The area around GZ has obviously deteriorated since the cache was placed. Thanks to those that visited.
Cache located lying an a grotty area surrounded by a lot of rubbish. We suspected that the container was not where it should have been (lying on the ground amidst some rocks), so we put it back in the position that matched the hint. I'm sorry to say it, but we were glad to be out of this area.
This was our last cache on our visit to Cataract Gorge and it's surroundings. It was an easy find with the help from the hint.

We hadn't seen the updated cache notes and managed to get the original cache tin out and sign it (skinny arms!). We put enough bark and sticks into the crack to make the cache accessible again for others, although as the coordinates and descriptions have changed this is now unnecessary - oh well
Coordinates changed from:
S 41° 26.192 E 147° 06.943
Coordinates changed to:
S 41° 26.174 E 147° 06.937
Distance from original: 112.8 feet or 34.4 meters.
Cache has been to a new location around the oval.

Old cache had fallen inside the ever widening crack in the GZ tree. We have moved a new cache to a new location further around the oval.
I'm guessing this has fallen inside the tree. Most likely we will move it to a nearby location in the coming days.
On one of our regular evening walk. Had some trouble with our pen writing in the log.
Elcato 11/11/12 tftc no pencil, great spot loads of muggles around today as there is a game of cricket on at the oval
As we had a gap in our caching calendar for today, we went to Launceston to look for some more of the many caches that have been published recently. As we arrived at this location we thought that we had made a bad tactical move - it was the end of the school day and kids, parents and cars were everywhere. In hindsight, that was probably good as families were preoccupied and left us to look for the cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. the cache and contents were in good condition. TFTC DaFiChNi Team.
The car park was empty today as the cricket muggles only come out to play on Saturdays. A nice quick park and log. TNLN. TFTC!
First find on a Sunday afternoon of a long weekend in Nthn Tassie. Thanks DaFiChNi Team for another cool cache.
Hi DaFiChNi
Today was the second day of a two caching expedition with Budgietas and Cheesy Pigs. Yesterday was fine and just what you want for caching. However, today we woke only to find the weather conditions totally the opposit of yesterday - pouring with rain. Not good for caching and not even good for the ducks!
Yesterday, I left Huonville at 0700hrs, met up with the two other finders and left for Launceston about 0900hrs. Today, left Western Junction round 0645hrs and went for breakfast at Maccas. Cached all day and got back to Huonville on the first of November at 2340hrs. A great trip and I extend my thanks to Budgie and Cheesy for making it a memorable couple of days. Thanks to CraigRat for organising the event on the 31st of October.
This cache was my 38th for the day:
Having just found "Anothony's Rock" and the weather having improved we drove back to Launceston to continue our searching for caches in this area. This cache was found quickly. The cache found, the log signed and the container returned to its hide at 1703hrs. However, it dropped down the trunk of the tree as there was no support for it where it had been hidden. It was finally retrieved and supported in place for the next cacher to retrieve it. So funny watching the effort to retrieve this cache for the second time. But, alls well that ends well! From here we're off to find "Anyone For Skiing."
Day two had me find fifty-one caches, yesterdays caching produced fourty-one finds for me, total of 92 for the entire trip. I got a personal best for finds in a day again today and I think Cheesy set new one again today too.
Thanks for the cache
Cheers OldSaint.

Luckily nobody was playing cricket today (or football I suppose) so the cache was found quickly, but then the problems started. I pushed it back into place and manged to get the cache to fall down 3 feet into the tree. A combined effort, a pair of pilers and a magnetic stick were needed to retrieve the cache and then return it to our hands.
then it was a matter of ensuring it would not happen again and recovering the cache in position.
We did the best we could, but maybe a quick check by the cache owner is in order.
Thanks for the cache.
Oh then we moved on to the next cache and OldSaint said Oh I left my smokes by the tree. So back to the cache and as Oldsaint got out to search his smokes were relieved under his bottom...... Another bout of a laugh followed.

Thanks for the cache we found the cache logged it, lost it down the "rabbit hole" struggled and finally retrieved it and secured it so hopefully it won't happen again
Woo Hoo *FTF* @ 16:45hrs. Lucky school pick up was over as the car park fills to capacity then. Made a quick find on our way home, no detour required. Thanks DaFiChNi Team.
