No luck on this one for us. Searched for sometime but nothing. Maybe CO could do a check
The thought of climbing up a tree didn't really appeal to me.
I think maybe the 'trying to make the start up the tree' was the difficult part and to do it on my own, mmmmmmm.
Stopped at Wolli Creek on the way home from Bondi.

Landing from Papua New Guinea at 19:20 so made a dash to the hotel room, dropped my stuff, put on my running gear and made off to try and make my first find in Sydney. Unfortunately, due to all the construction it took me about 20minutes just to work out how to get over the bridge. Only got to the location around 20:00 and then proceeded to Monkey around for about 20minutes in the dark but sadly came up empty handed. Searched in all 3 trees and did have a torch and still no luck. Will definitely try it again next time I am in town. Will watch to see if it is found sometime soon as it seems odd that the last 3 cachers have all come up empty handed. Was a good run around the area though. Did move on to another cache and thankfully did make that find so at least I didn’t walk away without finding anything. Thanks and will see you again soon.
I was nearby getting two other caches. I came to have a look at this one. The two DNFs didn't encourage me to try and climb. Plus I had the wrong footwear.
I don't think I was in the wrong tree (I did try three), but I may have over-climbed. I ran out of time to read old logs as I had lunch to get to, so today it was too much monkey business for me.
Sure I had the right tree, but no luck. Checked the others but had to give it away when muggles from very close building site stopped for lunch and were obviously starting to wonder what a man of my vintage was doing trying to climb in these big beautiful trees!
Looking for something to fill in time whilst not studying, it was suggested that I finally get around to logging THOSE caches long found but never logged. Some even have funny stories of being visited not only once or twice, but a few even have had a third or fourth visit before realising I've been there done that. The date is as near to the correct day the cache was found. So sorry for the generic and late log. JABs.
Today's score was four founds and four DNFs.
I couldn't find a way to get into the tree without help of a friend. Maybe a next time.

Haha nice little spot. Minor monkey business if you're 6'4"! The cryptic hint should help. It did for me, knowing which one to ascend. Gps lock may struggle with coverage. TFTC!
In the area with Trodectus. Arrived at dusk and unfourtunately for some reason GPSs wouldn't settle so we had a choice of 4 trees and the hint didn't help. We did some preliminary searching but as getting dark we decided not to push things and give this one a pass and try for another. Will try this again with a bit more light.
I was in the area late in the afternoon with Coybear2000. We tried for this one, but our GPSs wouldn't settle. We had a choice of several trees but we didn't see anything that fit the hint. As it was getting dark we decided to pass on this one.
Nearest cache to my overnight-stop hotel. I went there and did due diligence - which for me means getting as high as I can without my feet leaving something that's at least mostly solid! I guess that means I'm not climbing trees. But I'm at 190cms and did the reach and feel in a good number of hiding spots that I thought could be likely.
But I guess for a terrain rating 3.0 one has to do more than that.
TFTC - despite my obvious shortcomings!

Looked all over that thing, but no luck. I don't climb, so that may have been my problem. I see that some still claim a find, but don't sign...or find.
It's a pity, as I pass this one every year on the Gong Ride, but can't stop. I will next time.

First cache after landing in Sydney. Drobbonz did the climbing. Log was soaked so unable to sign. Have picture if need be. Great start to our Australia leg of the trip. Tftc
Good thing I had my little monkey with me to find the cache say Moorhelmi, TFTC !!!
16:57 Initially despaired of gettig good enough footing, but it that wasn't so bad. Got it on the 2nd try, despite being short. But I like climbing stuff, and I'm light. Get a good grip and make sure your feet are properly wedged in; you'll still need to haul yourself up, so if you've got someone to give you a boost from below, that'll help.
Cache and log dry.
Close lid tightly, lest the ants nest in it!

