible place. Ten meters from our gz. Took frog tb
Nice Cache. Did it with my small one, 10 month old. unfortunately the image is the only thing that let him remember his first log.
Having done his homework, steed arrived with a replacement cache. It took a while to locate the soggy log in a PB, but the hint helped and he eventually found it. He has replaced it with a new container, waterproof log and swag and has left the old log in its PB. We hope this is okay, thought he would save you the walk.
No container, just a small bag with a log too wet to sign finally encouraged to go past flat rock after 42yrs!!
Very cool walk - surreal sound hearing the rocks clutter with the waves. THanks for the adventure
1119 Set off today with a mission to collect some outstanding caches for the 37 degrees challenge oh and collect some others as well. Doing the circuit. Took some time to find. No container but plastic bag has done a good job in keeping the log good.
First official treasure hunt for my4yr old. Taking it a bit hard there wasn't swaps in this one. Oh well left sum for the nxt people.
Interesting little 'caves' here. Found (no container just a plastic bag?) coming down and around from the summit. TFTC.
Left the kids with their grandparents and raced around the rocks to find this cache. Stunning views and beautiful rock formations here. Great day for caching! Tftc
Good find after scrabbling around too early at the wrong location. Co-ords probably OK at GZ.

2 caches had been sea muggled so have moved the cache place along a little further and higher out of the sea's reach.

I loaded my GPS with caches in the Coromandel area one week ago before we left Sweden.
This morning on a jogging tour I found six out of eight.
This afternoon on a stroll in rain and thunder with my wife we found one out of three!!
We fought our way on the beach and when we came to GZ I said: I know where it is! I was pretty sure because if I was CO I would have placed it there. But we found nothing. Now I got the answer: it has been moved.
It feels sour to go half around the world looking for something that isn't there.
However we enjoyed what Mother Nature gave us: thunder, lightning, wind and rain.

Walking out here was certainly an experience. I've never seen a beach quite like it!
Sadly went to this cache the short way rather than via the top of Mt Pauanui. Next time will definitely go to the top!!
Rocky road indeed! Such amazing rocks, different formations, different eons. A Christmas Day jaunt with combined Bearsleys and Bertrams on a summer's day holiday. Thanks from Team Bearsleys!
I have been past this spot so many times as a muggle it is ridiculous. Awesome to find this spot!!
Checked the cache after a DNF and sure enough it had been muggled so nice new cache and log in place again.
Found this one while out with our walking group from Whangamata, we were going up to the top
to have lunch and then back down the loop track. The tide was in and the day was windy and
damp at times the cache is dry and OK. The GPS gave a reading of 5.5 kms for the loop track.

Lovely day for a rock scramble, found easy enough, great spot! Thanks heaps, TNLN, TFTC
Last of the day on our hot climb! A bit of GPS jump but speed eventually. TFTC!
We have walked past this cache many times on our way up and down Mt Pauanui, so good to get it logged.
We picked this one up on the way back from the hill walk so came at it from the Southern side. We also came across what we thought were illegal fishermen with a massive catch of paua but as they tipped them into the chillybin, we saw that they were in fact kina! Ewww! Not our taste but they obviously enjoy them! Thanks for the good hide MillsandLills.
Rocky road indeed, but good fun. Great place for a cache & an easy find by a new cacher - Rigby. Really enjoyed this wee walk, and we didn't even get our feet wet. TFTC
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We spent the weekend in Whitianga and picked up a few caches on the way home on Sunday afternoon. After stopping to pick up a cache at the SH25 intersection, we noticed that this cache hadn't been found yet, so thought we would make a quick detour into Pauanui and try our luck for a FTF.
Parked the car in the car park and took the track around the shoreline to GZ. Really enjoyed the walk and the rock hopping at the end - definitely an interesting variety of rocks and rock formations along here. Soon found the cache at GZ and signed the blank logbook for what we thought would be an unlikely FTF!!
Afterwards we grabbed a couple of other caches nearby, then continued our way home. Thanks for an interesting walk and the cache!
Retrieved the TB.
