After staring at this for a bit on the boat at the marina i had an idea and then started working it. And after using a few tools online I came up with the solution. Biked over to the GZ and found it, but the log is soaked. So picture is attached. If we're in the area again and have some more paper I'll drop it in there.

bsharwood did all the work on this one but I found it with him. Unfortunately the log was wet when we found the cache.

Pine Rivers Day 2We are now camped at the Lawton Showgrounds for a few days.Started our morning with breakfast at IkeaOur plan for today was to head to Redcliffe a few ALs, some witch's hats & the Bee Gees Virtual. Not used to city traffic, so it's a bit hectic for us.The scenery is really spectacular as you drive around the coastline. The log book is just mush it will need to be checked by the COThanks agap2 for hiding this cache.

First cache for the day. Headed to the peninsula for a bit of caching on a day off. Solved the puzzle during the week. I really enjoyed the process, very clever. We ended up parking about 100m away and on approach we suspected a likely host. Two times around the mulberry bush and i spied a likely hiding spot. Scratched around in the leaf matter and there was the container. Unfortunately the container was ful of water and so was the inner plastic protector. i emptied these out and retuned to its spot. Since the wife was driving today in her car, my usual spares were not with me. Thanks very much irrespective agap2. Enjoyed the challenge and the outing. Cheers

This puzzle, while not particularly difficult, took me a little work to extract the co-ordinates. But I sorted it eventually and today we headed over to add our name to the logbook. It's been a while since it was found so I needed to use a stick to uncover it since I wasn't in the mood to go poking my fingers into everything today Thanks for find #5170TNLN

A friend was having a surprise milestone birthday party and a trip to Brisbane was required to attend.

After accidentally (on purpose), booking my flights a few days earlier, it was time to do some pre party caching around town.

Following my 4am wake-up to catch a 6am flight, the plan was to head north to find some challenges and other targeted caches.

I spotted this cache while traveling around and decided to pull over and see if I could solve it roadside. Fortunately I didn’t have to do this manually. With the coords in hand it didn’t take long to make the find.

Thanks agap2 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Seeking a place date & a local cache such as this one fits the bill. I did arrive after dark and was great to have very few muggles about. Easy find.

I had this puzzle solved a while ago and noticed the last log was a dnf. I messaged the CO suggesting I could replace the container but did not hear back from him. Today I put a new container at GZ and signed the log. I hope that is ok with the CO. Thanks agap2 for the puzzle and showing me the lovely view nearby.

This afternoon, a trip was made to the Redcliffe Peninsula to Newport and Scarborough to grab a few geocaches, including a newly published cache. A nice was had around Scarborough Park just prior to a heavy rain downpour, and it was then time to make the drive home, stopping at a couple of last geocaches at North Lakes.

An interesting puzzle that I had solved some time ago.
Today whilst I was in the area, I pulled up close to GZ, and then once I got to the right tree, the cache was a quick find in its hinted location. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks agap2 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

After this morning’s Australia day event, I mentioned I was heading off to do a few caches in the area and clean up was I had left behind. Our assault on these caches today was Esmiley, Willis007, Bella (geopup) Charli and I. We stopped at a trail of caches, some were previous finds and some were new finds. It was a fun day in the rain and with some big laughs as always with Willis007and Esmiley.

We all had this one as a solved so it was a stop here to grab today. With the amount of people in the area, I was not sure if we would be able to get to GZ. I found a way in that was undetectable and began a search. Moving a couple of strategic pieces and the cache was soon revealed, it was well hidden. With log signed and cache replaced as found, we were then onto the next one on the list. Thanks for placing it here.

After a bit of this... and a bit that... I was surprised when I ended up with a solution... that almost never happens... today while in the area I thought I’d look for the cache...

The log was a little damp so I dried it out and added a snap lock bag... tftc... a very satisfying puzzle to solve...

After solving this a little while ago, I decided to tackle a couple of adventure labs and grabbed this while I was in the area.
Cache was quickly spotted, log signed and cache replaced as found.

Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.
This has been sitting on my solved list for quite a long time. This afternoon Mrs e3 decided she wanted to explore Redcliffe. I parked on Endeavour Esplanade and found the cache in Endeavour Park. How appropriate is that.

Was quite a straightforward puzzle to solve (thankfully) and had done so months ago. I took the geomonsters over to Scarborough today as they needed to burn off some energy, so this was a quick find on the way.

A purrfectly sunny day for a few geocachers and a couple of happy dogs to hunt for witch’s hats Goldielover and I have been here previously and it seems this cache is long gone. During the week I messaged the CO without success

So, as this puzzle deserves to live on, Stairman1 parked here and I scooted over to GZ with a replacement cache and logbook Hope that’s OK with you, Bruce

We solved this puzzle back in the days when we lived in Canberra, in the hope that one day we would be here to find it. I think at the time I did not realise we would be moving to Brisbane, and the move was made in 2017.
It has taken us this long however to get out to Scarborough and find a few of the Geocaches here.
What a beautiful location and there seem to be views wherever we drive.
Thanks agap2

I’ve looked at this puzzle a number of times in the past, but I have no idea how to solve these yet alone most puzzles, me and puzzles don’t get along so I tend to stay clear of them, but something made me think I could jetski this one. So I went to the location which looked obvious from previous log photos and found the cache in the first place I looked. Bingo!

