I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi bumandworker
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

My records say I found this one, though logging this one three days later I annoyingly can't remember the hide.
Day 10 of my 2020 NZE (New Zealand Experience).
(My apologies for the delayed logging but I'm in catch-up mode)
Seeing as I can't be in America right now, I'm touring around the South Island instead. During my time here I am aiming to find as many of the TMGT caches as I can (preferably all 41) and also as many Virtuals, Earthcaches and Letterbox Hybrids as possible, plus any Trads or others that will fill a hole in my D/T grid, my Jasmer grid, or else the last 3 remaining Hidden Dates on that grid.
Having slept parked up in Kaikoura overnight, I awoke to a very fresh but otherwise beautiful morning. Today's plan was to drive from Kaikoura back to Christchurch to catch up with an old friend there before heading further south after that.
Whilst I would simply not be able to stop at every cache I was near on my tour (otherwise I'd be taking 2 years instead of just 2 weeks) I was happy to randomly stop at caches in locations that caught my eye occasionally to break up the journey, such as this one. That way I hoped to be able to add a few more Minutes to my quest to fulfil a Challenge Cache back home.
This location has had a VERY severe trim, to the point where the cache has almost certainly been removed/destroyed!

No luck here. As the COs coordinates are usually very accurate, I suspect with the recent tree trimming, it may have been disturbed.
Oh no, there was a small collection of vintage cars with their drivers taking a break at the entrance ... However this cache is so well placed that I was able to find and sign without being seen. Thanks b&w.
A quick find on my way to Kaikōura and only one other person in rest area and he was more interested in eating blackberries
Depending on which way you look around the tree can be an easy find. Found with orth21
Found with orth71. I went one way and she went the other and located the cache first.

Today is our second day traveling the south island and the 22nd day of our travels south. We had spent the night at Lake Elterwater and drove down to Kaikoura after eating a nice breakfast. After visiting the lookout we drove to the start of the Kaikoura Peninsula walkway and chose to go to the top lookout platform first before heading onto the rocks to look for seals. We could not find any seals on the rocks but enjoyed the walk no the less. On our way back we stopped at the food trailer and ate some nice fish before stopping for another earthcache. Afterwards we started heading to our camp for the night but had some time to do a few roadside caches along the way. This was the fifth of them after it got dark. A nice quick find. Tftc.
A quick find, it is obvious, and it was all quiet here. TFTC Bum. Last of the day, need to make tracks.
Homeward bound to Blenheim after a weekend in Chch, I have targeted a few caches on the trip back. In the end I did not get away until the early afternoon, so could not do some of the short walks I had planned. Just park and grabs then. Thanks all COs. Not many found but no issues with any of them.

An easy find while having a brief break on road from Hanmer to Kaikoura. Log wet, so left card from Hanmer restaurant. Tftc MattyH from Tassie
What a great tree and nice hiding place! The logbook is drenched though. Needs some tlc!! Tftc!
Found with NZDi. With the Christmas madness over and the extended family travelling near and far for their holidays NZDi and I found ourselves at a loose end. Not wanting to hang around home like Darby and Joan, we booked a couple of nights in a motel in Christchurch and headed off down the line... the newly opened State Highway One that is, which had been closed for one year, one month and one day due to the Kaikoura earthquake.
We were awestruck to see the power Mother Nature had wrought upon the landscape and were equally amazed at the engineering feats mankind had used to overcame Mother Nature's carnage. On our trip south we made a deliberate decision not to cache so that we could get a true indication of how long the trip now took. For us that was four hours and fifteen minutes including the three comfort/morning tea stops totalling around half and hour. A pretty good effort we thought and just over half the time it took us last time we went by the other route.
On day two of our visit we targeted a couple of areas to cache starting off with Hagley Park in the morning where after starting with a DNF we ended up with a 13 to 3 score sheet in our favour. That was followed by a walk around Roto Kohatu in the evening which resulted in a score sheet of 3/2 in our favour.
is day three of our trip and we are returning home. The traffic is a lot heavier than when we came south two days ago so that is going to make things interesting for caching along the way. As with all the caches we targeted on our trip home this was a QEF PnG. We pulled in here and NZDi dropped me off near GZ to look for the cache while she repositioned the geomobile for a quick getaway. I didn't find it in the first place I looked, but it was in the second. Now that I am home and logging, I can't remember why I said 'Put on your maintenance watchlist' on my original log,but it might pay to check next time you're down this way.

One of my fav ways of spending a weekend day - jump into the car with a direction in mind, stopping for caches along the way, enjoying the journey. This time I piled a couple of 'kids' into the car also, and we headed to Kaikoura making the most of the road being open for the weekend and not that much traffic thanks to the Picton detour still in place. Needless to say that we never made it as far as Kaikoura, although we leaft early enough and got quite close. Try explaining that on a monday at work - where did you go over the weekend? Well, Kaikoura, but we did not quite make it there. Oh, is the road still so bad? LOL!
Quick find after almost staking myself along the way on a sneaky branch! Nice scar to add to myself! TFTC!!

