Logs
The third find on a hike from Rouse Hill to Vineyard. The log was mush and I added a new piece of paper. I used some gladwrap to seal the contents but I suspect an O-ring might be necessary to waterproof it.

Thank you for this cache. The log was wet, so replaced the page. This one concluded a great day of geocaching on International Geocaching Day
Today we took another trip out to Rouse Hill on the Metro driverless train, travelling from Chatswood Metro Station to Tallawong Metro Station, to continue with our cachey exploration of the area. Our walking route took us from the Tallawong Metro Station, following the suburban backstreets, into the western side of Rouse Hill Regional Park. After collecting numerous caches scattered around the park we exited the park on the eastern side and then followed Windsor Road down to the Rouse Hill Metro Station, where we boarded another Metro train for our return journey homeward. This was the 9th of 12 finds for the day.
After finding some caches in Rouse Hill Regional Park, we exited the park on the eastern side and then followed the pathway beside Windsor Road to this one. And it was to be a nice quick find on arrival at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Morley196.

OCW marg+1 around Kellyville, Bella Vista, and King's Langley today.
We found trads and multis and had some dnf's but best of all we had a great day out and I would like to thank the various CO's for providing the caches.

Found today on a bike trip with geofriends. This was 1 of 32 finds. Watch out for the angry alpaca on the cycleway!
sorry forgot the pen photo of log to prove find. TFTC Found while out with geofam walking the dog
TFTCM, quick n easy find after having a detour while doing the Rouse Hill Regional Park caches
Out for a geocaching trip with the geo-sister (huntale) while down on holidays. Managed half what we wanted to do on the bikes will do the other half on another trip. Tftc
Taking the dog for a walk nice easy find especially when approaching from the way we did. No pen with us so we will have to come back and sign the log
Despite a good scratch around I couldn't make the find, so decided to continue on after a few minutes. Thanks anyway.
Pity we do not know the exact spot where this happened but it is around here somewhere. A bit strange to have the official memorial in a cemetery but that is the way it goes.

A great day for a bike ride in western Sydney with my granddaughter. Thanks to the COs for all the caches... and to those who helped maintain them.
We left early this morning to get as many caches as we could along this trail. Ended up getting just over 80 so it was a very good day. Thanks for all the caches.
Always love caching with this group, a fun day out on this trail chasing planets. Thanks to all COs for the caches.
Out with the gang collecting caches along Windsor and Richmond roads. It was a medium long pedal but a great day. Disappointingly we had to replace a few containers along the way but no biggie either since the effort should breath some life back into the trail. TFTC.
Out on a bicycle caching run with geobuddies along both the Richmond and Windsor Rd trails and also grabbing any other caches in-between.
Overall our day was a whooping 10hrs on the bikes and we all enjoyed every pedel of the way.
We found a total of 87 caches today so I apologise for my repeated logs,
Thanks to all the cache owners for providing us with a great day out.

I’ve been keen to start on this Power trail for some time now.
Today I set off on a two hour public transport journey to reach the southern end of the trail.
I arrived a little later than I’d hoped due to life getting in the way of caching this morning.
Great history along this trail and a nice walk.
Nearly took a slide down the banking

Out for a bike ride with SeeMyShell this morning.. The track took a while because we got distracted by the two pubs along the way, and probably spent more time in there than riding the bikes ...It is Christmas time after all Most caches were found in good order with 52 finds and 6 DNFs for me today.. Thanks for the caches and adventure!

I'd given up hope of ever finding this cache. I can't ride a bike (knee injury) and nowhere to park along Windsor Road nearby. But today an unexpected opportunity occurred.
I was caching in Rouse Hill Regional Park which took me on a track along Second Ponds Creek. I noticed a gap in the fence where the path along Windsor Road could be accessed. Checking the GPS it was only 234m to this cache so I went for it.
Once I reached the GZ area I could see all the rubbish mentioned in a previous log, but knowing Morley hides I did not think I would need to go near the rubbish. How does it get here anyway? Do cyclists throw it here?
A careful check of likely spots and the cache was revealed in a usual hide.
Nature had made the hide very well concealed, probably raising the difficulty level.
I signed the log and replaced it as found, secluded from passing eyes!
On the walk back to the hole in the fence I noticed a lovely new oval opposite.

Been wondering how many a solo cacher could reasonably find in daylight hours. Made an attempt today to celebrate a major life milestone. Started near the South end of the Old Windsor Road 'power trial' and cycle-cached my way North.
The initial target was to make 40 but managed to complete that before noon. So continued on to Windsor. 50 finds came up just before Windsor with still a few hours left before needing to get back to the Eastern Suburbs for an engagement. So picked off a few more caches on either side on the ride back to the car.
Tally for the day (in 7 hours 45 minutes): 63 finds and 7 DNFs.
A big thank you to Morley196 for making this outing possible.

6th find of the day. It's starting to get a little warm. Hope I brought enough water for the round-trip ride.

OCW Coastblue Big day as we tackled the Windsor Power trail. Coastblue had already found a few so I got started early and caught up until she joined me. Overall I found 46 with 7 DNFs and a few we didn't go for as they'd been muggled. Great day out, we managed to avoid the rain and finish before sunset! Cache# 335
OCW Rodney1210. I had previously completed some of this PT so Rodney did the catching up thing this morning and then we carried on together after that. We walked the track and completed most of it today bar a few DNFs and a few we ran out of time for.
My apologies for the same log over and over. I really appreciate the effort you have gone to create and maintain this PT. Given that we were chasing numbers today, these caches made for quick and easy finds. Thankfully the rain held out and we made it back to the car just as it began to fall.
I look forward to avenging the DNFs once they're active again and completing the last few caches and mystery final. TFTPT!

