After a visit to the geo-mum with The Black Minion, I found myself free to get my daily smiley on the way home. I had changed my map filters during the day and discovered this cache which I hadn't noticed before. Maybe due to its disabled state...
It was night when I arrived. All I had to do was cross the cricket oval. Due to all day rain yesterday, I chose to change into my new hiking boots - just in case...
I headed out into the deserted darkness with bats flying silently overhead, and what looked like a cricket oval on the map was actually a broad paddock of knee high wet grass growing atop a bed of soft, sloshy mud.
I may have looked to an easier grab if I'd been able to assess the lay of the land from the carpark but I had already found myself in the lush bog by the time I realised. I'm sure this area isn't visited often at this time of year, but at least it's a good time to avoid 'wriggly sticks'.
The cache was found easily with good coordinates and I signed the soggy logbook before making the long, slushy walk back.
Thanks for showing me a new a new corner of the park, jdownie. Hopefully the cache gets the TLC it needs or else I might be the 300th and final finder...

### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED?** ###
I notice from one or more recent log entries that **this cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.** Therefore, I am temporarily disabling it so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
Prompt attention by cache owners to any log that indicates anything could be amiss is greatly appreciated by all seekers. The guideline advises; ***"if you can't check/fix it straight away then Disable it till you can."*** see here: [Owner is responsible for visits to the physical location,](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance ) and here's how; [Temporarily Disable and Enable,](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) also check out this Blog: [Helpful Tips To Keep In Mind As A Geocache Owner.](http://www.geocaching.com/blog/2015/03/you-hid-your-first-geocache-now-what/)
Please respond to this situation by **12th June** to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.
**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

Strolled around taking Autumn photos, getting closer to GZ. Once the GPS settled an easy find. Thanks jdownie for another reason to visit this great park.
Log books, very very wet and mouldy. I emptied out the water as best I could. Lid doesn't close very well. Needs some TLC.
Found quickly while out searching with Lurine, as others have mentioned previously, contents and log are wet and mouldy.
Yay found it!!! Was a very easy find but should have worn longer pants because the grass itched my legs...
Geonephew found it really quickly but contents are as said very damp and wet... signing book was soaked through too...
Found it - thank you! Unfortunately the contents are all damp and starting to go moldy
Got to GZ just as some muggles started playing nearby. Finally after searching around a bit had the cache in hand.
Co-ords were being a little funky but found it in the end. A nice easy one on a beautiful sunny day. Found with Sarrbear. Thanks for the cache.
Tried for this one last year in the dark. No luck then but easier today for a quick find thanks for the trad cache - picked up trackable. Grass very long on approach from side track today !
I walked the dog through the park this morning, and thought there should be a cache nearby. I pulled out the phone and bingo, there it was. tftc.
After a 2 week hiatus from riding due to Xmas gatherings, it was a ride from Ringwood golf course to grab a few caches. After a DNF on a multi, I started another multi that had a lot of waypoints, so I stopped along the way and diverted here. The grass looks long but once I was over the edge GZ was clear, thanks for the cache out here
Out and about doing some training for the Oxfam Trailwalker event. Today I walked 16km from Chadstone to Jells Park. I had found most of the caches along the way previously but this was one near to my end point. I actually took the long way around to it so probably gained my an extra km of training. Even then I approached from a difficult way I feel as once I found the cache there was a much easier exit route! Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache jdownie.
A nice walk in the park, accidentally walked through much overgrown grass and sticks. Try not to do that.
Thanks for the cache!

With the roar of wind through the overhead power cables it was an otherwise nice day. No rain as yet.
Thanks for the cache Jdownie.
Thanks for the cache Jdownie.
Found it with Victoria and Judith today. Nothing like a walk in the park in the rain.
It was pouring with rain, we'd just run aground on a multi after walking a couple of km, the kids were very wet and a bit bored, so we thought we'd go and grab this trad to make it all better again. The long grass was pretty saturated and you don't get into areas like this without getting wet trousers- unless, like me, you wear shorts! Then you just get wet shoes! Unless like Judith, you wear pretty spunky hiking boots (take a moment to drool over those, they were goooooood shoes) unfortunately for Sezzy - she had boots like mine and trousers like Judith so she was a tad damp all over. But she did have cool sunnies.
Nice size hide, dry log, everything was terrific!

Found after grabbing a few caches in this neck of the woods, slightly tricky to spot but otherwise an enjoyable hide. Thanks jdownie for the cache.

With the sun out on this winter morning, couldn't think of anything better than collecting some caches. Nice and easy find but my shoes got soaking wet! Should have walked the most direct root.
Cheers for the cache

Well, even though Jesse had hi-coughs and was really tired he found it. Start at the play ground it is not so wet in the grass. Nice cache.
Having missed out on a walk with my club I took off to this park to do a bit of walking. There were joggers everywhere doing the Saturday morning fitness jog. Had a lovely walk around the lake and then off to my daughters fete.
Cache is in good order. Thanks for the cache jdownie

### Find **# 3528** Traditional **#2752** ###
After visiting my Nan for her 87th birthday, we made our way to Jells Park. I have been here a huge amount of times over the years. We enjoyed a nice lunch with my folks before the geo kiddies and their nanna went to find this one. I think Nanna was just as excited to find this as the geo kiddies. No swaps in container but a nice easy one for the kids to find. Now off to see the ducks... Signed and returned as found.
**Thanks for this trad cache, j downie.** [^]
**Log and container in good condition.**
**Took Nothing, Left Nothing.**

I had a hole in my caching calendar and was trying to work out the best one to head towards given the light was fading very quickly. I ended up choosing this one and taking a detour home. I was pleased that it was a nice straightforward find even by bike light (light had totally gone by the time I arrived) - I didn't have to spend too much time foraging! TFTC!
Parked on the wrong side of the road and eventually turned my phone around. Quick walk on a quiet night with high tension cable work still going on in the area. Was an equally quick find with accurate coordinates and a quiet walk back to the car through the park. TFTC JDownie
Found while running a scout geocache event for 1st Rowville Cubs. Educated a muggle parent on this real cache who wants to take his kids caching now!
Grabbed this one while setting a caching night for a cub pack also being leap day I needed to fill the day in the calendar or wait another year Tftc
Easy find in a great park. My gps was a little jumpy, but just follow your instincts in general location. Tftc!
Found this one on returning from the nearby multis. Initially took the wrong track and took an ill-advised shortcut across soggy grass. Cache swiftly revealed itself once in the right area. Thanks jdownie!
Like the previous comment, was a little sceptical of heading into long grass on a hot day. Good little hiding place.
Couldn't find this one! Went to the spot shown in the photos and couldn't see anything after a 20 minute search. We also ran into a snake so you need to be quite careful with this one.
Nice easy find but definitely have to be discreet due to how remote the area is from the general layout of this area of the park. Probably should have not done it in my hi vis
Had to meet someone nearby to pickup stuff for the mega, but they were running late. So what else but find a cache.

Out for our walk and a cache as well. A nice easy find as the cache was somewhat exposed. Did ensure it was well covered but obvious to fellow cachers when we left. TFTC TNLN
I had the impression I logged this one a long time ago, but it seems that it had an error on my mobile. Therefore, the say of this log might not be precise
