I won't be making a new cache unfortunately. Was a unique cache this one. Not many caches made out of radios out there. Oh well. All good things must come to an end, this one did do a good three years.
Found it on a quick stop on the way home from work. Bit surprised as I was expecting to search for a few seconds at least but the cache was extremely visible. I have replaced it where it was found but slightly deeper with some camo to cover. TFTC Lachlan 1.77.
Please disregard previous post. Was meant for Somerville Park #1. Damn phone is near inoperable at the first hint of moisture.
Thought this would be a quick park and grab but instead spent an increasingly frustrated half hour on it with nothing to show before I had to leave. Will be interested if anyone else can turn this one up.

In Perth before heading off on the Gallipoli Cruise this Thursday. Having visited someone in Leeming stopped on our way back north for a few caches. This was a very easy find. TFTC
Catching up with old logs, found this one with thestoff and R Princess.
Thanks for the clever cache

This cache was a great one as we took a while too find. Cool cache idea. We couldn't sigh the cache cause it was soaked. TFTC
Thinking sheoaks, my heart dropped at the number of these trees in this little area. However, knowing what i was hunting, i approached one such plant and saw the said cache almost exposed. Signed and gave it better camo but sheoak needles tend to migrate quite easily. Log is in tatters and could do with replacement. TFTC! My first radio cache!
Ok a bit of searching but found it. Out on a cache run in Australia Day. TFTC Lachlan.
Found on an early morning bike ride. Took a bit of scratching aropund in all those pine needles. The proverbial needle in a haystack location. Anyway, located it eventually. Thanks for the cache.
Took a few minutes to find cache at GZ, the needles provided perfect camouflage for this one. Signed and returned it to its hiding spot for the next cacher. TFTC
After finding the nearby Somerville Park #1, I ventured over this way and was pleasantly surprised with what I found.
A very interesting cache, something I haven't seen before.

Easy find as it was really exposed with no casuarina needles covering it. Log felt slightly damp but nothing to worry about. Covered it a little better. TFTC
Very cute. Didnt take too long to locate. Live the feel of the sheoak needles underfoot. TFTC
Spent the day caching around Willetton, Leeming and Bullcreek.
We visited a variety of parks, and cache hides.
Most were well hidden and in good condition.
Thanks for the cache, Lachlan1.77.

Pine needles were laid on thick when we arrived, but we found it and I was certainly overjoyed.
Great little cache and snazzy little spot. Great on again.

Day off and day 31 in a row, out find some before the Footy Grand Final. I like this container and it was a quick find
Headed South today to Bibra Lake with the aim to find and log the 47th and FINAL cache in GC3TR3M The Well-Travelled and Aged Cacher Challenge: WA.
After achieving this , I headed Northwards home, but stopped on route to pick up a few select caches.
Nice container, GZ was spot on, despite the tree coverage !!!
Captured a few of those terrible QR code game pieces that had been deployed close by.

I had a good scout around earlier in the day wuth no luck. Checked out a few caches and was walking past again so thought I would have another search. It was no problem this time as I looked in the only place I hadnt checked previously. Tftc
Took advantage of geobuddy Mark's offer to go caching with me today. Relatively quick find here too. Thanks Lachlan1.77
Out and about with AmstradKid and shortcuthicksy on a morning cachng run in the Burrendah area. A quick find as the cache was in the open, we gave it the AP treatment SL TFTC L1.77
With the description helping it was a disappointment to find the cache out in the open.
I think this was our last find before Jasenjanine had to return to Mum duties. Took a little while, Janine found it. SL TFTC Lachlan 1.77 An unusual container
It was really time to be going home now, the GPSr was telling me I only had 4 minutes spare before arrival time to pick Master 4 up from kindy Luckily we didn't have to search for too long before uncovering the cache It did seem like a tree a bit further along has been a popular searching spot going by the piles of sheoak needles
TFTC Lachlan1.77. I remember as a kid everyone carrying these around listening to the footy, wow how times have changed! Cache is in good condition, the baggy is a bit dodgy but unfortunately didn't one to replace it with

On approach to the cache it was easy to see where everyone else had been searching. After moving all the clumps of sheoak needles, please put them back where they were I was happy to make a quick find of the cache, I think my dad used to have one of these radios too.
Thanks for the cache Lachlan1.77!

Have changed the name to what these trees are actually called. I never knew until today!
Found on an extremely long caching day with my brother. We met up at 6am and headed to the Applecross area to start tackling a few caches there, and ended up finishing around 8pm in Leeming.
It didn't take long to find the cache, but we stayed there longer to take pictures of the pine trees and amazing ground cover. TFTC Lachlan1.77

I loved the area here with the carpet of sheoak leaves. On a windy day, you can hear sheoaks talking to each other. TFTC!
Out with iluvtrekking on a Christmas Eve caching run. This one had us going round in circles till we found the right tree.
Another blank day on the calendar to fill in and with a couple of caches left in Winthrop I headed here for my morning run. Eventually found the container in one of the only spots that didn't show signs of being disturbed. The pine needles do a great job of hiding the caches. The log in this one was very soggy and will need replacing. The container it is in is not very waterproof.

Hi everyone! After some recent rains I finally found time to go and check on my caches. This was the #1 priority on my list to do. I took the extremely soggy log out, dried the cache and placed a new log in. The new log is in a mini ziplock bag. Please ensure you re zip the little bag around the log again once you have signed the log...

Found after a few minutes of getting jerked around by my jumpy GPSr. Like the container . SL. TFTH Lachlan1.77
Another nice little cache well suited to the younger Geocacher. TFTC Lachlan 1.77
Found after a short search, others have obviously searched too as the pine needles around every tree have been disturbed

Mrs Felix out on an extended caching day with Everlasting The starting list was 48 caches by the time they left home although due to the heat and some built up frustration with continuing DNF's the list was culled down to 38.
And again, following the GPS needle looking looking then there it is in Everlastings hand! Voile.

Admired the container - pity I cant hear the radio!!!. Signed the log with FelixII. Thanks Lacglan1.77.
Decided to spend the day doing the winthrop and kardinya caches. When i arrived i could see where previous cachers had been searching, it still took me a few minutes to find the cache. TFTH
I think the radio is faulty, I could not tune into 6IX!!! (a problem with the batteries I think).
Nearly stepped on a big frog that seanphillips92 thought was a radio. He jumped into my bag so GA3977 WanderingAus - Wandering Frog is no longer there.
Thanks Lachlan1.77.

I think I found it. Wasn't a radio it was a frog but it was green and in the same spot according to the gps
Sorry seanphillips92 but that was not the cache. It is definitely a radio you are looking for.
Great afternoon to find a few caches. Thanks for continuing to release caches in the Winthrop area. The log on this one was slightly damp, but nothing to worry about. Thanks again Lachlan1.77.
A lovely hide!! We were in the area and with only a little bit of time to spare so we were thrilled to be able to find it so quickly. TFTC Lachlan.
Found it with Xinders. A very nice container. Thank you Lachlan .... we'll be back to look for your other caches soon. Cheers!