Today was the day for the Windsor to Rouse Hill trail.
I started off by parking on Court Street in Windsor, unfolding the push-bike and get on the road. In total I found 67 caches, and 5 non founds. At the end of the day, the GPS showed a total track distance of 18.6 km.
Vinegar...a great ingredient in many dishes. But also for making pickles, you cannot do without it. I was quite surprised to see a whole hill dedicated to this versatile ingredient. Thanks for that!

Well this is the day. I have been planned for a few weeks. I have borrowed a bike, helmet and puncher kit. But there is nothing I can do with my 52 year old leg that have not been on a bike for years. I have about 60 on the list for today a ride of about 28 km from Windsor to Rouse Hill and back. Thanks Morley196 for going to the trouble of placing all the cache with on the local history. Well done.
From all the caches I found I only found one clue for the mystery the was for the letter 5. I will need help to complete the mystery. TFTC.

Finally a day to finish off the Windsor Rd trail, started over a year ago now. We had a smallish section to do so decided to walk from Rouse House in both directions. A nice quick find, thanks Morley for this series.
This cache took us a bit to find and I was surprised it hadn't washed away in the recent rain. Finally found the spot and the hidden cache. TFTC, it was a nice walk along from Rouse House and interesting to see the flood level indicators under the bridge. Last week would have been the time to see how high Second Ponds Creek really got!

About 1.5 weeks ago I was looking at the geocaching map of Sydney in search of a nice trail.
I noticed this trail and wanted to know more about it.
After a quick investigation I found out that it was possible to do the trail while walking.
The problem could be how to get there. Luckily the Opal travel app was of great help.
The best option was to start at the end of the trail near Castlebrook Memorial park, a 50 minute bus ride from Sydney. But only if I would not travel on Sunday as the way back from Windsor would take me more then 2.5 hours due to railway work.
So I decided to travel on Anzac Day.
The problem would be the bonus, because I planned to start at the last cache of the trail.
It turned out that the bonus puzzle coul be solved by looking at the cache descriptions of the caches along the trail. With the help of the offline viewing possibility of GSAk it was not difficult to solve the puzzle.
on Anzac Day I left my Appartment around 8:20 to catch the bus.
After arriving at the memorial park and a short walk I found my first cache around 09:30h and the last one around 15:30h. Some caches I cold not find because they were gone or were to well hidden.
2 caches I could not look for because people in the neighborhood were watching me.
1 cash I did not attempt due to a parked police car close to the cach location with the officer in the car.
The search of the first cach of this serie I had to abort because I had to catch the train back to be back around 6pm.
At the end of the day I had walked more than 20 km's and had found 52 caches.
Most caches could be found quite easily but some took more time.
Some caches took more time to log than usual due to issues with my pen.
Thanks for this trail,

Decided to head north today for some finds, and make some I did - 15 in just over 3 hours. Sometimes it just all works, and good coordinates really help.
And with the Rouse Hill Regional Park hosting a number of the caches I grabbed, a nice long bush walk into the bargain.
For the second time, I decided to let my milestone fall where it may. 2200 caches - that's a few...

This Windsor History Series is my first medium-sized power trail.
Daunted by 14km, Daunted by 65 caches in a day, Daunted by time restraints.
Couldn't take a bike, so we settled for scooters.
All previous results vary - 5, 6, 7, 10 hour trips.
Just psyching myself out.
Parked at Rouse Hill Town Centre and took the bus to Windsor (No rush for the 'last bus back')
Started out Subway 8:20am - (1 hour lunch break) - Finished the Final 2:30.
6 HOURS WITH A 1 HOUR BREAK
Thanks for the series Morley196 - Heaps of work put into this trail, and it's great for number-cachers like me.

With my 30th birthday approaching in less than two weeks and having just passed 800 finds the competitive side of my brain decided it would be a great challenge to attempt to get to 1000 finds on my birthday. This would also mean that I would attain 1000 finds in 19 months of geocaching. I sat on the idea for a couple of days, I wasn't sure whether it was achievable and whether or not I would have the time to travel to areas which had decent trails. Last night my competitive side got the better of me and I decided that the challenge was on!!
I'd been eyeing off the Windsor to Rouse Hill Power Trail since I first started caching but had never made the time to travel down from the Central Coast to attempt it. I went under the house to find the ancient Malvern Star bike my old man used to have when he was at uni roughly 40 years ago. I did some work cleaning it up in the dark and cold of night and greased the chain so it would be ready for the trip.
I left the Coast at 7:30am this morning and started driving down to Windsor. I grabbed a few caches along the way including one close to home I hadn't found yet and others around Dural. I pulled up at Windsor and was soon on my way.
I was unable to attempt the first cache at the time as there was a function on and tradies working right next to the cache! This would turn into a theme for the day as apparently it was the day council had decided to mow all the nature strips! Thankfully I was able to make most finds with good timing and only had to come back afterwards for a couple. It definitely was a different experience caching in such an open area with soo many muggles about. I found a cache 15m away from a Muslim man who was praying in the direction of Mecca and the cache itself!! I had truck drivers giving me weird looks because I was stopping at electrical poles and other bike riders wondering why I kept on stopping. I also had about 4 people beep me when I was searching, I'm guessing they were geocachers and knew exactly what I was up to!
I managed to go from start to finish of the power trail in 3 hours and 45 minutes with 2 DNF's (one which hasn't been found for a long time and another which I'm sure is gone due to the recent lawn mowing). I had one more DNF which I couldn't search for properly as there were people right on GZ both times I went past.
I managed to sign most logs using WTF instead of my whole name. Some logs weren't signed because they were wet and about 4 others because they were covered in ants! Thanks to everybody who has helped maintain all the caches I've found today!!
TFTC Cheers
