Found the location easily at 9:30 AM Monday morning (little activity nearby), but after 30 minutes searching, including decryting the clue, viewing the photos, and reading previous logs for clues, I became convinced that the cache has gone AWOL. Seems like the cache should be archived until it can be verified present.

Regrettably, I think it's time to archive this cache. As Bangkok's first cache, it has served its purpose of introducing geocaching to this area. This is a popular park, and the cache site was just a little too exposed, apparently. If a local geocacher wants to adopt this cache number and use it to establish a new cache somewhere in the park, I have no objection.

My GPS was at first pointing me a 10 - 20 meters away, so i was searching by some benches elsewhere, so i re-entered my co-ords, which got me closer, but still not exact. i had an idea where it was, so i went to check internet to look at pics, and confirmed I was looking in right place.
Spent a long time digging in holes in the pouring rain, and ruined my toothbrush in process. I think i must have looked pretty weird of anyone saw me!

We came, we saw, but we didn't find. We suspect that we knew where it was, but it was too far in for us to know for sure. Nice park though! Figured it was Bangkok's version of Central Park.

Found by Team piggy.
A great place for a walk admist the smog-jungle of Bangkok !
Found it easily and the device at the rear of it made it easy to get it out too!
The security guards where sitting in the rotunda with an eagle eye I noticed, so sat with Mrs Piggy and read the local paper for a bit whilst doing the business on the cache.
Left HK dollars, took nothing.
Professor piggums, Bahhley, Surfin Sam and Disney flag Travel Bugs all came for the visit.

Our first international cache!!!!

Found quite easily at 8am in the morning before the heat and the crowds.

Very nice place to visit. The open air karaoke was a bit bewildering though.

We stopped off in Thailand enroute to Australia and Fiji.

What a place Thailand is!! I would highly recommend the Island of Koh Samui. Four days on the Island and three in Bangkok just weren't enough by a long way...........

Thanks Nick & Ali

The cache has been replaced and is ready to be found again. Difficulty rating has been increased for reasons that will be obvious once you locate it. Have fun!

It appears this cache has been plundered. I will attempt to replace this cache in another location within the park on my next visit (~Feb'03).
