The recent Northcliffe fires have taken a terminal toll on this series of caches and have destroyed much of the beauty and attractions these caches were placed as a caching invite into the area. Reluctantly we are now archiving the caches. Thank you all those caches who have been so complementary with their logged comments

Pity this spot has not been cleared by the ranger, it could be a great picnic spot. But a good hide anyway. Very Happy

Camping stay at Shannon NP Camp Ground we decided to head off and attempt this series of caches along the Great Forrest Drive. GPS had us well out on this one, would not have found it if wasn't for the hint. Shame this picnic spot has been closed and has been left to the elements. Love this forest, great camp ground. Log a bit damp in this one. Dried out container as best we could. Thanks jacaro44 for putting a cache here.

This picnic area is certainly overgrown, and looks very deserted, and will need some work before it can be used again! My GPS was pointing me to a spot over 10m away (it could just have been the weather), and I didn't see the yellow dot, because quite a bit of debris has fallen from the trees here due to recent storms, so I was glad to have a good clue, and could eventually make the grab. TFTC.

23-Feb-14
Went out for a drive in the forest, with Ian and Penny.
Enjoyed the series, and collected the clues for the final, along the way.
This cache was an easy find, and in good condition.
Many thanks for the cache, jacaro44.

This was our 3rd cache find in a caching run of 9 Finds & 0 DNFs today.
We found it at 08:55 so this now makes our total find count 7957.

[blue]A quick cache raid with The Drovers to finish off the area before moving on. Today we found lots of really good caches that were a pleasure to find, as the majority were decently sized. Smile (The march flies were really savage along the trail today, and almost carried us off a number of times.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks jacaro44 for the hunt today.

[:(!] Went for a four day caching run to Denmark, Pemberton and then back to Perth, on our third day we headed for Pemberton for our over night stay and picked up some caches along the way, this was one of them, parked the geoGrand Vitara as close as possible to GZ and we walked in from there, on arrival at GZ and this cache was in our hands in a matter of minutes.

We waited for a nice rainy day to do this series as Shannon is known for its rainfall. Again a great series by Jacaro with a scenic route with well placed and easy to locate caches. Again thank you for a great day. Highly recommended.

another unique place in the south west and a great drive for the afternoon. We enjoyed the serenity of the forest and made the find after a good long search as the GPS was all over the place and we also misread the hint. This one was by far the hardest one for us to find in the series but when we had it, it should have been as easy as the others.

Have travelled the South West Highway numerous times over the past 25 years but never investigated this road. Enjoyed the drive through the awsesome trees. No problem with the hide. Crossed paths with a dugite on the way out of the car park.
