Someone seems to have sprung your hide. There is no log so I signed a piece of paper and left it at GZ. Great little island here and a nice path for a wander. There was no one around except me and a black cow grazing contently. Thanks.
I found this cache on the side of the walking track whilst out walking, wasn't even looking for it, it was open and the contents spread about and wet clearly vandalised. I put all I could find back in the box and hid it by a tree trunk by the path as I don't know where it should go.
Found Cache vandalised by side of track. Put all the contents I could find back in box and placed by trunk of tree as I don't know where it's supposed to be hidden
Found with little direction, as phone went flat just as we approched the island. Tftc.
That was so fun we found it the compass was not on it it was a great find have a good massage
Woohoo we are the 100th logged visit. Log still in good condition. GPS was a fair way off from GZ but it is a likely spot to go looking. Thanks for the lovely stroll. Much appreciated the scenic rocketjocks01. TNLN SL.
Had a nice little wander and found JP's Island pretty quickly. Cache clearly in view so returned it to the hidey spot and covered. Took TB.
Found today while in the area, it's a nice little park in need of a bit of TLC.
AnywY had the log signed and returned to hide and off again,

Find # 2015
As I was only 75 smilies from 2000, and 2 days left of the Year, I decided to hit the "This way to the Otways" trail, the Tiger Line trail and a few others that looked like quick grabs to get the big numbers before the new year.
A 14hour solo round trip with only me, ute, GPSr and a selection of music to keep my sanity.
I left home just before 7.30am and got back home almost at 9.30pm and had travelled 628ks
Now I was heading home I realised it was in the zone of a possible 100 finds for the day (only being 10 off that was)
So a quick check of the GPSr and I had selected a number of caches for my trip home.
this area was quiet and the find was made quite quick.

We parked in the designated area and enjoyed walking into the park. When we spotted the island, we smelled trouble: Joe Blake surely must enjoy it here. So we tried our best to stomp our way in. Searched where the GPS was leading us until a glance at the previous logs pointed us in the right direction, some 12 metres away. Made the quick grab, signed and stomped back to the main path.

Second attempt at this one as coords 12 metres out. Read previous comments so returned and found easily.
darn good trick took me a while to find when I got close but trick it's 3 meters away
Parked the car and enjoyed the walk in. GPSr was indicating 12m error when I found the cache in the obvious spot. Thanks to rocketjocks01 for the hunt.
A quick find was made in the obvious spot but that's where the fun ended. Heading off we realised Mr Beetles glasses were missing. As we had checked around the trees as well we had a fairly large search area to find them in, some of it in long grass. They were eventually found only 3 metres from GZ but this search was definitely longer than the first one undertaken here. Thanks.
Visiting family for Fathers Day in the area , so decided to clean up the caches in the Colac district. Found the car park easily and made our short walk to GZ , where we were signing the log not too long afterwards.
Thanks for the cache makjay.
Thanks for the cache makjay.
Another great Geocache and location! Very peaceful stroll on our tour with Ash, Will & Geodog!! TFTC
How cool. First geocache experience for us. Went straight to the obvious spot could not find, looked around Island a little more went back to obvious spot and found it, good hide.
Was out this way today and this was next on the list. Wandered over to GZ and circled and circled. When my geo-senses kicked in I found myself and the cache 16 meters out from where GZ was meant to be!
Thanks rocketjocks01 for the cache

cool. it was wet and we thourght that we would not be able to get to it but it was fine. Great Job!!!!!
Heading through Colac this afternoon and we swung past the gz and made a quick find. There was no water surrounding the island today so there was no need to get wet feet.....happily. TFTC.
Found It. Finally got around to getting this one and after a short walk with the geo dog we soon had the cache in hand and with the log signed we moved onto the next one TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 1150. Our first for the day as we slowly make our way around the coast to the upcoming Mega. Plenty of green grass here. Enjoyed the walk on a cool grey morning. Not an island today though. Searched around GZ for a couple of minutes, then read some previous logs and headed for the real GZ. Noted the coordinates there for future reference. Our thanks to rocketjocks01.
From the Bulla end of the trail I rode in on the pushbike
Such an unexpected little area between the houses and factories
Abandoning bike, I set off for the island.
Which was easy today as it isn't very wet at the moment [^]
And ignoring the GPS I headed straight for the obvious place and found me a cache

