First find of 2014!
Went to glebe gardens to get some plants so decided to get this cache as it was right at the gate.
There weren't many muggles around, other than a couple on their bikes, probably still in bed hungover!
My GPSr took FOREVER to connect so I was just searching all over the place. Finally after over 5 minutes it connected and dad suggested where to look, he was right! Nice hiding spot, surprised it hasn't got any favourites. TFTC find # 108 Big GrinCool

27-Oct-13
The GPS wasn't behaving very well when we had a look for this one last weekend and there wasn't a hippo in sight. Will have to go back for a second look soon, especially now Sharnie's tribe have found it and we know it's there somewhere.

26-Oct-13
Found the hungry hungry hippo on the loose out in the open. Put him back where we thought he belonged and have emailed the CO so they can check in case we got it wrong. TFTC

05-Sep-13
Lovely hide. Looked for this one months ago with no luck. Laughed when I found it today with my caching eyes open! Tftc SL

20-Jul-13
A relatively easy find but for future cachers the guardian is still currently in place

13-Jul-13
With the navigator out for the count with tonsillitis Mr. J had to put on his thinking cap. Reported that he found it easily but met the cache guardian, who he was a little dubious of! We have had a bad encounter with red backs in the past so kids beware! Log was a little damp, dried it a best we could. TFTC! also scored ourselves the 'get outside day' souvenir for finding this one today Smile

15:10:21 While the kids played on the railing wife did the honours of locating this one in the spot I had pointed out. The dinosaur near by was a little more interesting then any hippo that could be seen.

#128 - 16:20; The overhead power lines have played havoc with the GPS all day, so using keen geosenses, Bronte14 and I quickly located this one not far from where the GPS took us. The usual residents were absent Wink TFTC.

10-Dec-12
Found while up North with Geo Kid E.

Thanks for the cache

02-Dec-12
A little difficult to retrieve the container due to the frequent traffic, walkers and cyclists. I had to wait around for quite a while before I could get the "hippo" to give up the goods.

27-Nov-12
Our GPS was being a little tempremental today and took a while to settle down. Whern it did start to behave consistently, we saw something which was a possibility for the hide. Closer inspection revealed the hippo - obviously not normal hippo size or we would have recognised it earlier (we hope!!). The cache and contents were in good condition. TFTC choppersrule.

11-Nov-12
Quick find. Tftc

11-Nov-12

Had trouble with this one at first, the Garmin was spinning out of control. Once it settled down it was an easy find. Waiting for a break in traffic was the hard part. TFTC