What an experience it has been caching in Kaikoura, every way you turned it was either mountain or sea scenery. We learnt so much abour the earthquake you had here last year,

See previous log for TheBuddyolpals. We just realised we have 2similar accounts so are merging them.
For some reason we drifted off course while looking for this cache. I spotted the likely hiding place, but I looked on the wrong side. Eventually I came back to it and spotted the cache. Time to head home. Tftc.
Out putting some 'run-in' kilometers on the new cachemobile. Decided to make this the last cache sought, as I headed south towards home. Not impressed that a stock truck driver has used the depression as a place to empty his effluent holding tanks into.[xx(] Replaced the torn baggie. Thanks for the cache B&W.
A good place to stop. We are on our way home and needed to stop. Could do with a new plastic bag. A bit chilly out today. Tftc.
Stopped on a local circuit grabbing caches.
Icy morning with puddles frozen. Took a bit of the rubbish away. More there for next cacher please. Thanks

With a few more days of holidays left we decided to head south again and find some caches we didn't have time to look for last week, plus some more off the beaten track. This was one of 51 found today.
Thank you to all CO's who made this possible.
Thank you to all CO's who made this possible.
Our recent multi day Canterbury cache raid was so successful we decided to have another one before the holidays finished. Again we got stabbed, prodded, pricked and scraped by the variety of hedges the region is so famous for. And of course we can now hold our breath a lot longer. A skill well worth developing to avoid breathing in part of the road surface every time a vehicle passes. Just over 200 finds were logged this time and a great time was had finding the caches with a variety of shapes, sizes and placements. A big thank you to all COs who made this possible.
On our New Zealand trip we also found this cache
Thanks for the Cache

Driving south from Picton to Parnassus today picking up a few caches along the way. A quick find in another lttle rest area. Thanks.
Chelzea and I on a day trip from ChCh to Kaikoura, North up SH 1 and then return via the inland road through Waiau. A good number of caches both on the way up and back but not as many in Kaikoura itself as we would have liked but a good trip never the less. Found many cool places and caches and thanks to all the CO's for their placements.

Found while on a cycle trip from Picton to Christchurch, great to combine cycling with my interest in Geocaching, and also have an excuse for a micro break. *TFTC bumandworker #8560*
A quick 24 hour trip away has been planned over the last couple of weeks and Greymouth was supposed to be the destination. Weather forecasts however were not looking too flash so late in the week we changed the booking and decided a night in CHCH was on the cards and let mrs capperz see the change from her last visit 8 years ago, how time flies! On the road at about 6.30 so able to avoid any of the potential traffic snarl ups and see the coast line in its early morning glory, nice. Over the weekend a little bit of caching diversity, plenty of wonderful places visited and a FTF to boot! Really windy day on Friday followed by drizzly rain on the Saturday but the explorers will prevail and sights will be seen, caches will be found!
Day 2 of our visit and a slow trip North to get back home via a few places. Have changed drivers over to mrs capperz and I'm navigating us to a few last caches before we get to the yellow smiley faced map that is my locale
Quite a bit of fruit growing over the road, cherry plums and apples
Cache a Q E F once on the right side of the road

Stopped here for a break mid-journey. Of course there's a cache here. TFTC and a chance to stretch my legs. Wattle tree or bottle tree? Certainly plenty of rubbish here
On a day trip to Kaikoura to see some seals so did a few caches on the way home.
Easy find on the side of the road. Found, signed and returned. Thanks for the cache.

One of 16 located on our stop-start drive from Christchurch to Kaikoura. After lunching at Cheviot and intending to drive from there to Kaikoura without stopping, found myself looking for another four caches en route. This was one of them. A quick find after making hard work of locating the previous cache. #957. TFTC.
Wasn't sure this one would still be there with all the rubbish around but happy to report all is still good with this cache. Found with Aoraki Sheep.

Mega trip to NZ: day 3, alone with my beloved squib. We wanted to drive to Kaikoura and find some caches on our way. My husband noticed sign Scenic route and scenic it was! Thanks for the fun and greetings from Finland.
Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!

11th day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards north. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. We made it to Christchurch, and now it is already to start heading back home, fortunately first driving back to Auckland.

[green] At last I am on my way to the mega. Two weeks of insane caching in Christchurch. Looking at 7 Badgegen upgrades, a 200+ cache day and, of course, the Mega. But first I have to get there. It took me 9 hours to drive to Christchurch, pretty much what I expected, found 55 caches along the way.
Interesting fruit tree here. Photo to upload later.

Found on the drive north from Christchurch to Golden Bay. On the road before sunrise and I was timing the journey to be in Nelson by 4pm to meet dad at the airport. The weather was not too bad most of the way, but starting getting a bit dodgy through The Whangamoas. Quick find at this cache. TFTC (2424)
Nice easy find some one parked in the driveway parked out on the road did the big Walk in
Driving Christchurch to Picton, picking up some more minutes for my 400 minute challenge. Most finds were park & grab. Thanks for the cache.
