Arrived here for my first cache of the afternoon but no luck here, a muggle was seated in her 4wd next to GZ while I searched and soon enough I pulled out after a few mins.

15-Jul-15
CO there's been a few DNFs since your last replacement and no finds. Could you please check?

03-Jul-15
Headed down to Sydney with Mumma-Kel today for a spot of caching in Wakko Land, and started off with a miss at this one. Like many others before us, it seems we focussed too much on the logical spot ... having now read through all the past logs, I realise that we should have broadened our search zone a little, so I look forward to coming back sometime soon and giving this one another go.

21-Jun-15
Found a hole but it was empty.

13-Jun-15
Found the hole - had a dig. But no cache

05-Jun-15
Pocked our hand down this very deep hole but could not find the cache.
Thanks

We found the tree but not the cache

Hi reviewer,

Can you please consider archiving this cache? It has had a NM on it for a while, appears not to have had a CO visit in about 18 months, and the container is rusted shut.

Thanks in advance.

03-Aug-14
I searched for this cache unsuccessfully about 18 months ago. I EAF and obtained a hint, but never managed a return visit until today. When I arrived at GZ I immediately spotted a familiar sight for a cacher, so had CIH in a matter of seconds. This was definitely not where it was when I searched before, as I had searched there (too obvious to miss), and it didn't match the hint I had been provided. It would appear to have been about 18 months since it was moved, given when logs changed from "a hard find" to "an easy find". The container is rusted and not openable, so I took a photo, which I am happy to provide on request. TFTC

Lid rusted shut but easy find

06-Jul-14
Cannot open. Needs new container.
Rusted !!!

05-Jul-14
Looks like this cache is in a different spot to where it should be.. oh well, not too far from where his old home was

05-Jul-14
A nice and easy find but couldn't open container to sign the log due to rust.
TFTC

02-Jul-14
I'm guessing this isn't in its original spot. Pretty easy find. TFTC

18-Jun-14
Nice quick find, but as noted before the container was impossible to open, added my tag to the previously mentioned piece of paper left with the cache. T4TC! Big Grin

18-Jun-14
Signed the piece of paper underneath the cache. Needs replacing

06-Jun-14
As per my found log, the cache container is rusted shut, and a paper log is outside the container.
A new container/log required, unless these can be fixed.

#666 (3 of 3 today) (Streak day 162)

Looked to mop up a few caches in this area that I hadn't grabbed yet. Found 3 of the 4 attempted.

Walked from the find at Be Bumping Careful!. As well as dodging passing cars, I also has the muggles over the road to contend with.

Luckily, I spotted the hide as I approached, so it was a quick grab.
Unluckily, the lid of the cache container appears to have rusted on... I couldn't remove it. Interestingly, with the container was a small piece of paper that a previous finder used as a log. Had difficulty signing it as it was very damp.

Rehid, but this needs urgent attention from the CO.

Found on a run to Sydney's Northern Suburbs with The Rats and Hoojar as The Rats pushes towards 10,000 finds.

We managed to find a variety of caches in and around the surburbs here. TFTC!

07-May-14
With The Rats closing in on his event to mark 10,000 finds, he asked steeba and I to accompany him on one last push to get closer to that number. The Northern Beaches of Sydney was our target

The container was completely rusted shut. No amount of twisting and turning on our behalf could open it. We took a photo as proof of find and left a small piece of paper under it with our names. Hopefully this will be sufficient for the CO.

Cheers

07-May-14
Out for a days caching in the Northern Suburbs with steeba and Hoojar. In an attempt to bolster my numbers prior to the 10k event we tackled a few heavily populated caching areas.

Having spent most of our day over on the coast it was a pleasant change to be back in the wooded jungle of suburbia. We still managed to grab a plethora of finds while in the area. We couldn't get the lid off this rusted one, but we left a piece of paper with our names on it. Sorry for the generic log, it certainly doesn't detract from the cache.

Thanks

13-Apr-14
A nice quick find although the container was rusted up really bad.

Found with DJ Quack. Should have logged this ages ago.

22-Sep-13
Last we tried this one, once we got in GZ we put the GPS back in pockets thinking that were 99% sure and we didn't find it. But this time the GPS helped us and led us straight to it, signed the log and put it back.

22-Sep-13
Footyfanatics, pdbunce and I set out this morning for a spot of caching. An unsuspecting gentleman on his verandah a distance from where GZ was. Couldn't help but wander whether he knows about this cache outside his house. Cute little cache and easy find.

22-Sep-13
Found it on a brilliant spring Sunday while out with evangt and pdbunce. A nice easy find. The owner of the house was sitting on the front porch but couldn't see us because of the big tree.

How did we not spot this last time. tftc.

18-Sep-13
This one concerned me as, upon my approach, I wondered if it could be on private property. However, I stopped right next to GZ and was relieved to spot a likely hide from the car. I soon had CIH.

The Great Scouts Australia Geocaching Competition #180
Found it fairly quickly, not where I expected. As I was about to replace I was asked if I had seen a black labrador, however I had not seen a dog that day. 2nd find for the day TFTC

Cheers Wakko, another great hide for the littlies [too small]

20-Aug-13
A very easy cache, at least it was once I finished checking a tree down the street and paid proper attention to the GPS. TFTC

14-Aug-13
The "Biggles and Ginger" team hit the road (or at least the footpath) this morning for a long walkabout in this area and managed to find a few of the caches round here. This was the second cache we came to. I spotted something worth checking on approach and there was the cache. TFTC, Biggles.

