Im fairly sure this needs replacing. We have searched thoroughly twice. There’s an obvious hiding place (not the big stump) with no cache in it.

21-May-22
Didn’t fall for the decoy; still no luck. Quite sure we searched the right place (deeply!)

02-Jan-22
Also found the marble, not sure if that is where it is supposed to be or not?

24-Dec-21
Found a spot matching the description and hint exactly. Nothing in it though except for a marble!

19-Sep-21
Finally found one.. phew.
Thanks to BaLuke for the placement and fun.

19-Sep-21
Don’t be fooled by the big stump!!

A quick find

28-May-21
Once i found a spot to park I had no problems, other than wet feet, here.
Thanks for this one BaLuke

OK, this is a bit tragic, but I now have a bunch of draft logs that are up to two months old. My plans of writing entertaining and informative tales for each one, illustrated with terrific photos, have become a bit ambitious. I will embellish where I can, and come back to some later, but will have to make do with generic logs for now.

Of course, this is not to disregard the appreciation I have for those who have placed and maintain each of these caches. I love youse all. TFTC Smile

Thanks for the cache BaLuke.

I love walking beside rivers because it is usually peaceful. The cache was found quickly and easily.

28-Dec-20
Nice hidden spot and good location for the cache (though obviously the very big stump nearby seemed where we were heading!). TFTC!

TFTC. Very wet underfoot, and trying to push the bike was hard (even harder was trying to ride). An adventure even getting here. I cycled along the Plenty river trail from Main Road, crossed the bridge, and took a dirt (well muddy trail) following the river back towards the cache behind the houses. Found a great open park behind the houses. Kept on treking along as far as I could go realizing that i was so close yet so far.

I had to back track, through the onto the road, through the suburbia, trying to find the way to access the area. Well it took an extra 45 minutes when I could of taking this way from main road originally. Took a lot of effort as the grass was very wet and water logged, making it slippery and hard to pedal. The area is so nice, so I am certainly not complaining Smile.

Eventually found the area where the GZ was. GPS liked to jump around the place. Took 10 minutes of hard searching and managed to find the cache. Notebook was dry and in a good state. Took the trackable Holiday Bug, planning to move it along next time Im able to cache.

Thank you BaLuke for the mini adventure. Its a really lovely park, and along the river. Never knew it even existed!

Pretty sure the family and I were in the correct sport but had no luck poking around the Grand Canyon.

Out caching this afternoon with the geokids and the geodog. It was getting quite hot as we trekked up to this cache. Luckily it was a quick find for the geokid. Dropped a TB. Now time for a well deserved ice cold drink and a sundae for the geokids to cool us down. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache BaLuke.

24-Jul-19
Nice quick find while we were in the area

18-Jul-19
The description warned of tricky terrain past GZ, so I picked my way carefully down and spotted it . And signed it. Thanks BaLuke

Found @16:15 on my way home from work. This is my third time stopping here as I attempt to keep a streak going as long as possible without deviating too much from my route home. By far my favourite of the 3 caches in the area - a lovely secluded spot I never would have visited without geocaching. Left pencil pack and shop kind, took nothing. TFTC!

#220

Been eyeing these caches off for a few weeks now, so decided to take the geo pup and kid for a morning stroll before the rains set in and we made it back to the car just in time.

Lovely view of the river from the GZ, had to be careful because Geo dog was proving to be at a high risk of pulling me down into the gorge.
Was about to give up and then I used the clue which narrowed my search a fair bit.

15-Aug-18
Oh dear. Had a really good look, no find

22-Apr-18
Caught up with a muggle friend around the corner and saw that they had a few caches almost in their backyard! So put the leash on the dogs and went for a walk. Thankfully, they know all the shortcuts and goat trails around the place, so it didn't take long before we were at Ground Zero. After a brief hunt of The Red Herring, I wandered over and spotted an over-full cache. Emptied it of rubbish, signed log and replaced carefully. Thanks for the cache!

Nice easy find in the fading light with slipscache. On the walk back nearly stumbled over what we thought was a snake but it was a blue tongue lizard which had been attacked and was long gone.

We found this cache today at 5:40pm as number 19 of 19 on our CSS Plus Afternoon I.

