Last day of our road trip. Time to head for Brisbane but before leaving town my muggle family let me stop off and create a smiley. It didn’t take long for the beasty to be in hand.
Thanks for the cache ReXross

Gradually making our way south, after attending the CacheQLD MEGA, of course we had to make a few stops to stretch our legs on the drive from Toowoomba to Narrabri. Took a bit - perhaps we were distracted by the stunning "fence art"
Thanks ReXross for placing interesting caches on the gameboard.

Before leaving Moree we did one last cache in NSW before crossing the border after getting the good news that the Brisbane lockdown would finish at midday. I found a Very soggy log. I tried to dryer off by letting it stick to the hot pole for a while. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to dry it all. I think it’s getting wet because a part of the container is projecting beyond the host. It would have been interesting to know if the location of the cache in Moree had any relationship with the Burke and Wills expedition.
Found it easily, but the log book in the plastic bag was soaked from the flood. So we took the logbook out, and hope it will be dry soon.

Day 2 of our Mega adventure to Dayboro, Qld.
Cache found quickly and log book wet. Another that has survived the floods.
Thanks for placing for us to find. Travel bugs visited and log signed

And here we are. It is 2022, and after moving my life half the world away to Australia, discovering that Geocaching there without my friends was not as fun, generally trying to survive Australian fauna and flora and finding a job, only doing Geocaching on occasion during 2019, and then the pandemic hitting in 2020 and putting almost a complete halt to all traveling and finding, plus finally coming back to Europe to try and redo my life here this year… I have decided to sit down and log online all of the records I had gathered offline during these years. Some are lost forever (don’t trust your phone for years on end with offline logs), but hopefully I will manage to recover enough logs to paint a few broad strokes of what these years were, and the places they took me to.
Apologies in advance to all owners for this (in some cases, very) delayed logging. I can only say that sometimes we are not in the best place, and it takes time to find oneself. Thanks in advance for the hides, the places you took me to, and the stories you shared in the way.
-------------
Seeing how the pandemic seems to be spiking, we decide to stay within NSW for our Xmas holidays. But as we have not gone anywhere in almost a year, we decide to take a roadtrip and get to the furthest place possible within the state (yup, northwest corner). On the way, we go through mining towns, Broken Hill, Opal towns, Celtic towns, Casino... all the way north to Byron Bay and the border with Queensland, as we hoped to cross over to Brisbane to see a friend we had not been able to visit since all of this started.
Due to the crazy raining, flash floods and a spike in the pandemic and border closures, our trip has to go through a few changes, but we end up doing enough kilometers to have travelled from the west coast of Canada to the east coast of Canada, and all within NSW!
We continue our way east/north east, avoiding road closures and giant storms. We head towards Moree and the border.
TFTC!

Arrived in town today and set out to find a couple of geocachers. This was one I was happy to find and I have to say thanks for placing this cache in this part of town.
In Moree waiting for the Queensland border to open. Able to get around most of the caches. Thanks For the Cache.
Booked a night in the Motel here as we were making our way home from the GoldCoast heading to Melbourne via Bourke

On our way home to Melbourne, VIC after spending Christmas with family in Toorbul, QLD. Stopped by Moree for an overnight rest stop at a nearby caravan park. With the rest of the OSHFAM clan tucked up in bed, geo mum decides to go out night caching to have some down time from the long drive.
It was late night now, around 2245hrs when I arrived at GZ. Luckily I was able to park my car right next to it as I’m scared of the dark. At least there was light here.
I make a quick find having seen this type of hide before.
Luckily for me the area is quiet with only the odd truck or two passing by. No dogs barking like there was at the one I had just come from nearby.
As I leave I see a lovely mural painted on the fence line at the T-intersection.
Cache and log sheet in good condition with plenty of blank space left for others to sign.
Thank you for the cache here TeamKross

On the way to east this town shall be our place for the night. First this cache and than an (expensive) beer. The hide is nice.
Great location plenty of off road parking I am only new at geocaching and loving it a great family activitie.
Stopped in a nice spot that seemed just right to park the rig approached the GZ and a police car pull up. I thought he we go now I'll need to explain the mysteries of geocaching to the local police. Instead I found myself talking geocaching to the a local police officer who was aware of geocaching and appeared interested in what I was doing. TFTC TeamKross and I'll be back to find somemore geocaches in and around Moree.
Day three will take me from Moree to Muswellbrook. Lots of caches, a few trigs and a whole lot of fun. Tftc
The Rats and mini rats have just returned from an amazing 6-week adventure to Cape York. Along the way we had time to stop and grab a big handful of caches, some of our finds were in the remotest parts of Australia. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing your cache, you've all contributed to us having a great holiday. Apologises for the generic log.