Unfortunately it’s a cold, miserable wet day, but that won’t stop me from heading out to grab a cache.

Out and about on a Redcliffe Wednesday Covid Cycling Ride ( aka doing my permitted exercise).

Last night I noticed a puzzle which appeared to be near my planned route and set about attempting to solve it with no success. I did however note several photographs which allowed me to narrow down the general area this cache would be hidden in

Cycling along very close to GZ I started looking for the tell-tale signs and bingo. No evidence of any Ukrainian Levkoy in this area. JetSki while riding past. Had to be one here and I was right.

Well that was easy if you look hard you might even see it yourself.

Thanks, love a good bike cache Cool

I am on holidays and can't go anywhere due to covid . I am only going grocery shopping and 1 bike ride a day. I am using hand sanitizer before and after touching the cache just to be safe . It is the start of a New Year and also an opportunity to get the first souvenir for 2020. Billy the Geopooch needed a walk and so did we, so we decided to go look for a couple of caches close to the water to get a nice sea breeze. Billy loved his walk, especially as he got to go paddle in the water while I searched for the caches.

This was our target cache for the day and we initially had to walk past it because muggles decided to park their car near it as we reached GZ. Bummer! So we went and found a couple of other caches and another car of muggles pulled up, really? Luckily they weren't paying us any attention and I finally was able to collect the cache - I think it must be at least 3 years since I solved the puzzle. All is good at GZ, TFTC agap2 Smile

Solved this puzzle in advance of a birthday party in the area. Quick to solve but definitely don’t do it by hand!

Geokids found this one after a climb / play. The log is a bit damp but still usable.

Great views today, apart from the smoke.

Out for a quick pedal and hunt this morning. A nice cool start to the day and not too many muggles about. This one has been solved for a long time, but I have not headed out this way since. I had to look at it again to remind myself what it was all about.

Today was the day for finding. All good here thanks. Big Grin

I once had a contact randomly saved in a text document on my computer desktop. I noticed it's size was 23 bytes. I thought that was small. So I opened the file, added a character, then saved it. 24 bytes. Ah yes, I should know any character (I'm guessing a word like ascii or unicode should be added here) is stored as a single byte. Does that mean it's 8 bits? Probably, I dunno.

And knowing there is 1000 bytes to the kilobyte, I guess we can safely assume there are 4600 characters in the puzzle of this listing. Plus or minus a significant figure or two I presume. Which is a bloody lot of ones and zeroes. Or dots and dashes. Or any character really. And unless it's in legible English, I'm going to need some sort of solver.

Being that I solved this so long ago, I have not a damn clue what solver was required, but my personal note has the output saved. That's nice. And convenient! Today after finishing a day of training and having both time and anxiety to kill, it was some wholesome distraction by geocaching for me!

First, food! I wound up pulling into a nearby carpark with the last of whatever grease box Hungry Jacks had in the middle of their drive through menu as I had a gander which direction to walk. It's quite a nice spot here - I watched a plane fly overhead departing YRED. and I headed for GZ.

Once there I poked a few spots and quickly found the little guy tucked away. Unfortunately inside was wet, so a photo log will do me for today. I replaced as found and ambled back to the car. I think this geocache has inspired me to hide one called 4.6 MB. Actually, 4.6 GB. No, make that 4.6 TB. Hang on, what's this yottabyte that wikipedia mentions? Do we have that sort of computing power readily available? Moreover, I need to recall what solver is needed first. Thanks for this geocache, agap2 Smile

Caro from Jess & Caro, Eskies5 and I made a plan to head down from Toowoomba for the day to pick off a few of the caches in this area. I found myself on a little puzzle role when searching the area, so why stop. Solved a few just in case we had time to hopefully grab them as an added bonus for the day. Didn't have too much trouble solving this one and once seeing where it was it was added to the list. Once at GZ Eskies5 made the find where I didn't look hard enough. TFTC agap2

I remember well our efforts solving this one.
Liking a challenge as we do we opted, despite the advice not to, to do this one manually.
Yes, pen, paper & the rusty old grey matter!
Ignoring the magnitude of the task we surged forth into the fray to find that indeed the pen IS mightier than the sword!
I will admit to spending considerable time in the solving but solve it we did!
Taking in our daily dose of vitamin D we headed up here to round up a few missing smilies.
Surprised at the ease & speed at finding the cache once at GZ.

I admit that I solved this so long ago that I don't recall much of the solving, except that the volume of numbers scared me, and that I think I had to use at least two different programs to smack it all down to size.
Today it was a super simple slip into the garden, and plucking out the cache from its nook. All good here so TFTC and puzzle!

