I do not intend to enter into correspondence with the CO on this other than to respectfully ask that he immediately remove the offensive comments he has made about me in his previous post. If they are still there in 24 hours his offensive behaviour will be reported to gc.com. I am sending a "heads up" to a local reviewer as well. For the benefit of accuracy, the only email I have sent to the CO was late last year, via gc.com, and it was in reply to a message he had sent me. The email politely and respectfully explained why I felt a hint should be added to the cache page (obviously to help limit cacher exposure to muggles in such a high visibility location and after the police had already been called to this cache). I am happy to provide the text of the message to anyone as confirmation that it was a perfectly OK email. This cache clearly breached gc.com rules on private property. End of.
I can understand now why I have not found this on previous visits- I was naive enough to assume that it wouldn't be on PRIVATE PROPERTY! Now I understand daywalk's comment in her log- "Not quite public enough". If the CO has permission for the cache to be on private property then it needs to be stated on the cache page. No wonder one cacher had the police called on them. This cache needs to be sorted asap- either permission sought for it to be there (and the fact noted on the page) or it should be removed immediately. This is not about being the "fun police"; it is about caching responsibly so that the long-term future of the game is not compromised. Caches that break the rules of the game as well as laws about private property are not in the best interests of the game.
I see it hasn't been found for ten days and the number of people who have it on their watchlist is going up. So will stick my neck out- information about the hiding place fell into my lap a few days ago . When I went to the hiding place I couldn't find the cache. Can see a probable hidey-hole but it was empty. Is it possible the cache has been muggled? The grass all around the cache has recently been cut. Just a thought.
Ha ha, yes the cache is there. A very clever hide, enjoyed this one. Many thanks for the cache and the laugh
Hey, woof... JC Cache Dawg here...
I'm loading all my finds from my Alpha Males (aka GenCuster) logs, where he deigned to remember that I was with him... As if he could forget...17/01/13 16:10

Excellent work on the container, just a bit unsure about the location? Definitely not where I would have expected it, had to TAF to narrow target area. TFTC!
17/01/13 16:10 JC Cache Dawg would've liked to sniff this out. In the end, TF, HM, V & I progressed slowly and methodically, avoiding all electrical components (thanks for the warning ). Bonus? It had stopped raining and was slightly warmer than 5 minutes earlier... Cheers, GC.
Later - 16:30: hailing now...

Quick find thanks, not sure how long it will last tho as the lid is very loose. May need maintenance.
Called past in the rain, good time to do it, no-one about. Amazed to find it on first scan. Spot is a bit too public and also not quite public enough. Excellent craftsmanship!
I lost count of my visits (I work nearby), mostly rechecking the same spots. I did look all around the hide, without seeing it, a couple of times though.
All the hints you need are probably on the page, mostly in the logs, although they are pretty subtle.
I finally found it by giving my GPS plenty of time to settle and, having looked everywhere else within "the zone", looking in the last place properly.
I've never seen one of these before, as a cache, and I think I would give it an extra couple of stars of difficulty, but that's just me. I found it at night.

An obviously challenging hide (perhaps difficulty rating needs to be raised?) in an area with a very high likelihood of being observed and no hint. Probably was only a matter of time of time before unwanted (and unnecessary) attention was attracted. Perhaps time has come to add a hint so as to reduce risk of police being called again? Just a thought.
All returned and good to go again Had some man glue so should be good for a while longer.
CO Sorry I didn't realise the shop shut at 4

Oh boy what excitement - out with Ingidayna and Cachemanchris and the police stop by to see what we are up to. Just Geocaching sir - yes we have found it, signed it and just about to replace it, but had a bit of an accident and it needs repaired. No worries its all good. Not a bus stop cache but very goood camo, well done to you. TFTC
OH dear did we have our troubles with this cache.... Located clever hide after some time eliminating all other possible locations just as I was about to say lets return another time. YAY then the fun began. Broke the cache, dropped all other bits and took time to find them all again ijn the long grass, and then once we finally did that and had came up with a plan (as it was broken) and then the boys in blu arrive... what are you up to he asks well we are geocaching ahhh he had heard of it before and radio,ed thru nothing suspecious happening here, I tried to return cache but my plan was a lemon so hummed and haared with now 2 police cars watching me as to what to do so I HAVE THE CACHE IN MY CARE. I will try to repaire and replace tomorrow... BUGGA
Guwapo and Papa are out caching with our fishing buddy. No luck today despite an extra pair of eyes!!
Looked for this just as darkness fell and given that it is obviously a little tricky that probably wasn't a sound move. Will come back in daylight.
Went back with a new idea after reading someone else's log but no that earthwire is real. Yikes, might be worth a warning. Almost got muggled out due to kids playing outside a few doors down but in the end GZ was well screened. Definitely not what I was expecting though I should have expected it as a possibility...
TFTC and another calendar day filled in: 301? Out of 366.

Went twice. 2nd time with a lot more time and a lot less rain. Had a good look around with a good torch. Found a few likely places, but no cache.
Stood at GZ and considered the title. Late Sunday afternoon is clearly when the locals go out strolling and dog walking, so we moved on.
Found this one after picking up the FTF nearby. No one around before 7am so could have a good look, spotted something worth a try and the cache was in hand.
Very clever, I havn't found one of these before.

A clever wee hide!, spent a bit of time looking at the obvious and then something caught my eye!
Thanks

Spent a few minutes on the hunt before the penny dropped. A very nice hide, a tick will be given soonest.

had no luck drove in from south otago to have a crack at a ftf, spend a fair bit of time looking, went away and came back a few times to no avail.
Pipped to the post by TEF (oh well, someone has to work nights!). Still a FDF (thinking about going up to Nelson for holidays, so getting used to their lingo). Very nice hide, though only took a couple of minutes to find. Kia ora for the cache Jtoschi.
Finally! Took Mr T.E.F back to have a look on the way home from University and when he'd given up I suggested one last thing that I thought it could've been from my original search but which I was too scared to try...success!! Well done Jeremy...more caches like this are needed A definite favourite from us!

Darnnit. No joy for me so will have to ge Mr T.E.F on to this one. Someone else will have to have the FTF joy instead!
22/11. Pleasant lunch time stroll to attempt the FTF but denied. Not fussed tho as it was really nice to get out and catch some vitamin D. Looked everywhere, at least everywhere I could think of...gave me som evil dastardly ideas too.
