Definitely nothing there. Unfortunate that this cache NA. Maybe someone else will replace it
I looked for a while on this one. Didn't find the cache and think it may have been muggled. Lots of trash and bottles around the tree.
On our travels around Australia doing a few caches on the way. Thanks for the cache.
We stay at Derby for 1 night after travelling to Cape Leveque for 3 nights...it gives us an opportunity to hunt a few caches in this town. Thanks for the cache, greetings from Kununurra
Found today with Flim&Flick. This one had frustrated me in the past but was nice to get a find today. Filling in a few hours before being admitted to hospital. Stopped for a cuppa and lunch. Sat in the shade with a lovely sea breeze. TNLN. TFTC
Spectacular tree especially late in the day.... dinner time? Thanks for a great cache Derby Bush Rangers
In Derby for a few days, doing the tourist thing and finding a few caches as well. TFTC. Very smelly place today!
Nice easy find in a great little spot. Interesting to read the history about this spot. Great boab tree which .... If it could talk..... Would have many stories to tell.
Grey nomading and caching our way up the middle, across the top, down to Perth and home to Adelaide for Xmas. T.F.T.C.
Today we explored Derby and surrounds using geocaching as a guide. After recent DNFs we came prepared with a replacement cache which we have placed at base of boab under rocks. You are now looking for an eclipse tin that is cammoed.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

No luck today either. Pretty sure this one is missing. 4 dnfs in a row.
Maybe its time for the owner to check

In Derby for a working holiday, we thought we'd grab a few caches while we're here! This one was the first of four for the day. Took a bit of hunting, but we found it eventually! Took nothing, left nothing. TFTC!
This is our second cache for our Gibb River Rd trip. Had to go into stealth mode as a few muggles hanging around. Cache in good condition.

This was another find in Western Australia while crossing Northern Territory and Western Australia from Darwin to Perth on Gibb River Road through the Kimberlys. During this 8500km journey we've met many nice and friendly people [^], visited countless marvelous places, saw lots of interesting local wildlife (and plants), took some 2500 pictures home and logged some 300 Caches .
This one we searched for quite a while until we've corrected the coords .
In: nothing
Out: GC OI OI OI #11
Thanks for the cache, we've enjoyed it very much [^].

Thought we looked everywhere.... Been lots of people staying here as there is a warm fire and lots of broken glass around. Will look again another day
We are back in Derby after completing the GRR and back along the Great Northern Highway. Had a fantastic time with no mishaps. Luckily we checked and saw that this cache had been replaced, so off we went. Got there just before sunset and had the place to ourselves. Thanks to all concerned in replacing. It was an easy find.
[Blue]# 10043 Found on the WA leg of our S.K.I.D.R.O. adventure.[/Blue]
Another driving day heading west towards Broome.
Hardly any muggles around and some good quick finds, before it starts to get hot again.
There is now a new cache located about 10m from the tree, at these new co-ords.
Hopefully this one will survive as it is now at a traditional hide.
Thanks for the cache Derby Bush Rangers,

As with the previous logs we had no luck today, despite 2 sets of eyes giving it a real good look.
Had a good look around then a bit of a dig in the obvious spots but no joy, sadly. Looks someone else has had a look there as well. Shame as we were going to drop our TBs off here.
Dropped into Derby to get some supplies, and a few caches.
This cache was located at an unusual picnic area, it seemed out of place.
A very nice area, with lots of mud flats with no water.
Thanks for the cache, Derby Bush Rangers.

This was our 2nd cache find in a caching run of 2 Finds & 0 DNFs today.
We found it at 08:41 so this now makes our total find count 7028.
[blue]
Discovered the cache to be in a sorry state. As it needed some maintenance we made the repair and restored the cache.
The next finder shouldn't have to dig too far now.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Average (Around 5 metres).
Cache Condition: Container and log book are now in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Toy animal.
Thanks Derby Bush Rangers for the hunt today.

