In case its any help I am uploading a picture I took this morning on Belfast Lough.
Tried for this one on and off,had finally hit on the right line but the details were proving tricky.Several helpful exchanges with the CO finally had me getting a smiley from geochecker.Unfortunately I chose a very windy day to go looking-which nearly did for me.Thanks HH have a FAV.
Part 1 - Solving the puzzle: This took a lot longer than it probably should have! After several attempts over the course of many months, and a little too from the CO I eventually ended up with a number of possible values to the letters in the puzzle (several different Internet sources giving different answers, perhaps I was over thinking it!) In the end I asked the CO to let me know which of my answers were correct. That left me with only 3 to work out, before finally geochecker success! Hurrah, no more sleepless nights!
Part 2- Finding the cache: This part was actually very easy! I'd got the correct coordinates about a month and a half ago, but had been putting off going to find the cache as I was worried about finding it without daylight. As I was off on Christmas holidays today was the ideal opportunity. I took the advice from the hint and went suitably attired. When I got to GZ I looked at the 'easy end' briefly before catching sight of it at the 'slightly more tricky end'. Retrieved, signed and replaced with relative ease. Enjoyed a frosty walk back to the car.
Glad to finally turn this one green on my map!
Thanks to the CO for being so helpful in this one!

When we knew that we were going to Hollywood for an annual spot of cross border shopping, we checked out what was in the area. I had previously tried to float this boat and had been close but was prompted to have another go in advance of our sailing this time.
I was in touch with a helpful previous finder who initially gave me a completely bum steer, confusing it with a different cache but got back to me later to confirm that I was in the right direction in the first instance.
Having got a green light, the accurate co-ords had us in the right spot but it still took a while for eagle-eyed S to spot the prize. She then had assistance in guiding her hand to the spot.
It;s handy having a rookie gymnast for those awkward to get to spots. Nice location for a stroll even on an icy morning.

Today was the day for the inaugral Swedish Breakfast in the Belfast Ikea so inevitably there would be caching soon after!
The day started at 545am when, bleary eyed, I got ready and left the apartment for a meetup with Sarahmur at the similiarly awful time of 630am. Braving floods, rain and wind I drove her up to Belfast arriving at the event location around 845 hungry as hell to see an army of starving cachers waiting for grub! My usual savage greed of a 9 item fry, a cinnamon roll, and a mind expanding concoction of coffee and cola got working and soon there was plenty of Geochat around the two full tables. Around 1115 (it was that time ALREADY??), I got a tap on the shoulder from Halywid Hunters, who was kindly offering some 'payment' for the 10-cache-types run of a few weeks ago. The idea was to pick off a few caches to make the day worthwhile. And so, the four of us (Halywid Hunters, myself, sarahmur and theswerve) set out on what would be one hell of a good days caching.
Well, a few became five, five became ten and ten became twenty. Yes, twenty would be a nice number. Then a few more were decided upon.... it would have been a shame not to get thirty and equal my best day ever... but then the caches just kept coming. Forty was the final tally, with Sarahmur getting perilously close to 'accidentally' getting her 500th. The whole rampage involved a trip over to some of the local parks near Ikea, and all the way around the Holywood Dander series; a most enjoyable trail around a lovely town that I'd never been anywhere near before. With those conquered, the emphasis shifted to the North Down Coastal Path trail (or at least the ones closest to easy parking, there are a lot of them!). The CO was eager to show off some of his most prized containers... and there were some fantastic ones found along the way. The caching day ended with a handful of Sidetracked hides but with exhaustion and hunger beginning to take over this manic day came to a close... almost. Having parted ways with the group, I dragged sarahmur off to my 'must-do' non caching trek to Sainsburys where a quite extraordinary amount of cake was bought by yours truly. Just over two hours later we were back in Dublin, shattered but happy. Sarah headed home with her prize (Lemon Sorbet which you can't get in Dublin) and I collapsed in the bed. What a great day of caching, in great company!
I thought I needed the DT for this but sadly I already have it. Nice little puzzle though... once the CO told us about the cache page I had an inkling what I would have tried as my first approach and it turned out I was right. Thats rare for D5 puzzles... if only it would happen on some of the sticklers in Dublin that are polluting my nice tidy map...
Nice to pick this one off and yet again I was given the difficult task of retieval, which I did without slipping/falling/getting stung.
