We were able to complete a nice lap here. One or two caches took a bit of effort for us as Germans. There is a different nature 15,000 km away. The cans were usually found quickly. Every now and then ants were annoying.12.05 pmTFTC # 3029
The the family were taking it easy today, so I headed just down the road to work on the CRY series. There's an interesting teddy bears picnic thing going on near GZ. I spent some time picking up the toys which had fallen over. This was a nice quick find. The containers are usually darker than this one.Time to call it a day and head into to town as the family had gone out for lunch.---Over a week ago we made a trip up to Yeppoon to visit family and some of the big things dotted around the state. On the way we stopped off at Noosa Heads (big pelican) and Maryborough before staying in Hervey Bay (big whales) for a couple of days to break up the journey. Whilst in Hervey Bay we went out on a glass bottomed boat and explored Big Woody Island and Round Island. Onwards again and we visited Childers, Gin Gin and got stuck in a crazy tailback a few kilometers from Miriam Vale (big crab, big donut and big Magpie). It would have been rude not to pick up a cache or two on our journey North. We visited Great Keppel and did some snorkeling (and Jack spotted a large sting ray), Emu Park to view the Singing Ship, Rockhampton (big bulls) to visit the zoo (which I wasn't too keen on) and just about every restaurant and coffee shop in Yeppoon. It's a lovely part of the world. On the way back home (boo) we visited the caves at Cania Gorge and stayed overnight at the retreat and then on to the Three Moons Silo Mural, Gayndah (big orange) and then onto the Bruce and straight back home.Thanks!!#3533
1000th cache find! Nice and easy find. Tftc.

Traveling up to Qld from Vic with a muggle friend we've been staying in Emu Park with his family for the week before making our way back down the coast to visit my family on the way home over the next couple of weeks.
Seeing the C.R.Y. series before I had even left Victoria, I just had to convince my muggle friend to drive me out to search. Luckily it didn't take much convincing, and he always enjoys finding a cache or 2.
It took us just under 3hrs to complete the series. We started out parking the car in the middle of 3 caches and walking back and forth. Then, as the time wore on, we drove to each cache. Saw atleast 4 different types of ants, a huntsman and a couple of roos along the way. Thankfully no wiggly sticks!
At cache #13 I reached my 1000th cache find milestone.
Thanks dooghan and Temingi for placing and maintaining these caches.

Staying at Emu Park for a few nights, decided to go for a drive to explore a little today.
Don’t think I know this song, but I now have ideas for our toad trip playlist.
Once you see these they really jump out !

Taken a while to getting around to logging a few caches, time to play catchup.
I usually try to get the date vaguely right.
Out and about with our friend that we introduced to geocaching recently.
We decided to do a few more of the Cry series.
Gerry and the Pacemakers
(prefer their Ferry Cross the Mercy song)
Makes you wonder how bands come up with their names at times.

A planned trip north with a mate and his family, sees us checking out some of our great countryside. We got in some camping and in some not so usual spots. It has been fun and the best part is I get to cache in places I do not usually get to visit.
Today it was free time looking around Rocky. Then I get a call you still in Rocky. It was Triple turmoil saying she was heading to Yeppoon. We meet up around late lunchtime and got in some caching around Rocky and then into Yeppoon. Some dinner and then it was me back to my camp site. Another fun filled and another extreme day of caching.
We saw this power trail of 20+ caches and thought do we have enough time. Well let’s give it a go. Of the 20, we got 2 DNF’s, # 14 and #19, the rest were easy enough finds with some taking a little extra time than the usual park and grab. We had a good plan and it worked well and finished up in under 90 mins.
Thanks for the cache and the hide, I signed the log and returned the cache as found.

After meeting up with Chamad, we worked our way through some of the puzzles and trads around yeppoon.
It took us an hour and a half to run through this power trail. Unfortunately there were a couple of dnfs. Oh well. Adds a little colour to the map and targets if I am ever back this way.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 120. Yeppoon Day 1. After a long night with light rain, I was up and ready to go. I first went for a lab at Wreck bay, then went on to the CRY series. It seems that all the money spent up here has not led to a long term success. At least the road has a good set of caches on it. I stopped for a few more on the way home.
With traffic whizzing by I pulled over and found all of these caches I had on my list today. One took two visits and an ant infested tree was quite a challenge. A few of the hides were very well done.
Thanks for the cache Temingi

Great series.
We were out today to try our luck at this series and also the finish the Adventure Lab and grab a couple of Earth caches.
We have done heaps and heaps of power Trails and series of caches over the years but this one would have to be one of the best we have attempted. Coordinates were spot on making most of them easy finds and there was plenty of parking on a surprisingly quiet road. Being all trads we didn't have to sit down and spend hours working out puzzles before we could start it was just a nice day out. We knew almost all the songs and were singing between caches, glad we were travelling alone. All caches were found today and all log books now contain our name. We apologise for the semi genetic log but it's very hard to write something different about each case but we will add something at the ones we remember. Please accept we do appreciate the time, effort and expense going to setting up and maintaining this series great series.
The least we can do is spend a bit of time and add the singers of these songs as requested.
Many thanks Temingi for a great series that we really enjoyed.
The singer was :- Gerry & The Pacemakers

On our TL 21 Caching Tour we headed out to start our day of our caching adventure though we would do this series. Found responsibly quickly TFTC
Been to Palm Cove and Yungaburra with my sister and 95yr old Mum and are now heading home. Planned a morning of caching here to do this power trail before heading to Bargara for our last night. Thanks Dooghan for the cache. Gerry and the Pacemakers sang this.
On a GC weekend in Yeppoon with Drennostar - thought we'd try our first power trail. We did about 50% so that we've got a reason for another weekend here down the track.
I'm hopeless with band names, so no idea about these songs. I'm singing this song in my head but have absolutely no idea who sang it!
This was a great hide - I love these containers.

A big full day planned with the team of hatzofff, grannysmith1947, RoddyC and youngoldfella. The day was picture perfect and we got so much enjoyment out of singing our way through this beaut series.
All caches found were in good condition and easy to spot, thanks CO for placing and my apologies for the generic logs.
