With my Saturday morning chores done and a Sunday morning planned bike ride around Ewen Maddock Dam, I saw the perfect opportunity to knock off a few more of those sunshine coast caches, giving me time to add to that challenge in the area. A drive north saw me stuck in a 3 hr traffic jam, hmmm this is not helping. I had contacted triple turmoil and she too was happy to grab a few on the coast.

We jumped into one car and headed around Caloundra and surrounding areas searching for caches. We collected a few trads, multi’s, puzzles and labs in the afternoon and into the night before camping out. It was a fun, but time did get away on us very quickly.

This was fun in the dark, us shinning torches under the deck and some guy watching us from a distance. TT needed a little help with this one as she was looking a little higher than needed. an easy grab even in the dark of night.
With the log signed and cache replaced as found, we were off to continue our journey around this area. Thanks for the hide.

21-Aug-21
Chamad and I decided to meet up on this lovely "getting closer to spring" day. We need to get 555 Sunshine Coast caches for a Challenge cache we collected last weekend. Let's just say I am a looooooooong way off. So we spent Saturday afternoon and way into the night collecting caches and so early the next morning that I am wondering why we bothered to go to sleep Smile

I thought this would be super hard in the dark, but it was quickly found.

Staying at Golden Beach with grannysmith1947 and caught up with georode & E_Smiley for another day of caching in this beautiful location on a lovely clear winters day.
Used stealth here to find the neatly placed prize, well done CO.

Out and about with georode, Snickersallan and grannysmith1947 targeting tree fishing pole caches (or with special tool require attributes) and basically any caches that picked our fancy in Golden Beach/Pelican Waters area.

Thanks for the cache and taking us here Wesso Family. Waited for the muggle moving to turn around then a quick find.

Got it out okay without muggle action. Then a long wait to replace because a boy on a scooter is waiting for his family to catch up. But it’s a lovely place to stop. TFTC

Mr Costigan lives across the road. He knows we geocachers are hunting something but didn’t know what. He was me return the cache so I had a yarn with him. I explained it’s just a game and nothing sinister. He also knows about the next cache south. He said he enjoys watching us all search - some with greater success than others. Do not be concerned if he is on his balcony - he will not muggle the cache.

13-Apr-21
Hint was extremely helpful. Reach in and around.

09-Apr-21
Wow thanks - we made it harder than it should have been even with the hint

This area is absolutely stunning. Today was such a beautiful day and the way the light reflected off the water through the mangroves made it so enchanting. After waiting for a few muggles to pass by we soon had a chance to quickly grab the cache. After another wait for a another group of muggles the cache was quickly returned. TFTF

I was looking for Adventure Lab for today and saw this new one. So this one was put on the list. The driver for today adventure was grannysmith1947.
So the list of today finds were adventure lab, earthcache, multi, mystery, and 11 traditional. The finds count was 19 for today.
We had lot of fun today. Of course there were lots of muggles today so lots of patience was needed.
Sorry for the generic post.

A nice find here amongst the mangroves. Enjoyed a walk along the boardwalk and grabbed the cache in between muggles.

On Annual Leave for a month and that leaves more time for geocaching.

We have taken a 2 week holiday from Perth to QLD. Spending a few days on the Sunshine Coast, a few days in the mountains and then a week on the Gold Coast.

Wesso Family SVKR_WA is happy to have found your cache Costigan Mangrove Boardwalk today at 16:55:19 20 Mar 2020. This brings my find count to 4037

Wesso Family - Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment. We love travelling and visiting some places that we would only visit due to this game.

The PRCYS Rainbow Flotilla was in action again this morning. Setting off from Military Jetty for what we expected was a short paddle across to the Island became a little harder than expected given the intensity of the not so gentle breeze raging up the inside passage. First Fort of call was the new virtual, after doing the caches on ther Island Beardman and myself then cross off a few land caches on the return to the Jetty.

The outgoing tide and wind made for hard work on the way back south. At times it was easier to walk and drag the kayak. Cool

13-Oct-19
Negotiating sand banks in the kayaks, we landed amongst the mangroves where a family was digging for pippies. A short walk to GZ and I quickly had the cache in hand while Ruzzelz tried to figure out how to stop his GPSr from giving him driving directions. Thanks for the cache

A late afternoon stroll along the Golden Beach waterfront brought me to this cache. Struggled for a little while to mount a search for it because there was a constant stream of dog walkers, joggers and bike riders passing by. Eventually, however, I was able to get to it and earn a smiley for my efforts. A nice hide wesso family, thanks.

Out for a day of caching with Mr Curious Quest. The weather is not the best, so there are less muggles about than usual, but they were still about. Stealth was required. Mr Curious Quest located this cache in a spot that I had already checked. :O With our names added to the log and the cache returned to its spot, we were soon on our way again. TFTC

Came up here, from Canberra, to spend the Christmas break with my parents (who live in Caloundra West). Then Mum and I went on a 2 week cruise up the Mekong River (Vietnam and Cambodia) and I had another several days here before I had to head home. Decided I wanted to go to the beach today, noticed the tide was out enough for a wander on the mudflats out in the passage so I swum over to an "island" with my waterproof camera and had a nice walk around in the middle of the passage taking all sorts of weird photos ... had to avoid standing on lots of squidgy things, and had fun, swum back to the beach just before Sunset, washed the sand off myself and decided to find a cache before I went back for dinner ...
Looked on the map and wondered why this one was still a green dot, thought I had found this last January when I was up here ... maybe that was another one ... Parked and walked to GZ ... definitely familiar, but my name was not in the log ... so maybe it was a DNF I didn't log because I was planning to come back - one thing I do remember is looking for a while and nearly being carried away by mozzies.
TFTC - didn't take long to find this time, surely I would have looked there last time? Then again, this is me I am talking about - lol
... and after all that I forgot to write it on my list or do a draft log, and almost missed logging it. Good thing I checked when I got home to Canberra - lol