A nice stroll, but the co-ords are out. Luckily it is a fairly bare spot so the hide is easily found a little distance away. SL TFTC
Well there I was where GZ was indicated but nothing could I see but new prunings. I widened the search, still nothing. About to give up and head on when I thought maybe there, and it was, but 18m from where I had started TFTC rocketjocks01
The GypsyJokers found this one with a bit of difficultly! The location is a bit out, so keep walking a few more metres and it's very obvious!
Watch out for snakes! Had to walk around the swamp to find a dry track. Cheers
What a lovely walk left the hitch hiker lost in time 53 here to continue his journey
Found it. Thanks for bringing us here. We left a hitchhiker Lost In Time 53 who needs a ride home, hope you can help.TFTC.
Luckily a lot of water had receded around the ïsland"today !! Still had to plot my course carefully though. As stated in previous posts GZ was 15 metres from the actual cache !! Took pathtag.

Travelling up from the Great Ocean Road through Colac to home, picking off a few on the way.
A windy and showery day's travelling with Bettyboo3747.
With all the rain recently, it really was an island! A nice walk along the tracks to the island, then a slightly damp jump to GZ.
Co-ords are a bit out, but there is really only one place it could be, and it was.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 4059. It has been quite a few months since this one was visited so I was relieved that we found it. It was a tad difficult to get to "the island" without getting wet feet but we almost made it. Found quickly and left one of my Steampunk Mask Pathtags here. TFTC Last one for the day and homeward bound we go.
Nice little walk out there, 15-9m off but thanks to the logs we found it, TFTC!
Good find. Really nice place that I didn't know was here. Had a nice stroll. Cache is 15 metres off.
Requiring a cache on the 5th April for my 366 day caching calendar suscoe and I decided to head down to this area hoping to place a few smileys on the map.
We were hoping for twenty finds and this was achieved with no DNF's which was terrific.
Our list today included thirteen caches placed by krankitkiwi so a special thanks for placing so many and in varied locations and types of hides.
This was my ninth find today but was a few months ago but both ends of the path were blocked and workers removing the willows but no problems today. A quick find and back to the car and a cuppa before heading off to the next.
Thanks rocketjocks01 for placing this cache.

Found with the McLookers on a hot day while enjoying a day of geocaching in Colac!! A good description made it a good find and a bit of shade for the weary kids!! Thank you.
Doing Colac caches with spiny13 on a hot Saturday, we parked and hopped out of the car. We heeded the logs and indeed found the cache approximately 14m from GZ. Spiny13 Geogirl found the cache and the children loved making the swaps. Thanks for bringing us here.
That did take a little finding because as said by other coordinates are a little out. Was a tad concerned that a snake may like to live there too.
Fun little cache though, thank you.
Fun little cache though, thank you.
Found it thanks to the previous few logs, co ords dfinitely out a smidget. Thank you rocketjocks01 for the nice walk & the cache.
Some cachers have already logged that the coordinates are a little off for this one, and I'm happy to add my voice to theirs. It's a pity really because apart from that, this cache is quite good. It's a nice walk to the G.Z, which is secluded and able to be easily searched. tnln sl tftc
Found at 12:57 PM GAFF1. Not a very difficult cache to get to in dry weather. However what was difficult was finding the cache as it was 14 metres from GZ.

A quick streamside walk in a nature reserve that didn't exist when H-P lived nearby.
Satellites today had our GZ 11m SSE of where we located the cache.
NOTE TO CO:- Given the confusion at a nearby cache location, perhaps it wouls be a good idea to place a stash note in and/or container indentification on this cache!
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt rocketjocks01.

Found this with bogonghazy today on a run through the area. This one has been placed since my last run to Colac so I was keen to mark this one off as well. We hovered for a while, widened our search and eventually the cache was in hand. Suggesting this one is about 14 metres off?? Thanks to rocketjocks01
Found this evening with Sully1 after a long day caching in the area.
Nice walk as it cooled, and we were glad it wasn't hot to attract any sunbaking reptiles.
Coords are about 14m off, but found in the obvious spot once search was widened.
Thanks rocketjock01

This was the first for the morning on a day of caching round the otways.
I pulled the car up and after a short walk I was looking round for the cache.
Once I widened the search it was found easily.
I signed and was on my way.
A good deal of work being undertaken in the area too.

Found it but agree that the coords are a fair bit out. Easter Bunni's coords were closer (and I'm not going to get into a discussion about my gps is better than yours). There is now a pretty clear track through the long grass indicating the best way to the "island". TFTC TNLN
