Logs
This evening after work, I took my bike from Brisbane CBD to Eagle Farm, and then rode along Kedron Brook back home. A pleasant evening with weather.
On my route back, I did see a few *Melrose Meanderings* geocaches that had been archived a couple of years ago, and as they were on my way home, I thought I'd make a short stop. There was a lot of flood debris around here, and I had the coordinates right next to the path. I had a brief search, but if the cache wasn't muggled, the floods would have most certainly carried this one away. Thanks anyway joonboyz for the cache placement.

The find that almost wasn't....
1MinnieMoo and I motored toward this one next. Hmmm.. poisoned plants.. hmmm.. street sign down... and 2 DNFs.. what possibly could go wrong?
We searched for quite a while. My smartphone put me in an odd area next to the path. But there was nothing near it? I expanded my search ... looking at the ground rather than items... and then.. bam.. I saw it. It just looked like a bit of rubbish on the ground.
We signed the log and put it somewhere cache-like near the co-ords (ie not in the dirt, like we found it). It has no lid. The cache owner might want to check this one out.
Glad we found this one. TFTC joonboyz

23/6/19 3:28 pm Find #2548
Arriving at this cache, Fangsoki and I were not sure what, if anything, we would be likely to find. The sign post stating how far to various locations has been knocked right out of the ground, and as to where someone would hide a micro around here well, apart from a magnetic cache on one of the poles, who'd really know.
We searched the poles, and only turned up a munzee. The clue had us looking around the ground and widening our search. All of a sudden Fangsoki noticed something on the ground. It looked like it may have just been discarded there, as it wasn't on, in or under anything, and had no lid. But it was definitely the cache. Great spotting Fangsoki!
We signed the log and placed it nearby at the base of the tree hoping it would be safe tucked away there, but it looks like this little cache may need some TLC.
Thanks for the cache joonboyz.

We couldn’t find it. Did some weeding thinking the big weeds might have been hiding it. Turned over plenty of bark. But no luck.
That was a tricky one to nail down. I finally turned over the right bit of random bark and there it was. Thanks for the cache
Literally stumbled upon it. No lid, so paper is quite weathered. Like someone else’s earlier find, we placed the same piece of bark over it. Good luck!
Searched for almost an hour, either we had muggle brain or it’s not there. Maybe next time
Log was a bit damp. The cache was very easy to see as it was lying on the hround with nothing over it. Returned it and hid it under sime bark. TFTC
Second time looking for it. Unfortunately had to use previous activity to help. Not where I was expecting! Ha. Many thankss
After looking about in the bushes, it was finally located by our youngest creed member as it right at her height. The log was damp, but still workable. TFTC
Found this one after much looking...co-odd spot on but not magnetic...not too sure if it has fallen off its holder but cache is still there but log is damp...'Debris' is a good hint though...TFTC!
Not the magnetic cache i was expecting, but found none the less.
Thanks for hiding the cache for us to find
Thanks for hiding the cache for us to find
I normally ignore caches that have recent dnfs. Fortunately I was on a phone call whilst in he area so as I talked and wandered I poked around for the cache. Found it where I did not expect to. Log is damp and not sure this will survive any inundation but a find for me. Tftc.
Walking to Nundah from Eagle Junction train station. Did some impromptu caching. Got muggled out of number 3 earlier by coffee drinkers, now there are 5 council employees working on the garden at GZ!!
Weren’t too confident coming into this one, but I should never have doubted us, as we ended up finding it quite easily, although now that we’ve found it, I’m not sure how!? It’s actually rather difficult! The hint immediately made me have one thought when we arrived at GZ, but I didn’t understand how that was going to end up being magnetic. Well, that’s because it didn’t end up being magnetic! We would recommend focusing more on the clue, as the GZ coordinates were out by 8m, and honing in on where the hint comes from, then where the hint is...
Unable to sign, pencil and log totally deteriorated in cache. are biting! Have photo of cache of required. Tftc
Thanks for the heads up about the soggy pulp! The entire cache has been replaced!!
Danger points for this one - those ants are vicious! Couldn't sign as log a soggy pulp!
After finding the last melrose cache, we thought that we may as well meander down the path and find another one.
Just as well we did!!! Mr 4ando takes off like the wind leaving behind a dust trail..and the geo-girls. Apparently he must have a bionic ear, a freighter was coming. Geo-girls weren't even aware there were any train tracks let alone a train!
Once again we cracked up laughing (at his expense) he just gets so excited by these massive vehicles (I'm sure I will get told 'massive vehicles" is not the term for these beasts).
While he was fist pumping the air and waving at the driver, geo-daughter busted out some narly moves on her bmx. I tried telling her (while Geo-hubby was still enjoying the train) that BMX Bandits was one of my favourite movies as a kid and I was the proud owner of a red bmx after watching it for the 10th time. She politely told me I've never heard of the movie, I said Nicole Kidman was in it, to which she replied who's Nicole Kidman? Anyway she may be young but she still has the moves on the bike...

Quick find. Lots of cricket on nearby. Tftc! I live nearby and occasionally jog along here, it's a lovely area. Today I took a nice long walk with my dog and found some of the caches closest to home.
Avenging a DNF from a year and eight days ago. Found it quickly this time, but I had to stand around nonchalantly pretending not to be some mad stalker, getting bitten by mosquitos while waiting for people running and biking to pass before returning it. TFTC.
A great morning riding around the park. This little guy was found safe and sound! TFTC
Quick find. Had to be discreet as cricketers and spectators were nearby. TFTC
Nice quick find, if u follow the advice & don't assume its on metal as its magnetic! TFTC:-)
Another tricky one. Tiny cache... really need your good eyes to spot this one. Tftc
had a bit of trouble cause gps was jumping around. very windy. finally settled. nice little find with finders141 and rusty my geo dog.
Thought we were sure of where it was but gave up searching after 15 minutes. Ants were ferocious.
Sorry, this one washed away again. please stop raining!!
Will replace as soon as I can.
Will replace as soon as I can.
Found ok. Not very water tight but logbook seems to be holding up anyway. TFTC
Managed to not get attacked by the guardians. Didn't have a pen so attached a photo. TFTC
Yep, lots of ants in the hiding place. Looks like it's gotten wet at some point too. Didn't have a pen on us, sorry. TFTC! Nice hide!
The container was not quite what I was expecting. Uncovering the container seem to upset a nest of ants. TFTC joonboyz
Our last day in Brisbane and of course we did some geocaching. This was one of them we found.
Thanks for the cache and many greetings from Germany!