Having been fortunate enough to visit the real Grand Canyon back in 2009, I can say that we were all blown away by the sheer size and majesty of this unbelievable natural feature.

Then a few years later in 2015, we were going to be travelling through Alabama and at the tourist information centre on the Florida border, we enquired about Alabama's must see features. The very nice lady described Little River Canyon as Alabama's answer to the Grand Canyon and a must see. And so we did. Now, we did have a very nice time there and it was very pretty but having it compared to the Grand Canyon was really like comparing the Eureka Tower to the Ice Cream Kiosk near the St Kilda Pier. They are both very nice to visit and you can buy an ice cream in both places but as far as size goes, they are in two different leagues.

So onto this canyon. Really nice to see and visit and we had a great time....however....this canyon is to Little River Canyon as the Little River Canyon is to the Grand Canyon. But good times though, good times were had by all.

Thanks from D, HA & A B-A.

We had a family get together at the nearby pub and found this cache on a walk after lunch.
It was a nice walk to the Canyon and we found the cache easily.
Thanks for the hide.

It was fantastic travelling around finding Geocaches.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.

03-Jul-16
This was my second ever geocache thankyou i never new there was a park there

21-Apr-16
Needing one cache for today I selected this one, which was MIA last time I visited. I knew where I had searched last time so today I looked in other spots and nearly missed the cache again, as it was so well hidden. After signing the log and re-hiding the cache I walked gently over to inspect the Grand Canyon.
Thank you baluke for highlighting this piece of landscape and for replacing the cache after it went missing.

17-Apr-16
Great hiding spot. Nice quick find here today. Managed to not disturb the local dogs on my way over to the cache, only on my way back... Thank you for the cache BaLuke.

25-Mar-16
Quick find after crossing the river from the walking track

27-Feb-16
After previous DNFs here Benjoda and I decided to come for a look see after a relatively local FTF.

Barking dogs did their best to alert the muggles and rouse them from their slumber however they were not successful and we were.

TFTC good to see this one back in action!

26-Feb-16
Really fun cache it got my adrenaline pumping when I thought it was the stump at the cliff but overall really fun

20-Feb-16
After a morning caching with the family around Donvale I dropped them off to put their feet up whilst I grabbed a few more caches. I decided that I would hunt around the Montmorency area.
A quick find. TFTC.

Out today with tinkertraveller. Although we were talking a lot we also had a very good look around this area. We looked under, over, inside and out. We moved rocks and logs, but the cache did not reveal itself to us.
We will wait for baluke to rebuild the cache and then we will search again.

13-Oct-15
Out caching today with Cathlud. Had a good hunt for this one until Cathlud read the recent logs and we realised it has gone MIA. We still had a decent hunt though, in case it had gone astray nearby.... but no luck. Will return when CO has reinstated it.

09-Oct-15
Went to replace log book but couldn't find it!

I'll build another but in the meantime if anyone finds it let me know.

Quick find with Prin666cess Smile TFTC

29-May-15
Found it on an after school outing with jeckleberry and tedd. Needs a new log book as the one there full.

Out on an afterschool adventure with MiloBeans. The GPS was taking us all over the place with this one and wanted us to go down that slope. Just before we decided which Geokid to sacrifice in the name of finding the cache, Milobeans made the find. Thereagain, my geokid#2 would've been happy sliding down that slope, school uniform and all. She was gutted not to explore it further!
Thanks

18-May-15
nice day out tftc

17-May-15
A bit of caching was in order today after one of those weeks that was full of tasks.
the afternoon was spent doing leisurely walks along with a few quick pickups.
Many thanks to baluke for the effort and placement of this cache. TNLN SL

17-May-15
After a busy week at work and home rennos going on we took some time out for caching. We set off with no firm plan just a general direction predicated on a late afternoon requirement. The weather was good and the cache found. TNLN TFTC SL

11-Apr-15

03-Apr-15
Found on a brief geocaching outing. Crikey that's a big ditch.
Took a while to locate but not too near precipice fortunately.
Thanks baluke.

15-Mar-15
Got it!

07-Mar-15
Took us awhile we nearly gave up. Do not risk the steep hill u do not need to. Down at your feet.