Grabbing a couple of caches while staying at the Mercure Hotel. Hubbie did the climbing and I did the signing . TFTC
Had to stay overnight close to the airport to catch my plane back to Vancouver the next day. Did this nice one on the way to the train station. TFTC
O oh I thought, but my agility did not fail me. Signed log and thought how do I get down. Sore for days after. Thanks
Forgot to log this one. It was Friday we went to one of our colleagues' place for housing warming party. I had been to this cache before and I knew where it was but just couldn't reach it. So this time I asked my muggle monkey friend again and he found it in 10 seconds! Such a efficient find! Thanks for the cache Bells Angels so much fun!
We're on a seven week trip through the South Pacific and had our first stop in Tokyo for two days, before continuing to New Caledonia, Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, Samoa, American Samoa, Fiji and Tonga. Now we are on our way back via Sydney and Singapore. Managed to grab some caches along the route. All the CO's, thanks a lot for placing and maintaining these caches!

We had some time to kill after our plane had a three hour delay (never fly Scoot), so I was able to grab some caches around the airport. After picking the right tree, this cache was quickly logged

Quick and easy climb/find, didn't have a pen to sign so will come again after work one day to do so. Tftc
A few years ago I sent my youngest up the tree and he couldn't make the find.
Fast forward to today and I am now for enough to make the climb and the easy find.
Some great fun.

I am house sitting nearby and got the notification of a new puzzle nearby.
After making a first to find on a new nearby puzzle I headed over to this one.
It was also the prefect excuse to take the dog for a walk as well.
A quick find once at GZ here today. [^]
Thanks for the cache.

But over these types of caches bit did it anyway. Not much of an area but fun to climb a tree. Tftn
After a bit of searching on our night cache adventure contactpete seemed to be the only one to be able to conquer what was needed to obtain said cache.
He exited with such grace, poise and delicacy we were all impressed....

After noticing that one tree had a good position we were unable to inspect, so given I am the most nimble, I decided to check a few more options on recent logs, decided to employ the correct procedure to obtain said cache.
Upon dis-mounting managed to slip, so fell onto the waiting ground.
Others around me gave me a 5-10 for effort and gracefullness combined...
Personally I think at least 7-10 was more like it...

Out on a night caching trip with Snoopy1976, Contactpete and Spy79. We headed to this one 4th and once we found the correct hiding place after contactpete climbed the tree for us, we had CIH. TFTC
After we arrived in Sydney this was our first Cache.
We just had our whole bagage with us and it was not very easy to get here with it.
As a raven like me it was easy to find then.
So we had found our first australian cache. Woohhoo.
Thanks for hiding.

ziggiau had prepped me and I knew what I'd have to do when I go here, and it didn't disappoint. With a leg up from MrSmash I was off and it was a quick find. Smaller than expected container so I couldn't leave the swag I'd bought along.
I'd checked out this spot previously and although I knew I could probably make the retrieval myself, I decided to bring a TOTT, my very own monkey. Much easier when the correct strategy is employed. Thanks Bells Angels.
Today I begin my nearly-three-week Europe trip to visit, among other things, Estonia's first Mega event. In St Petersburg there is a "five countries in seven days" challenge near my hotel so I figure picking up a cache in Australia on my way out might be prudent. With plenty of time before my flight I got near the airport, started looking around and found this one. It sounded fun and after parking nearby and tracking down which object seemed likely, I began the ascent.. and immediately found the container! I was anticipating much more of a climb but given the circumstances I am happy to have it be easier than expected. Log is faintly damp but fine to use. TFTC!
Well what am I to do? Busy road, already one DNF and another I couldn't get to due to pavement works, and I was pretty sure I knew where it would be. The next question, could I get there?
Plan: wait for a break in the peak hour traffic, oh well to at least it not be standing waiting for lights! Done! Quick ascent, well not so quick but got there and signed log. Done!
Thanks for the cache and I hope it was done muggle free enough. I was pleased I did as I I went on to have another one that I couldn't get to due to repair of flood damage.
Results: 2 finds, 1 DNF and 2 couldn't get to.

Was going to the airport to pick up my father and had some spare time, so detoured to find this cache. Saw the tree...hmmmm....how to get the cache? I stood on tippy toes and tried to spot it from the ground, with no luck. Then an attempt at climbing the tree from the ground failed, so I saw the nearby council bin and decided that was the only way to help me ascend. I got up ok and into the tree, but the cache was still a bit of a reach. After grabbing it I looked down and decided that my position was a bit too precarious to sign the log up there. So I got down out of the tree and signed the log on level ground. Then replaced the cache to its spot. TFTF
Thank you very much, Regina-32 for the nice trip to australia.
Thanks for the cache.
Because the airline made a mistake, we have to stay one more day in Sydney. So we searched for a few geocaches around our hotel. This was one of the caches we found.
Thanks for the cache and many greetings from Germany.

