Up this way with ABCDF4 for a few daysSo to the CO for making our time away enjoyable
A beautiful spot here indeed! Just lovely. Cache was out on the open so after signing we put back in line with the hint. Tftc.
Our final cache on our kayaking and geocaching adventure. After a previous DNF, but some fun playing with puppies, it was nice to be able find this one pretty easy. Glen had spotted the cache before I even made it to GZ, I was still arguing with my phone to work out where I was. Simple hide, but worked really well. Thanks for the cache and bringing us to this lovely area. #1746
An oldie but a goodie. Blistering wind tunnel through here today, peaceful and secluded though. TFTC
A nice quick find. We missed the G-2 camoes while we were in the South Island. Cache is all good. Thanks for the placement.
Headed up this way again as we spotted a trail of challenge caches we had qualified for, so thought to make a day of it...Joined by team HeMaLuDy, well actually HeMa only .....
Parked up and headed to this cache to start the day....
The cache was all good.

The Stik-A-Crane's planned to do this costal walk and a nearby series on a road. Mr and Mrs HeMaLuDy decided to join them for the adventures. Beautiful weather allowed us to really enjoy this very pleasant coast line. Followed the hint for a nice quick find of the container with its cool cammo. TFTC
I have a newbie with me, I've already spotted the cache but I'm waiting for him to find.
Such a lovely location with a great outlook across to Arkles Bay. Quick find, thanks!
This morning, the new cache along here was still unlogged. Mini McArgister is away on camp so Mrs McArgister and I fancied a walk and persuaded Micro to join us with the lure of McDonalds for lunch. We didn’t rush as the unlikely FTF wasn’t the primary objective for once and sure enough, while eating lunch and charging the car in constellation drive, the found it log popped up. It didn’t matter as we still wanted the walk and this area that none of us had been before was a fantastic way to spend the afternoon. 5yo Micro picked up, discounted, then spotted the cache, much to his delight. Great camo once again! Thanks for the close-up cache!
Reminiscing about old times when I came out here with my friends to play and on my wedding day for photos.
Thank you very much for this cache.
Thank you very much for this cache.
Fortunately there were no muggles around this pretty little hidden spot and we were able to make a quick and unimpeded find.
Nice camo as always. Thanks G-2.
Nice camo as always. Thanks G-2.
Find number 6597. Decided to do a couple of days caching in the area. With an emphasis to try to clear the Dalmatians. After parking up in Riverhead and riding the bicycle from there. I only got a few done before the batteries on my GPS went flat and when I lost phone coverage I had to change plans. In the end I ended up with 29 caches today and spent the night at Murawai.
Day 2 was. Murawai, Dalmations and then onto Orewa for the night. Another 50 caches done.
Day 3 was Shakespear and Stillwater. 29 More caches before heading home to Hamilton. Decided to bike some of this trail. This one was a little off the main trail but still able to bike to it. Thank you for the placement.

AMAZING camo on this cache! Thanks for helping us fill the morning, waiting for the tide to go out so we can continue our TA thru-hike.
I've got a few free hours in the Orewa area this afternoon, so thought I'd pop down to Stillwater to see what it's like. Nice spot, and a nice cache. Thanks!
On the way to the car now and didnt want to end the day on a dnf and as i notices this pathway looked so much easier than the last two we decided to have a go at one more.Followed the hint here as gps had us at the wrong place.A quicl find for us here with a great view of still water harbour.
I wasn't so keen today to do much walking, I wanted to get some park n' grabs that's all, but FMZ twisted my arm and so I went, but it was a nice day for a walk though, warm but not yet unbearably hot or I wouldn't have gone. Made our way here easily, not sure who found the cache but it was one of us I suppose!
Nice cache here in a cool spot. Not sure why I havent done it before! TFTC!!!
Out and about for a spot of cache detection today. Nice to be out and about on this cool but otherwise fine day. I decided to hit this trail an get some exercise today. I followed the track before detouring up the spit towards GZ. Once at GZ something out of place was spotted almost immediately. Closer inspection confirmed the find. Cheers for the cache placement!
First day of spring and a lovely afternoon for a wander on new trails for us. Love listening to the birds and enjoying the camaraderie with our buddy Grenville. He is a pseudo cacher as he loves a walk and is happy to stop and help with our geocaching searches!
We'd had our eye on this track and series for the last 3-4 years, and the mission of this summer was to complete it. Mission complete, but our geosense was definitely off today, or was it the new GPS. Brought our reef shoes so swapped our shoes and did some mud walking through the incoming tide. Nice easy find here, and maybe saved ourselves a few minutes, woohoo.
I suggested to Mr & Mrs Beconaze we go for a walk - the walk for me and mrs beconaze, this walk so Mr beconaze could zoom off ahead of us and collect the caches while we meandered along.
Which meant Mr Beconaze had found it before I even reached the area! Damn them for having such long legs compared to me! I'll have to try harder... not that its a competition...