Another day of caching to pick up some of those previous pesky DNF's and solved puzzles over on the north side. A great day out, but now I have a few more DNF's on my list!

This was my first for the day, and now that the wedding has moved on, was a quick grab while avoiding muggles as they completed their early morning fitness regime.

Thanks for the fun cache agap2!

Today I was out and about picking off a few of my solved puzzles, and this one appears close enough to grab. Not the best day today, 3 DNF's due to people sitting/parking/throwing a wedding on or next to the cache....That was tough!
DNF#2. I pulled up right at GZ. Unfortunately so had 50 guests at the wedding all waiting for the bride. And to rub salt into the wound I had parked in the approaching Limo's space! Not very inconspicuous - I'm outta here!
Thanks anyway - Ill be back!

With a bit of spare time on hand before an appointment at Redcliffe this morning for work, I decided to spend the time wisely an gather a few caches. Certainly a lovely sunny winter's morning to be down by the water. A dumped pile of mulch right at GZ had me initially worried but a further search turned up the cache safe and sound. Good timing for my visit as the council work crew were only a little further down the road spreading out the outher piles of mulch. TFTC

Out for an afternoon of caching with IolantheK, Dutchie1950 and Mrs Just a Trifle to do the nearby Friends series and of course any others along our route.

Mrs Just a Trifle had already solved this one so off we went and found the cache and added our names to the log.

When I got home I looked at the puzzle and thought I immediately knew what to do with it. Hmmmm not quite as easy as I thought. After a few minutes playing around on the computer I added some playing around with pen and paper and then some more playing around on the computer and hey presto, some information began to appear.

Mrs Just a Trifle was out for a day of caching with Rhyssa6 and Dutchie1950, primarily to complete the Episode Series of caches but to also pick up any others we came across along the way. After a few hours, we were joined by IolantheK which completed our day of fun and hijinks.

The solution to this cache has been sitting in my solved pile for some time so we took the opportunity while in the area to have a look. The cache was easily found and with the end of light approaching, we decided to finish for the day.

We mostly had pleasant weather for our day on the Redcliffe Peninsula, with just an occasional shower here and there to cool us down.

Thank you agap2 for having placed the cache and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy Cool

# 1323 - Met up with Mrs Just a Trifle at our usual meeting place, coffee at the ready, and made the trip to Redcliffe where we were going to attempt the Episode series together with Rhyssa6. IolantheK joined us after lunch and went back to the first few before going home.

We could search for this cache thanks to Mrs JaT who had solved the puzzle and was in possession of the adjusted coords. Nice hide.

I had just dropped off Sweet_bee at work, so I decided to grab this beastie.

I was most pleased how quickly this puzzle came together for me. And I had been ignoring it as I thought it was one of **those** "puzzles" that I seem to always struggle with.

I parked up at decided to go for a trot to get the cache. It was a lovely day for a walk - even if a bit hot. I arrived at GZ and started the hunt. Well it wasn't in the first place I looked - but it was in the second Big Grin

The cache was in good condition. I signed the log and re-hid the cache as found. TFTC and the puzzle, Mr Gap Smile

Found this one today with help of RoddyC. Perfect cache size to drop my TB.

I recognized how to solve this puzzle reasonably quickly. Getting the cache was more fun... I quickly slipped into the hiding area and was looking around when something rubbed against my backside - a big dog had come in to say hello. Its owner must have wondered what was going on when I yelled at it. So much for stealth! Once the dog and owner had left, I quickly located the cache.

I had a couple of hours free this afternoon and I slipped out to clean up a few Geocaches that have sprung up recently. My Redcliffe peninsula map used to be cache free, but no longer

Another puzzle that has sat in the solved pile for too long. . Time to remedy that. There was some muggles nearby at the playground, but I was abkle to approach from the other direction to make the find undetected.

Thanks for a nice puzzle, agap2

I love these ones where I get to put my information processing hat on! It's been a while since solving it but I had a great day out around Redcliffe Peninsula finding these cool mysteries.
Thanks agap2 for showing me this beautiful part of SEQ.

As this did not take a lot of brain power, it took a lot of work. Phase one: Turn gobblety-gook into flim flam: easy. Phase 2: Turn flim flam into hodge-podge: spent two hours mindlessly drooling over keyboard wishing I had an app for this. Phase 3: Turn hodge-podge into coordinates: easy. Upon arrival at gz, made a quick discovery. A B-U-T-ful day for caching. TFTC agap2.

Spent the day with Konie, and we headed down to cache around the Redcliffe area.
We found a good variety of hides, while driving around the beaches.
With the weather being a bit cool, most areas were muggle free.

Geo-wife took some time to solve this puzzle, and eventually got a new set of co-ords.
Cache was found after a short search, signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, agap2, for us and others to find.

Another perfect autumn day for a trip around Redcliffe with the Tassie Trekkers.

Today we teamed up with Roostaman and explored redcliffe. Burnt some midnight oil on this one, eventually solved it and found GZ in and easy to find place as per hint.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.