First cache in Australia and it was only 500 feet from the apartment we rented. TFTC. Found 25-11-2015
Using the nearby trash bin made easy work of getting up to this. Thanks for the hide. Oh, and greetings from California.
I was in New Zealand for the Mega and trying to get back to Canada when my flight from Sydney was canceled. United is such a rubbish airline. Since I had time on my hands, what better way to spend it than going out for a walk and some caching. I think that I have looked this one over before during one of my many long layovers at the airport. But, this evening I was keen to do some climbing despite the rain. I am glad that I didnt do the climb during a short layover because I picked up a lot of dirt off of the tree as I was being careful and holding on well due to the wet surfaces. Glad to cross this one off of the list. Cheers for the cache!
Lucky to find a council bin to borrow
Easy find then
Staying the nite at hotel on the way to Brisbane tomorrow looked out hotel window saw the park thought must be a cache there

I didn't know exactly which tree I would need to climb so I looked around them all and tried to spot the cache before climbing. I couldn't spot it so I took a gamble and climbed one. I had a look in a few nooks and crannies not visible from the ground and couldnt find it. I tried another tree with the same result. No luck!
Very difficult for an old monkey like me but got it eventually. Nice trees in pleasant park near busy highway. Needs new log badly. Original log squashed in the bottom and current log completely full and torn. Bring geotweezers to remove! TFTC. #120 for Brewmaker
Transiting through Sydney, only here a handful of hours. Logged this at 0845 having managed a quick border control process - apparantly our plane was one of the first in today. This was my third in Sydney today. Cache safe and sound, however could do with a new log sheet.
A dozen canine muggles and handlers nearby, I managed my monkey business from the other side.
Two countries cached today. i wonder if I can make it three before midnight.........
Thanks for the cache. A few TB's visited with me.

On the sad day that we had to leave Australia, we decided to make things a little happier by finding some geocaches. We didn't plan our departure very smart, so we had to be at the airport at ten in the morning to drop off our rental car, but had to wait until five in the afternoon before we could catch our flight to Auckland (and a week later, Fiji). So we had spare time for geocaching, which I always love to do.
For us in Holland, Australia is really "Down Under". So everything seems to be upside down here. For instance: our summer is your winter. Although the temperature still reminds us of our summer . You drive on the other side of the road. And where in Europe I myself always seem to be very lousy at sports, physical challenges, handicrafts, everything that involves moving, in Australia it was the other way around. I proved to be all of a sudden capable of riding a horse in the Outback, driving a motorcycle and - right out here - climbing right up a tree like a monkey, to find this great geocache.
Thanks so much for the cache, I put a favorite on it for the experience.

Helps a lot when your searching in the right tree. I enjoy monkeying around . TFTC Bells Angels.
We started doing the monkey business in the wrong tree, but moved to the next tree and did even more monkey business and got the CIH quickly. TFTC Bells Angels
Found while waiting for an airport pickup. Lucky I had monkey geokid with me. TFTC
Took a bit of doing to get up the first part, then an easy find. Really enjoyed this one.

Luckily I had my bike with me to help with that first step up. Despite the challenge I like these type of caches!
Thanks
Thanks
Happy to get this cache. We had attempted other ones in the series not long before they were disabled with no luck. Mrs Gaztek had just landed nearby after a work trip to Melbourne. She is the usual retriever on this type of hide with Mr Gaztek providing boost power. Lots of kids doing footy training around here. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Visited during my trip from Czech Republic to Moscow, Bangkok, Pattaya, Kuala Lumpur, Singapure and Sydney. TFTC !
No problem once we had gpot a leg up the cache was fopund after a quick rummage TFTC
I like this kind of cache - I've got one of my own. Visited with Felix the spy and Arwen21, although they have both found this cache before. Thanks!