07-Mar-15
Wow tricked us at first, no need to scale cliffs! TFTC

06-Mar-15
Found at 14:16
A nice walk up from the field has me in the area and happily I found the cache in the first place I looked. Once signed and replaced I took the time to have a look down the creek. I was careful not to get too close to the edge.
Thanks BaLuke for the cache. I love finding hidden little spots like this.

26-Jan-15

29-Dec-14
Thanks

21-Nov-14
Found it, though it took longer than it should have thanks to the nosy neighborhood gardener!

16-Nov-14
From previous logs thought I might have trouble with this one but located easily (once I was on the correct side of the river!). The river does have some impressive cliffs.

06-Nov-14
Pretty sure I wrote the 4th on log oh well. Talk about Grand Canyon almost took my breath away as the gps was telling more that way, mmmmm. After doing a bit of a recce of the photos narrowed my search and found, the clue threw me off a little I was thinking of something else. Thanks for brining me here with the walk around the baseball field bringing back memories of my teenage years. TFTC!

02-Nov-14
TFAnotherC BaLuke. Noelle04 went haring down the wide track for this one from right field. Past barking dogs intent on protecting their territory from behind their fences. Like some other previous logs. Our GPS's were all over the place. Extended the search area and found in what looked like an obvious potential camo place. Jimmytherat.

02-Nov-14
After Jimmytherat decided to widen the search we realised GPS was leading us astray. Great hide in a very interesting area. A bit of a muggle fest but sat down to enjoy the view so didn't look too suss! Thanks BaLuke.

29-Oct-14
Nearly gave up when sprung by an old lady muggle peering at us through her gate! Glad we persevered.

19-Oct-14
Checked on it today
Still intact, returned it to its hidey hole

29-Sep-14
Looked and looked. Gave up but kept looking on walk back. And all if a sudden there it was 20mt from where my GPS said

24-Aug-14
Is not here anymore

22-Aug-14
After walking from the 2 baseball themed caches, it was a quick find here after walking past the barking angry dogs. Tess just ignored them, satisfied that she was outside and enjoying herself. Thanks again baluke, done a few of yours today, all enjoyable.

14-Aug-14
saw a small Canyon and got the locals Dogs going....TFTC

10-Aug-14
Interesting spot. I had the cache located a few meters away. Geo kid stumbled across it. Did not need to go as far down the bank as I thought. TFTC.

20-Jul-14
I had the coordinates for a solved puzzle in the area to fill a D/T square today. The weather was great today for winter so I headed over to the Eltham area and did a few more caches in the area since I haven't really cached around here before.
After parking in the suggested parking area and being muggled out at "Left Field" I headed over to this cache and apart from the woofing dogs a few houses from GZ which stopped after I'd passed I made a nice quick find once I arrived. I then headed back over to "Right Field" to look for that. Wow that cliff is steep.
Thanks baluke for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

05-Jul-14
Haha

04-Jul-14
Groonga!

03-Jul-14
Another great area near where I live that I have never visited and should have. Walking up to the GZ I didn't know how close I would have to get to the edge of the big drop. I asked Darcy to sit down as I did not want her to go anywhere near the edge, where the GPS was telling me to go. But then I spotted something........ and there it was. Another well hidden cache that was a pleasure to find. Thanks BaLuke.

15-Jun-14
The 'canyon' was surprisingly steep, and at first I expected the cache to be in a stump down the hill a bit, which led me to a potentially dangerous trek, until I decided to head back to the top. I saw a likely spot immediately, and the cache was indeed there. TFTC

14-Jun-14
Arriving at GZ I was amazed at how quickly the landscape rises. This was a lovely spot and I enjoyed sitting on the log and signing the cache while taking in the view of the creek. Thanks to BaLuke for the cache.

22-May-14
Having previously been to GZ this cache was giving me nightmares. My first attempt was after finding the two adjacent caches by baluke, but I decided to err on the side of caution due to fading light. Coming back in the cold light of day I thought I would have a better chance. And so I did, and thankfully my nightmares didn't come to fruition. Much easier than I thought. The only real obstacles today were the dog just down a bit, and the neighbour with no back fence that came out to take the washing in while I was there.

Thanks baluke for another great cache.
