Its Queens Birthday Weekend so we are off caching for the long weekend. Todays route took us from Motueka through the Rai Valley to Blenheim. A quick find and sign but we couldnt spot the humorous sign. Thanks for placing this cache here for everyone else's enjoyment.
A quick find while in the area dropping off TBs at a nearby cache. All in good order, TFTC
We stayed at the wonderful Corru Gates and of course we found out that there is cache close to us. On the way back from a tour, we stopped st the entrance and logged this cache. TFTC
Graemey & Mrs Graemey from the UK when visiting friends in Mapua we took them out caching and they entered into the spirit of the game and we found this cache after a bit of searching.TFTC-Nice Hide,
At the end of the day I had a little walk By the way I found this nice box.
Thank you for hiding.
Thank you for hiding.
We have to admit to not understanding anything about the name of this cache. At gz we did find a sign saying manu gate but didn't really understand that either. We did manage to find the cache without any issues. Thanks toSobad for the cache. You can explain this to us when we next meet.
Finally, the day has come and I have arrived to New Zealand. This three week long trip has been planned for more than 6 months. First of all, I was going to visit my daughter and her boyfriend, who has been on the islands for almost one year, next was to see as much as possible of both North and South islands. My daughter had done a day to day planning on where to go and what to see. This trip was not planned as a Geocaching trip, but we should definitely search for some caches all over the islands.
Day 9. Motueka
In the afternoon, we took a short walk around I the neighborhood to look for some hidden boxes. This one was easy to find. Logged together with Klövsson and Familjenloov. Tftc

I have de-muggled myself and as the landowner beside this geocache I am proud that this is my first find. We welcome geocache here.
I'm no longer a muggle! Having found the cache at the bottom of our drive, I can now understand all those suspicious people I've bumped in to here these last 4 years! Reading the Activity Log was VERY entertaining! I am now a registered geocacher. I have resurrected the sign (even though we have re-branded) so you can enjoy the wit. Yes, we enjoyed creating the name that is so related to 'Ripple Effect' and it is the name of one of our 3 holiday accommodations - so named because as a child I made a corrugated iron canoe and I explored the mangrove estuaries of the north in it. Kissing Gate is our luxury glamping site and Copper Gate is an eco-savvy 4 bdrm house and Corru Gate is a 3 bdrm cottage if you're interested.
Although been past here before, I am glad to have a reason to stop for a closer look at the creativity.

There was not much I could do, but I needed to crawl to this cache at a snail's pace as the evening sun, low in the sky, and the direction I was driving made for a tricky combination...is that a road, a driveway or a ditch!
I was eventually able to pull up very close to the GZ and after a brief search was able to grab the cache.
Thanks

A little prickly but found reasonable quickly. We enjoyed the signs and the countryside.tftc today.
Found it! Sadly the sign has been changed and so the clue doesn't really help, which left us a little sour. Lots of fun hunting though!
No problems here - another good find with Just-Lookin.
Enjoying the drive around the area.

Great for a first find!!! After a very rewarding 5 minutes of searching!Looking forward to finding more!
#7649. We felt rather exposed at searching at GZ and two or three cars went past before Troodles located the cache. TFTC.
We hadn't read the cache page nor did we notice the sign, so weren't sure what the title referred to. Will have to slow down and have look next time we are driving past here.
Cache wasn't an instant find, (it was the first for the day so the GPSr was still rather erratic) but tracked it down in the end. TFTC.

A nice little pun to finish our caching in the area as we head home today. Log is damp and disintegrating a bit. TFTC
An evening drive, took a bit of finding as the satellites were playing up.
Had a chuckle.

First time along this road - out trying to find the Seaton Valley walkway. Cache was a bonus - also found a very large green frog . TFTC.
Out exploring some areas of Nelson we are not so familiar with and found this geocache along the way. Yes it did make us smile .
staying with friend and after visiting her father tried for this one. She translated the sign for me. TFTC
Out on a streak.Reading this one before going out to find it and it read not recommended to do at night. We went out late and driving down the road at 700mtrs to go all lights on park creeping along the road untill we got to GZ.No problem with the find with no one around to see us at all.TFTC
Streaking today for a different goal and that is to achieve 30 in a day for my MGSc qualification. Mrs M in a weak moment agreed to navigate me around a pre-planned route and I would have to say without her assistance I would probably still be out there. Left home at 12:30 pm and back again at 5:00 pm with 29 under the belt and with #30 planned to be a night time FDF of The Streak #3 which is just 100m from home. Fingers crossed that doesn’t go belly up. Find #17. Had to wait for some muggles to wander by and then made the quick grab. TFTC
TFTC. I was delighted to tick this off my list as it was AWOL the first time I looked.
Thanks SoBad for placing the cache.

Today I Went for the 100 caches in 1 day. With a very early morning and just breaking even at lunch time with 50, it looked like it was going to be 12am to 12pm. But after a move out of the city they started to speed up, and i managed to grab the last at 20:30 with 106!! Thanks everyone for the caches that they have placed, from the ones that have been planed for months to the park and grabs
On dusk we found this cache. Attacking mosquitoes and blackberry prickles in fingers were worth it. Some hours later we clanged to the nearby signs cleverness and also the cache name. Well done. TFTC
Followed a very curved line to this one but found it no trouble as coordinates were spot on. TFTC.

Found while doing a bit of caching in the area before getting some supplies from Mot. SL TFTC
Nice One!!!!!!!!!Very unique! An iconic rural scene in one direction and a yuppy life style in another. Clever theme for a cache placement. Much fun. Thanks
Gosh. How many times have I biked past this, and can't remember ever noticing it. May be too much sweat anfd puff happening . Thanks team SoBad
For me this was the ripple effect of finding caches from the event and back home. A nice wee seat to sit and watch/listen to the ripple effect while signing the log. TFTC #4240
loved it and loved the name everything was great about this cache thank you so much TFTC.
With Mrs Biggles out all day doing a mosaics course and Miss Jarzoo busy studying for her final school exams I decided to take Flying Phoenix out caching for a while. This was the first cache we came to. Finally got the cache name after we found the cache. FP found this one in a spot I'd already quickly checked. TFTC, Biggles.
I did want to find a cache today, but somehow work got in the way. Then after dinner, the discussion started about where the nearest cache might be. Well this one didn't quite qualify, but it was the one we chose to go for. After a little search, and a sneak look at the hint, the cache was in hand - - - the ripple effect admired - - - ripple effect - - - oh look there - - - and it was back for the second and final course (tea). Had been looking at a few of these caches in our general area and thought tonight we would nip out and do a nice little night run. A nice quiete night out and no muggles to worry about it was a quick grab and sign TFTC
Have been saving some local caches up for a night caching run - so thought we would do a few tonight No cars and no muggles made this a reasonably quick find - signed log admired the ripple effect and moved on thanks for the cache
Please do not block the driveway when you park. The cache is at an obvious spot to stand to take a photo but clear of the road and drive.
We decided on a quick drive out here before dinner since there were two new caches in the area. The sign was soon found so then a short hunt took place. Cache eventually in hand once the GPS settled, log signed then on to the next one. TFTC.
With 2 new caches and a pleasant early evening we went for a drive. We're slowly getting very familiar with the area... It took a bit for the GPS to settle but it was all good. TFTC
Got caught by the owner of the drive-way. They did believe I just stopped for a picture, but obviously weren't relaxed with finding me there. #CS#