The mini rats have been away on holidays with the Rats on another fantastic family holiday. We made it all the way to Cape York and along the way we found this cache. Thanks for adding to the thrill of our holiday.

A quick find with very little passing traffic on a Sunday afternoon.
Remember the first one of these we found and how long it took to realise what it was. After finding so many now they are one of the simplest finds to spot.
This one needs a new log sheet and the plastic bag holding the log is stuffed. Had some zip lock bags in the van but nothing small enough for this. Sorry.
Loved the race club mural across the road from this one.
Thanks.

Found with sjg66 on the way home from Longreach. Thanks to all the cache owners who maintain these caches out here.
Found the cache very quickly. Signed the log. Walked across the road to take photos of the race course mural.
#3482 A quick find after spending the night in Booni. Tomorrow I head back to Canberra. Sneaky hide, but not too hard to spot. Thanks heaps.
Travelling to Moree during the long weekend from the ACT meeting TheSkype. Long but a rewarding drive, seeing the sights and caching along the way. The main goal being the hot spring baths in Moree. Classic sneaky hide. TFTC
Log is all ripped as it looks like it’s been wet couldn’t replace it as had nothing on me
Hi there ReXross. Today was a driving day between Inverell and Moree - so a pretty easy day. We left Inverell early (before 10am) and arrived in Moree at around 12.30pm. This cache was a quick find and the container and the log are dry and in good condition. SL. Thanks to ReXross for this cache - our find #6638.
A quick park and grab not long after geoD passed a breath test by the local police not far away.
Cache container needs a bit of a cleanout - getting a bit full.

Day 1 of my trip to the Clear Waters Mega. Mostly about putting distance between me and my usual stomping ground, but a few caches were picked up along the way. TFTC!
On our way to the Mega. After setting up camp it was time to grab the local caches. A quick park and grab. Not what we were expecting. Found a spot to sign log. TFTC
Found it - probs could use a new little bag - I tried to give it one but it was too big
Parked close and pretending to stretch soon had the cache at hand.
Visited 2 TB and departed....
I loved the cache. Fave point here.

Nice one! Quick find as we’ve seen this type before. Thankyou for the chance to stop and log a cache in Moree!
Forgot to mention I made an amateur hero mistake and forgot a pen. Improvised and took a photo
I was off and racing to find this cache
The blinkers were off and I soon spied this cache from a furlong away [^]
A quick gallop-by find

The 'muriel' looks better from this side of the road too

Found with The X-Trailers travelling to the Gold Coast. A great day to be out on the open road. TFTC
Found it! Without trouble as we’ve seen one or two like this before, but newby cacher Nanna had no idea we would have been there for hours if we’d left it to her... TFTC
In Moree for a few days, mostly to soak in the hot pools but also to pick up a few caches while we're here. This was one of three we chased today, and a nice easy find as well. Thanks TeamKross for placing the caches around Moree. Cheers from Bindair Dundat and Princess Madelyn.

We are on a roadtrip to Queensland with the two geohounds. We pitched our tent at a caravan park in Moree last night. Next stop Toowoomba.
The Reluctant Geospouse spotted this as we pulled up beside GZ. Although he's not a geocacher he loves spotting them before me
Thanks for the cache TeamKross

Hi there TeamKross.
We found your cache **"Burke and Wills Moree"** today. (This makes our find count 19441).
Today we cached around Moree. The aim of the day was to cache along roads we haven't traveled on since we became full time grey nomads. Once we've done that we can draw another line on our wall map).
We found 8 caches today (DNF'd 3) .We thoroughly enjoyed our cache raid. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

We're currently on an epic road trip that's taken us to Port Macquarie and Brisbane, and now to Broken Hill and Adelaide. Today we made our way here from Brisbane, stopping along the way only to grab a cache (or two) in each local government area we passed through, to help me qualify for a challenge I'm currently pursuing. Once we had checked in to our motel, I took advantage of the fact that the was still half an hour of daylight left to get out and grab my Moree Plains finds. A straightforward find here, but initially I overlooked the obvious, made worse by the fact that I have the same camo on one of my hides at home ... I knew then that it had been a long day!
Thanks for placing this cache TeamKross.

Spent 10 beautiful days in Victoria. Now in NSW.
Driving back home via Goondiwindi.