It was a nice day for a walk so Jag50, Aiden29 and I headed here for the day. A nice quick find here,
Headed out to do part of the Okura Bush walk with Jag50 and Merlot58. Great camo, Mrs Jag found this one easily.
We were heading out to walk the Okura Bush walk with Aiden29 and Merlot58. No problems with finding this one. We found a pencil near GZ so added this to the cache.
Dusted off the cobwebs and got out finally on a nice Sunday for a walk. Been a while since we've been this way. But always a pleasure to wander around here. First find of the day took a moment to get the right location. Clever hide. SL. TFTC.
Having done the Okura Bush Walkway South of Dacre Cottage last summer I thought I'd tackle the North side with the kids... although I had no idea it would be so muddy This was our 13th find of the day. We hadn't seen a single person on our walk today until we got to this cache and there were some muggles hanging out. Luckily they were already leaving so we didn't have to hang around to long. Thanks to the hint the cache was quickly found... great camo, TFTC!
My GPSr was trying to pull me elsewhere, but you couldn't miss the right GZ. I spotted something and when I picked it up to search underneath, it was all over. TFTC.
Great camo in use here and cache not were I (wrongly) assumed it would be with 50 metres to go. Nice one G--2.
After nearly meeting Tufty yesterday where I found signs of his caravan but not him, I later encountered him at the Okura walkway and he filled me in the Piggy in the middle story, ahh that makes sense now.
Another weekend day in Auckland and still have the car my friend lent me to get round and see the sights (Geocaching). Todays plan was a many splendored thing; start off with a Wherigo and an Earthcache, clear the new caches off the 101 Dalmation road(s), do few at each end of the Stillwater/Millwater walkway at Okura Bush, dinner with my Aunt in Kumeu before returning car to Greenhithe around 7pm. A few targets and a wonderful days weather for my efforts too, nice one Auckland cachers! Managed to grab quality caches for the most part and a nice round number of 33 for the day was just the ticket.

One last cache at the end of one last spit before evilno9, TheMexican and I headed home for the day. A quick, easy find. Nice hide, TFTC
Nice hide. Had to hang on to my hat today.
The log book is full and sadly I do not have a replacement.
Beautiful spot which I have previously kayaked to.

The tide was coming in as we found this cache, our first in a fruitful afternoon TFTC
Kiwi & Scotty out enjoying an early afternoon walk collecting a couple of caches for our daily streak. This is an area we have never really visited before. Quiet, peaceful and pretty with the tide high. Quick find with help from hint. TFTC
We were out doing some tree planting in the area, so after we decided to go for a walk and have lunch on the beach followed by a few local caches.

#278 Spent the day hiking with some muggle friends so did not get to find the others on the trail, but we did manage to wander off long enough for this quick grab. Lovely view and got to see two gorgeous parrots. Will have to come back another day to pick up the rest of these.
Missed this one at the start so picked this one up on the way back. Shoes were full of mud so tried to make this quick. Great hide. TFTC
Running the trail and found with Tillygeorge13. Quick find. TFTC.

Found with Jillymc. We later realised this was actually an easy find (relative to others on the walk today!). Nice views and peaceful sunny day. Thanks
Out grabbing the Northern part of the Oakura walk today. Despite the weather forecast it's turned out brilliant.
What a beautiful spot. Love it.
Find #460. Thanks for the cache. 1/06/2014 13:31

First cache of the day. Nice camo. Knock on wood. Easy find compared to some of the others of this trail. More important: who is owning all these boats? And why is nobody taken them out on the water?
First cache for me today. I didn't have so much energy and missed quite a lot on the way. Enjoyable walk for a saturday afternoon though, so thanks for the trail, glyn . TFTC.
What a nice day to take the doggies out for a run. We now it's mentioned no dogs. But now from locals that dogs are allowed untill the "real no dog signs". So off for a nice walk
This was our first one on our trip

I don't usually like cut / paste / template logs but will make the occasional exception for 'power' trails. And this trail was indeed 'exceptional'. Started off at the Okura end just before 8am and was back in the car by about 1.45pm having made it all the way to Stillwater and back. I loved the variety in the terrain, although some of the up and down was quite hard work and I loved the variety in the caches too. Another great cache with great 'camo'. TFTC, Biggles.
I enjoyed a great afternoons walk on the Okura bush walkway through to Stillwater this afternoon with Yeetrees and gonefishing. The caches along the way really were an added bonus. I'd recommend this walk to anyone!! Cheers and TFTC
We left this one to last on our walk today, on the way back to the carpark.
Pleased to finish off with an easy one!
Thanks for the fun today.

Found during the group Okura Bush walk, enjoying the wonderful mix of beach and bush and great views along the way. Another clever Glyn camo, thanks!
Found this one as part of the Akura Bush Walk. Signed log as a group with no swaps. Thanks for the cache glyn(the only one).
Our first cache on the trail as part of the pre-mega Okura walk. A nice one to warm up to.
Many thanks

One of over 100 caches found while here for the NZ Mega. I apologise for the generic logs, but with limited internet access it's the only way to catch up! Many thanks to all the NZ cachers for such quality caches in great locations, I'm enjoying the journey you're taking me on!
This was a lovely day's walk with a great group of people, prior to the Mega. Thanks to the organisers!