1600 GAFF1 Had seen this cache on a filter search while in the area a couple of weeks ago, but was heading the wrong direction then, so stopped off on the way to somewhere else, and with no muggles in sight was able to have a good look, and found some rubbish (which I thought might have been crafted into being THE cache, from an earlier DNF experience) and kept looking until finding the right object. Dry, but fairly full log.

Daddy needed help with this one.
I didn't Smile

31-May-13
I'm not sure about the terrain and difficulty tags for this one, however it was the only cache I could find at those coordinates.
It sure wasn't as hard as some of the other difficulty 3 caches I've done in the past and all the names on the log match those here, so I guess it was the right one...

09-May-13
Nice easy find, no risk of injury for this one TFTC

09-May-13
Found it with Frebob

Another calendar find today.

25-Mar-13
Weird. After two failed previous attempts, I walked up and found it instantly. I would have sworn I have looked around that area in both my previous attempts. But anyway, that's how caching goes sometimes .....

17-Mar-13
This was found on our "Hurry up and get pprass to 9,999 caches" caching weekend. They are celebrating at an event in April so better be there before then!
Thanks for the cache
Cheers from Browngang.

17-Mar-13
This cache is very close to private property and is way easier to find than you make it sound with the description and difficulty. Oh well. Last cache for the day (I think)

16-Mar-13
Found at 2:32 PM on our "Get to 9,999 cache finds before the Myriads and Milestones event on 21 April" with Browngang. This was a GAFF5 find.
Found in the first spot that I looked, but it took Chris to go back to it and actually pull it out.
Thanks Wakko Akos.

Oops another missed out log on Saturday and plus I had a DNF before this when we found it I think we met the Vikings hi from back then! So it was sort of a bit obvious when they left! Great hard cache Thx Wakko Akkos!

I wonder if the homeowner knows why people keep gravitating to the same place in front of their home? Looked all around, but just couldn't find this Sad. TFTH anyway. Greetings from Arizona, USA.

Even the neighbours couldn't help us with this one. They said it was missing. However EDF kept persisting after I had long given up. I reckon that rabbit hole is going to get bigger and bigger after each cacher comes through. Cheers.

24-Feb-13
Rinsemesocks and I missed our caching expedition yesterday so we spent a couple of hours catching up on all the missed caches this afternoon. All in all a very successful expedition with 7 out of 7 finds. This was find no. 7

We had time for one last cache before picking up geodaughter from a friend's house. We were first going to quit hoffing around but then I realised it was disabled so I apologised for the bum steer and we headed to here which wasn't far.

I knew that it was going to be in plain sight of the occupants but also knew that they were a friendly and sympathetic buch. I didn't know that they were going to be helpful as well though. In fact I think it was the daughter that we first encountered - she was mowing the lawn. They told us that people stopped here all the time but they weren't sure if it was still there as the last lot went away disappointed. But the big help they gave us was that they ruled out one obvious spot for us - I wasn't comfortable searching in there as this is funnel web territory and it is full summer.

So rinsemesocks and I must have looked ridiculous, 2 grown men scrapping along the ground looking in all the little crevices. I must admit it felt a little less ridiculous to be doing it in pairs, but maybe that is a sure sign that I am going insane. Fortunately our efforts paid off before too long - I wanted to assure the locals that the cache is still there to be found but they had moved on to another part of the garden and the mower was too loud to be heard.

TFTC Wakko Akos - we had a lot of fun finding 6 of your caches this afternoon - I will be back to find the others soon.

A second dnf for me. Based on reading recent logs, I didn't touch any stones, or go in private property. However, this only left one spot which I'd thoroughly searched before. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding something, and it is actually on private property?

No it is not on Private Property

Having poked and prodded around too many houses looking for caches...when I stopped by here...I gave it a quick look...and left. Plenty of places to place caches without having to put them in places like this.

Very Very Very well hidden.

Had to get my hands very muddy until i got the prize out.

26-Jan-13
Our second visit and, despite a hint from the CO, we couldn't come up with the goods. However we met the muggle homeowners and had a nice chat with them. They thought some kids had taken it away. But it might be that our eyes are just not seeing the right thing here. The homeowners told us that they have been there for 50 years and the tree was already big when they arrived. They thought it might be 100 years old! Will try again. Cheers... Gaztek

19/01/13 6:36 PM. We had been leaving this cache alone due to its proximity to private property but the lure of a previously undiscovered CUIYC TB was too great. A quick find to SL and grab the TB.

Note- It seems that some people have been moving the stones that make up the retaining wall / fence for this property - you do not need to move any rocks to find the cache, and I would encourage people to leave the stones as they are.

We are very proud to say that we found it!!! Well our eldest geodaughter did...the owners of the property were heading out so we stopped to talk with them...what a lovely couple...we asked permission to have a look around the front of the garden & they were quite happy for us to do that...they are aware that it was a game & so long as no one does any damage I think they will continue to be ok with it...as for the cache we were crawling around for about 1/2 hour found what we thought was a great hidy spot but thought that would be too easy & yep nothing there...so widen the search & bazinga!!! This is what caching is all about...T4TC Big GrinBig Grin