Didn't find it ...there are broken glass pieces around ..... didn't want to dig to deep ....The council manicured the whole area..... Maybe cache has been moved
it was a hot day and just couldn't find it and didn't want to dig. also noted previous dnf's, then muggles showed up so we abandoned.
I had to abandon my search when I cut my finger on some glass. Thanks for the cache as I was able to spot some red wing parrots and a flock of Budgerigars as we walked back to our camp via the reserve.
Spent ages looking for this one, obviously not in the right spot.
Hope its still there, somewhere, hidden.
Thanks again for the cache & bringing us here to this bit of history.

I had to dig down quite deeply due to the recent activity by the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley. Bad luck to the last Geocacher you made a great effort however it was deeper still.
We had a thorough search, but could not find the cache. There is a lot of new council work around the boab, with fresh sand going right up to the trunk, could this work have changed the access to the cache?
Spent a long time searching, but no luck. There has been a lot of rain over the last two days, and there appears to be a lot of lose sand all around the site. If the cache is low down could it have been buried?

Once again we had a wet night with the rain pattering on the caravan roof all night without a break. In the morning we unfurled our umbrellas, donned our rain jackets, Jacki and Charlie wore their wellies boots, and we wandered off in the steady rain, trudging through streams of water flowing briskly in the streets to have a look around the visitors centre.
There were some good displays of the nearby attractions with large information photo boards hanging from the walls. There are many tour options available for those who have a large credit card limit, lol. We were mostly interested in visiting something more in our budget range ie. Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek, however our visit may be prevented due to the rain. There was not any updated information about whether the gravel section of road to the gorge had been affected by the rain and we would have to wait until tomorrow to get the latest road report.
Next we walked to the local library to check for some more information but got a little distracted, the kids found the play area, Jacki found the West Australian newspaper and I found a jigsaw puzzle in progress and was determined to try to fit at least one piece, lol. After this diversion we had a look around the nearby IGA then back to the caravan.
We quickly jumped in the car and drove back down to the jetty to see the high tide, we had to sit in the car to view the water level, now lapping high up in the mangroves giving them the appearance of almost drowning, where as the previous day. the tide was much lower, and the mangroves sat high up on the sticky mud banks.
We then went off to find a nearby cache, “One Mile Dinner Camp, GC404X8”. This was a nice spot by the side of the mud flats with a large boab tree, the parking area and the ground around the boab tree was all soft gooey red mud and looked like it had recently been resurfaced with fresh dirt which had now been thoroughly soaked by the constant rain. I hopped out of the car and had a search around GZ but started to sink deeply in the sticky red mud with one foot stuck and my shoe starting to come off when I tried to lift it out. Luckily I managed to maintain my balance and extract my foot, consequently I decided to abandon the search, if the cache is hidden at the base of the tree it would be now buried under a thick layer of mud. If the weather dries out I might come back with some type of digging tool.
It was now time to return to the caravan to have some lunch and we then spent the afternoon getting the kids to do some school work, Charlie did well with his but Chloe decided that she preferred to play outside in the rain, refusing to do any work. I tried to catch up with some bookwork which I had been avoiding for weeks, lol. All too soon, the day ended and it was once again dark and time to cook dinners and settle in for the night while the rain continued to patter against the roof of the van.

Easy find! Nice area with some interesting historical facts. The water was way back, wander what it would like with high tide! TFTC Derby Bush Rangers.
Found this morning. Mud flats are starting to wet up again.
Found the replacement cache, but it looks like someone else found it first.

Went to check if it was still there after the wet. Dig on the Western side of the tree. Also found the replacement cache with a Swatch Fob. Thanks.
Found a cache witch said it was a replacement cache. So not sure weather I can claim it. Look everywhere for another one but no luck. Its an interesting place. Thanks for taking us there.
My first ever discovery! Great cache, easy to find, use a stick not your hands to dig it out!!!
A perfect cache: It takes you somewhere that's not in the guidebook, it's an interesting site with the big boab, and it has the perfect logbook for a container of this kind
Thanks for taking us there!
Best regards, Struzinelle from Munich/Germany

I was surprised that MattyA had not found it so I went to check it had not been removed. I was relieved it was still there. Great to see MattyA go back and have a second crack at it.
